I said what I said I did not know there was a Haitian Community in the UK and why do I need to research that may I ask? I do not see Haitians at any major Afro-Caribbean events, not even Carnival where most if not all of the islands are represented. Oh please.
@MySultrySounds Okay my bad and yes my lineage does go back to the Transatlantic Slave Trade, as although born here, both of my parents are from the Caribbean. I and every Caribbean person are aware and cite with pride Haiti's accomplishments for which they are still being punished today by the powers that they successfully fought off. You are the only island in the Caribbean that has kept and fully embrace African Spirituality. Would that the other islands would do the same. Without African Spirituality Haiti would not have survived to this day despite the struggles faced. Have a blessed day Voodum.
Historians need to really highlight WHY Haiti is poor. They fought for and then paid France to remain free...some of the same reasons Cuba is poor.

Love the piece of history that is shared. It keeps my head up as a young Haitian woman to know that that the sky is the limit to what many of us can do.🥰
I am a Jamaican American living in the USA one of my best friend is Haitian descent I think the Haitian people are the most kind loving caring people I’ve ever met I love Haiti and it’s people.
Thank for that
Thank you for your knowledge
You’re a great historian love ❤️🌹🇭🇹🇨🇦
Mèsi anpil!
Make me question why the Duke of hastings is a blk man in that show the Bridgerton on Netflix
You said something here!!!
Because ppl have been lying about pepole that where in power being black been doing it for years to be honest same as cleopatra shes black for me they'll never be able to hide what I already know research it interesting...
Ou nan zin
This was a wonderful documentary. I'm proud to see that even during this difficult time..having to travel to a foreign land she carried herself like the queen she was..until her last days🇭🇹👑
@@skylarblacc1660 I'm all for not white-washing history but honestly Cleopatra was not black. If you've done research into Egyptian dynasties, you'll see that she was the last ruler of the Ptolemaic Dynasty. She was the descendent of Alexander the Great, who was a Macedonian Greek. In fact, Cleopatra's native language was Greek and, she (revered for her intelligence) was the only Ptolemaic ruler to even learn the Egyptian language.
Wow unbelievable story that our people and others need too know about us Haitian and our country I’m so excited to know about it really appreciate that
Great acts of the historic appreciation sharing to us by this Haitian american.thanks for it.
Beautiful presentation! I enjoyed the video which is very informative for me as a Haitian. I did not know there were Haitians living in UK. Thank you for the sharing! Please share more.
I did not either, the UK also has a small Latin American community. The world has come to the UK.
Wow thank you very much that was breathtaking to learned a new story of Haiti 🇭🇹 I am so proud i think there are much more to learn 😀 about our insestors beautiful 😍 ❤ 💜 great video
Wow I’ve learned a lot with this documentary, I was born in Haiti and move to Canada when I was a kid. Thank you so much, it was needed. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
This is so interesting. I did not even know that there is a Haitian Community in London. I did not know that there were people from that area of the Caribbean here.
@MySultrySounds Excuse me????? At no point was I disrespectful. You do not need to tell me to wake up and do my research.
WoW, je n’était pas au courant de notre histoire, merci du partage!
