This was about the only time i was even remotely on Homelanders side. Like, dude is a absolute Psycho, but i had zero empathy for the people in that Room.
The scene between Butcher and Ryan was one of my favorite moments of the show. A very real, emotional and vulnerable moment between the two. I wish the show had more moments like this.

The theory is that the weapon on Sister Sage’s table is a lobotomy tool. She uses it on herself to dumb herself down, almost giving herself a sort of high. Cuz she’s a supe she can regenerate after.

This minor view of Homelander at 19:34 showing his annoyance, rage and frustration to not killing Hughie and also the rest of the boys as well makes me realize that this season is going to be the ultimate crashout event for Homelander. We all thought that he was gonna reach this point last season even with all that happened with Soldier Boy and Stormfront but now, it's really official. He's going to crashout this season. It's
inevitable.
I mean tbh the Boys are alive purely because of plot. There's absolutely no reason at all period that Homelander doesn't just fly to where they are and kill all of them. It made sense in season 2 when they were basically living off the grid but he knows exactly where they are based this season.
@@ThePartisan13I think he respects the people that don’t fear him and are transparent with him. He can’t bring himself to kill butcher or Stan or that lady who raised him in ep 4. It is kinda plot armour with the rest of the boys though.
@@jaydenplayz2792 Butcher makes sense Homelander already said there's no point in taking him out in his state, Stan is probably the only one that actually scares him and I haven't seen episode 4 yet so idk about some lady.
@@ThePartisan13 unfortunately if you ever look too deep into super universes everything easily doesn’t make sense or is fixed like that. The main reason why this show is great is because almost every scene is captivating and engaging; it doesn’t give the watcher time to think over “hey this is dumb” if we’re so busy being impressed by the visuals and the performance by the actors.
Also my main excuse I can come up with homelander is that he’s mentally deranged and can’t prioritize anything important (which I think helps avoid this plot point of homelander killing the boys)
@@isaiah2917 I just put it down to bad writing. And I mean I might be in the minority here but the writing hasn't been good since season 2. Pre season 3 writing would have had a logical well thought out excuse for why Homelander isn't actively taking them out as opposed to the audience just needing to accept it. Sure there's been some good moments in season 3 and 4, I'm not saying they're god awful, just not as good writing as it was.
MM was freaking out on Butcher for teaming up with Soldier Boy, even though it was the first and only real chance so far to actually defeat Homelander. But now wants Hughie to accept A-Train without complaining.
To be fair, Soldier Boy was the same arrogant asshole he was all those years ago. A train showed signs of changing.
I know right no one is seeing this! Parallel!! It has been driving me crazy, I watched the boys with my friends, saw reaction channels but no one seems to pick up on this! The whole reason the boys hate butcher is because he teamed up with soldier boy not considering his team and now MM is doing the same with A train!
Absolutely right, MM had grave personal issues with Soldier Boy, but so does Hughie with A-Train. Playing CO card to force him to work with AT is a blatant double standard...
And he also sent Hughie to plant that bug while he sat and watched, even though the mission parameters just changed and it could be hella dangerous...

Homelander’s behavior can never be conducive to real love because he’s a psychopath, the trauma he endured in childhood turned him into one, so no matter how much tries to be loved he’ll always do the wrong thing. He was never shown love, so how could he possibly know how to love or be loved? But as much as he hates it he’s still got some human in him, and he will always crave it. It’s crazy how this show has made me hate his guts and want him dead but also empathize with him, at the end of the day Homelander is a product of humans trying to play God.
the only reason ,THE ONLY REASON,why i sympathize with him just a little is because of exactly this,they gave him what the Russians did to Soldier Boy in Russia but as a kid ,and I will always blame them for creating the monster we know as Homelander

Yeah, admittedly MM hasn’t been one of my favorite characters these past few seasons but at this point he’s one of my least favorite characters after these past few episodes. He kept spouting all that “the whole point of what we do” crap to Butcher last season, but as soon as he gets an ounce of power it’s “I’m your C.O.” and “I tell you what to do and you do it” the level of hypocrisy is unreal😂😂

I think I have an idea what Sage is doing. I think she's trying to orchestrate so that she ends up on top and Homelander is out of the picture. She's trying to incite so much fighting that they'll all end up killing each other; the Boys, Neuman, Homelander, etc. She knows she doesn't have the strength to off Homelander herself, so she's inciting all these people to do the fighting for her, including Homelander. I think she's schmoozing The Deep as a shield for her in case Homelander turns on her. Even if he can't beat him in a slug-off, Deep being able to breath underwater (the fact that Deep can withstand underwater pressure, like he found a sperm whale way back in season 2, those live like thousands of feet under the sea, that'd turn most humans to paste, he must have some endurance) and control aquatic creatures, Homelander still needs to breath air, I'm just saying there's some potential. She's doing and saying whatever gets the quickest results.

When you think about it, firecracker is right about Annie still being the same. We've seen her blackmail Gecko into giving her compound V to release into the public and then killing that guy to jack his car in order to save Hughie back in season 2. We just excused it at the time. She was even ready to blast A-Train in front of his family, if Hughie hadn't stopped her. And she's right to be upset with Annie since she pretty ruined her life with that rumor.
