Absolute magic 🤘🏼✨
No. It’s science and art.
Ed! I've tried to understand double exposure, and tried a bunch on my own, and nothing helped me understand it the way this video did. Thank you for keeping it simple. Now I'm all excited to go shoot more, and I know I won't feel so defeated.
These photos are beautiful, Eduardo. You really captured the magic you spoke of at the beginning of the video.
Beautiful results with your images! I've probably watched a dozen videos on multiple exposures over the past few days, and you're the first one to explain the light/dark dynamic clearly. THANK YOU for that. Super helpful!
i've got to be honest. i hardly ever post comments on youtube, but i have to say this is a extraordinary clear guide on how to get into multiple exposures. Will go out right now and try it out. Thanks!
This has been the best tutorial ive seen so far!!!! Ive tried and tried to understand double exposure for so long. But youve explained it so well!!!! Thank you!!! 😊
Thank you so much, I have always been looking for such a tutorial, and now my fav UA-camr makes one. This helps so much!
I truly do not know what to say about Fran. You guys don’t talk about yourselves as much but one thing stands out without being told and that is that I can actually SEE you loving her. Hopefully that makes sense.
so this is the 3rd video of you i stumble upon while searching for analog techniques and cam reviews. now you got the sub. keep up the great work! now i want to watch the video.
Thanks! The white/black (highlight/shadow) analogy really helped me understand the process. I really like the shot using a drawing as well. Tons of new ideas coming to me.
The best video I’ve seen on this topic so far. Very helpful. Thank you
Just getting back into film, and now into double exposures. This is the best and most useful explanation I’ve seen yet, particularly about the light and dark, and using black and white film to emphasise the point. Thank you.
The best video so far on double exposure for a beginner like me. Thanks so much!
After watching many of these videos yours is definitely the most helpful! Thank you! 🙌
Most creative hint on film multiple exposure so far. Well done! love the masking idea of shooting drawings w black marker on paper, need to try this myself! WELL DONE Eduardo!!
This has been the best explanation and helpful for poalroid double exposure. Thank u!
nice job Ed, glad you used the TLR camera too. This is one of the fastest, best explained double exposure videos I've seen.
Very nice explanation of the black and white in the image. Took my first double exposure image today. It turned out decent for a first trial.
They look abolutely stunning
you explained the concept so well! awesome video, awesome shots. thanks!
Thank you so much! My Canon A1 has a double exposure setting and I'm much more informed about it now! Seriously bless you for this! ✌📷😁
THANK YOU. You broke this down and explained it flawlessly, also amazing work! You've earned my subscription!
Excellent Eduardo! Understanding the "white" effect is key. The first girl & tree was my fav, she doesn't seem very happy... I do night photography so we do layers for a composite. In fact I did one last night. The Christmas tree was blowing-out the Nutcracker figurines set-up next to the tree so I metered & shot them separate, then stacked them in PS. Safe Travels!
Wow, the leaves at 5:00 are stellar.
Looks incredible, thanks for all the tips and ideas
You were the first one to make double exposures really click in my head! Thank you Eduardo!
yo i might be a little high but i felt hella emotional when he was taking the photos.... Truly amazing and informative
No judgement here about being high and watching UA-cam! I’m glad you enjoyed the pictures. :)
Ohhh man this video was so comprehensive, now I feel ready to try it myself. Thank you very much señor Eduardo
Very helpful video! And the photos looked amazing
This was a great video, and I don't think I've ever commented that on a photography channel in my life.
You made it so easy to understand!! Thank you, i will wait until i'm more advanced (am on my first roll) to try double exposure, it looks so cute!
Gracias!
I come here today, love this video and how you explain it!
Lovely examples. Thanks for sharing!
thanks for sharing your idea , it's easy to understand that for beginner similar me.
great thourugh explanation of the process, thank you!
Beautiful work!
Thanks so much for the details on this topic!! Helps a lot 😅
i once tried to do some double exposures. I have an Argus C3 Matchmatic, a camera you have to remember to advance the film after each shot otherwise you'll accidentally use the same frame for a second exposure. Neither did I know I had to shoot with -1EV or use the white and black for better effect. However, I got one nice picture. My FM2 allows multiple exposures. I'll try it again following your advice. Thanks for the video.
Just finished watching this video 👍 and life is just a little better 👌

Super video thanks! Been doing double exposures on digital, one exposure in colour and one in B&W. Gives the image interesting look.
Very good explanation, thanks!
Those double exposure, feel like artistic way to approach the photography.

Awesome video I like how you said tres dos uno before you took the photo
Que buen video Edo!! Me encantó.

another amazing video!
thanks for sharing so many great videos with us
i enjoy every single one of them
The 'ghosty' ones are not cheesy at all, but precious!!!
Best double exposures tutorial on youtube
Great tutorial. I print using chemical processing. I do not use light room or photoshop, instead, I use high filter on enlarger to get it the same effect. I have to try the double exposure using my Mamiya 6 rangefinder camera.
Thank you so much
Exactly what i was looking for, thanks for the explainer!
great tutorial. Thank you very much
really like this video, good explanation! been looking for a good tutorial for a long time. keep up!!
Hey Eduardo, you've helped me through about five rolls of film with my Minolta X-700 in the last two months or so. It's really satisfying shooting with film again lol.
I was wondering, will you do a video of the best way to display photos in a portfolio or gallery/home setting? Like if there is a certain way to display portraits, black and white, etc and if they should be matte or gloss finish, etc? Thank you 💖❤️
Amazing 🔥🔥
wow, very nice video and beautiful pictures
Such an interesting experiment i really love the results!
Lo máximo. Era lo que buscaba, muy bien explicado
Hi! Great video thanks! What i didn't really understand was the shot on 4:52. If white color can't be replaced by any new information, how diid the second black branch appear on the image in the space which should have been white? May someone please explain, because the result is just amazing?
For everyone who is using 35mm Film cameras: to take multiple exposures you need to push and hold a button at the bottom of the cameras and rewind once. (Normally you push this button when the end of the film is reached so you unlock the possibility to rewind the whole film. )
It is not a very exact thing as sometimes the Film is still moved a Little but it works even with the cheapest camera.
The issue is: not every 35mm has a rewind button, and there’s no way to rewind the frame exactly, because the wind moves different amounts of film, depending on where in the roll you are (beginning, middle or end). So I would highly suggest getting a 35mm camera that allows for double exposures, instead of trying this (the Canon A-1, for example, can do it!).
A good intro digital cameras for this are the Fuji S3 + S5 DSLRs btw ;) They have multiple exposure features built in, take Nikon F mount lenses and the S3 only costs around £100. I practiced with one on my college course before shooting on film and you can see first hand on the spot. Great explanation of how to take the shot as always Ed!!
Amazing Tut ! But you should've covered the camera shutter mechanism you use when you do double exposures, I mean how you stop the film of rolling while pressing these 2 shutter presses.
THIS IS PURE MAGIC -- love it!!!! Thanks so much for the video...
Superb. Thanks man!
Magical
Finally an vlog very good and well explained video about double exposures. I own the same camera, can you tell me what actually happens when using the double exposure mode? I normally cock the shutter after the first frame manually again(not winding the crank) Looking forward to hear from you.
I didn't know about the ghost thing, surely I'll give it a try! Nice video
what a wonderful tutorial!
A thousand of thanks dude !
Thank you !!!
I had no idea that you did photography, I first came across you from Frans content many years ago. When I saw her as your subject I was like wait I remember this guy. Subscribed! Looking forward to catching up on your content as I explore my Yashica 635.
Obrigado Eduardo!
