Beautifully explained.
If you leave your opening for turnung *inside the pocket*, you don‘t have a seam to close from the outside on the actual scarf :)

I tried this with a bamboo jersey knit and it turned out pretty well! I did a zigzag stitch and threw a very light interfacing against the zipper to make it work in a knit. I think it'll be great for travel. Thanks for the tutorial!
