Dawn, this is a complement, I fell asleep while watching and listening to your video, it’s your soothing voice, my husband said keep it and use it to meditate, Thank you Dawn thank you 🙏
Thank you for "unraveling" the mystery of sewing two ends together into one tube ... I cannot tell you how grateful I am that you are so kind & wise to understand the importance of purposely slowing down to truly show us ALL of the steps (now matter how small!!!) so that we can truly also create beautiful textiles & garments "fashioned" after your heart and your hands!!!! * You are a lovely "soul" to follow and learn from * We L💗VE your handiwork and your kind heart my dear!!!!!
Thank you Connie, this message made my day! Huge smile, and heart warmed knowing that I am helping to inspire others, and my 'slow southern style' is beneficial to all!
Great video. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and thorough skill set. I sincerely appreciate it. Now if I can get my zipper to look like yours I will be beyond excited 😊
I’ve been sewing for more years than I want to admit, but I always learn something new from your videos. Every winter I tell myself that I want to sew a travel scarf but I put it off until it’s too late. You have inspired me to make one now so I have it for my next winter vacation. Hopefully Covid will allow that by 2022. Because we are go to a hot climate id like to sew a lightweight fabric. I must check out my stash. Thanks again.
This message made my day! Thank you for your kindness! I love my travel scarf, it's perfect for trips to the grocery store and long walks too! It keeps my phone and my music playing for me! Happy Holidays! Thank you again!
I love your videos!! I will be making at least one of these for Christmas! This is also a good idea for Jersey fabric for a lightweight scarf for warmer times of the year. Thanks for your inspiration.
Thank you so much. Started with you yesterday & finished today. Created a beautiful scarf for my son's girlfriend. I love it. Might need to make one for me too. Merry Christmas !!
Dawn thanks for sharing another great tutorial. Now I know what to make with all the fleece I’ve accumulated over the years. I think my grandkids will enjoy a lovely scarf. The pocket is a great idea too. Adding these to my projects list for the New Year. Please are you able to give suggested measurements for children of 8 years and perhaps toddlers of 2 years old too? 😍😍
Great video! Thank you! New hobby and a new subscriber to your channel. Love your clear, calm, teaching style. :) The pointer tool is great. All this time I've been using a double sided plastic & rubber pointed tip cuticlel file as my third hand which is a tremendous help. I use it the exact way you use the pointer. Love it. I wouldn't want to sew without it. I had no idea pointers existed. Thanks for the helpful tips and links. :)
Hi Dawn, Subscribed to your site a few nights ago and really liked your presentation and tips for the lovely scarfs. I also watched the video on your magnetic pin cushion and bracelet. After the holidays I am planning to make all I have viewed. I am also from PA (N.Huntingdon) nearby Monroeville. Nice to know your location and that we are neighbors. Wish you a Merry Christmas & Happy New Year !
Was referred to this tutorial from watching your organic face mask tutorial. Really enjoyed watching and learning about how to make this scarf. Now I need to learn how to use my sewing machine I purchased so I can make this. My Auntie would love 💜 this for her walks. Now would be the time to start on it for Christmas project. Thank you for sharing. Do you make this for sell?
Hi Julie! Thanks for watching both videos and supporting my channel! As a matter of fact I do sell this scarf, and I think I have a few in inventory of this fabric combo which I loved! Here is the link: streamlineseamstress.com/product/mobius-scarf/ Please use 'FREESHIP' at checkout for free shipping in USA from me! God bless, and be well!
Lovely project. I appreciate all the detail you leave in your videos for the newbies. As a newbie, I'm wondering why you leave such a big seam allowance only to cut it down at the end? TIA.
Good question!!! You need the larger seam allowance to secure the zipper in place; and that seam allowance needs to be flush with the rest of the scarf internal seams! I’m a huge fan of doing less work and if you had a serger, you could serge those seams and it would eliminate the need to trim them later. However, for those that do not have a serger I wanted to share how to execute removing the bulk! With a wheel and mat it literally takes 1 minute to do! Thanks for the great question, happy holidays!

From a beginner.
You are welcome! Thanks for watching, Happy Holidays!
What stitch length are you using? Very clever scarf.
My go to is 12 stitches per inch, with fleece you can go less and make the stitches bigger. :)

Do you think you could make a tutorial on your pin bracket? It is so convenient
Hi Karen, Thank you for watching! Yes I did make that video - learn how to make one for yourself here! ua-cam.com/video/IOEsaDWTtdo/v-deo.html
Any way to make a velcro closure instead of a zipper?
I like that idea! I will work on that!
Could you use this same technique on Flannel?
Yes! Absolutely you can!
This may have been asked already but, what is your iron set at for using on fleece?
Hot with steam, and I have never had any issues as long as I move the iron and not park it.
The magnet pin video?
What is the link to your magnetic pin cushion?
