I feel like this whole Frenchie story could have been better if Frenchie didn’t know that he killed Colin’s family until that scene, this episode, when he talked about it. Or at the very least, they could have found out after he was already in a relationship with him. He went into this relationship knowing he killed his family. That’s horrible.
They probably wasn't interested enough to make Colin an important character for the show he basically just one time character to bring the best of the protagonist, probably gonna die on future episode but idk.
No because that wouldn't make sense with his character. I think everyone needs to re-watch the show or something because you would know that Frenchie takes sex super casually, and that he does it as a coping mechanism/ for comfort. That's why he tried to get with Kimiko-- because he recognized her traumas. That's why he got with Collin. Also make note that the dude is basically a psychopath.
@@wingsoficarus1139 I don't think he's a psychopath, he clearly carries guilt for his actions and is very capable of empathy as shown in his introduction to Kimiko. However he does have an incredibly warped sense of morality, which is somewhat understandable. He clearly had a horrific childhood, a violent adolescence/early adulthood, and then got recruited by the CIA (aka "the good guys") to kill people in cold blood. That doesn't excuse any of his actions, but it does paint a clear picture of why and how he reached the mental state that he's in.
Give Antony Starr every award because he's given us possibly the best villain performance ever since Heath Ledgers Joker (possibly even better than Ledgers Joker)
A small part of me wondered if maybe Firecracker admitting to THAT on TV and still being accepted was maybe a bit too much. But then I remembered the story of former Georgia Republican US Senate nominee, Roy Moore. And just recently Robert Morris (Megachurch pastor and ex-Trump adviser) admitted to a similar crime against a 12 year old not too long ago and just yesterday there were like thousands of people at one of his events.
Honestly, that sounded pretty accurate. We all know at least one of those “God Found Me” Christians who spent years drinking, shooting up, abusing or just fucking around. But it’s all a-okay because now that they found God, they are different people now. Now they get to judge everyone around them instead.
I mean honestly Starlight screwing over the bill could have easily been spun. all dude had to say was "SEE!? Look at how unhinged and violent supes are! get them out!" and it would have worked.
5:09 I agree. Frenchie used to be one of my favorite characters, but, like you said, this season has made me see Frenchie as an evil monster that started playing mind games with a victim that already had his family murdered then he had to deal with the fact that he repeatedly slept with his family's killer. 11:06 I think they shot at Kimiko at the bullets bounced off. 27:28 I think the Compound V attached itself to the cancer in Butcher instead of his bloodstream so now it's like a parasite that needs a host to survive and when the host is threatened the parasite with the V takes over.

@@emmanueloginni8131 yeah I know it’s kinda typecasting but man to see Homelander as a smart and calculated speedster with nothing but hate would be awesome.
The issue many people have with the Frenchie and Kimiko storylines is that they seem like they shoulda been from S1. But at the same time they are inline with the storylines of the rest of the cast. I think episode 4 ties together the theme of the first three episodes and what seems to be the theme of the season as a whole. That theme being the past coming back to haunt you. From Hughie, A Train, Butcher, Homelander, Starlight, Frenchie, Kimiko, and so on.
I feel like people mistake Frenchie's storyline being out of nowhere. We already know he was never a good person, just someone we've empathized with. With this universe focused on taking down people who are imposters pretending to be heroes, it's only fair when OUR heroes also gets the sincere consequences for their actions from the past and present. The last arc with lamplighter had you understanding and empathizing with Frenchie's perspective, so they give something no one absolutely can't defend.
Everyone knows what compound v is. Remember in season 2 it was revealed in the news that that's how supes are created. So I'm sure Hughie's mom knew what that was.
While killing ALL OF THOSE guys was a bit much... I genuinely can't fault Homelander for doing what he did to the 2 old dudes and Barbara. They brutally tortured a child FOR YEARS and made him their lab rat. They're the reason that Homelander is the way he is, and I genuinely think that they share some blame for EVERYTHING AWFUL that Homelander has ever done. PS: While his upbringing was fucked up and it explains Homelander, I do not think that it excuses all the awful things that he did and continues to do.
facts, but isnt that a facility where they do what they did to Homelander to other kids,so I would assume those new workers arent as innocent as they appear to be ,but i could be way off
Homelander being aware of why hes fucked up makes him an even worse villain because he could actually change but he won't because of his giant ass ego and anger issues.
@@xavierbaker6143 i think you very well might be right. I thought the same thing, too. But then again... looking at the reaction of that one lady who threw up... Idk if someone with that weak a stomach would be working a job that'd require her to, basically, torture kids/help to torture kids. Ya know? At first I thought maybe that lab was dedicated to finding a way to kill Homelander or something. @@SidPhoenix2211 oh yh I'm not saying he did it to prevent other kids from going through the same thing, he's a bit far out there to even think of doing that for that reason , buttttt of it was for Homelander exclusively, then the place would've been shut down unless it was repurposed , but I could be completely wrong so who knows , but again for them to be working in such a shady division from the knowledge we already know kinda makes my sympathy for them diminish slightly

The single frame flashbacks you see of Homelander as a kid being burned in the oven here 7:31 are the same as in the first episode of this season when Homelander was sleeping and having a nightmare. The writers of this show often use foreshadowing like this in many episodes. It's cool they waited 3 episodes to bring it back.
I’m surprised you guys haven’t paid respects to Chance, aka Andre from Gen V if you didn’t know he passed away in a motorcycle accident not too long ago.
There is a theory that Joe Kessler is imaginary in Butcher's head, his demon on his shoulder, who urges him to do the bad things, while Becca is his angel. This theory also applies to Hughie's mom, who is said to be a manifestation that appears due to his use of temp V, which is how she knew to use the V: she was his justification to do it himself without any feelings of guilt. The trailers do show that Hugh's dad may possibly be a compound V zombie. This is something from the comics where dead supes like Lamplighter would be injected with V upon death, and become mindless zombies
Homelander calls it the "Bad Room", because his bad thoughts would come to him there. I think that he already imagined their bodies and the way the blood is, I think he was like an artist, who had the vision already, he just wanted to have someone "watch the process"... the way all the mess is, seems deliberately chosen, every smear and faceless skull is carefully picked. The gore depo. I think they also treated it like a painting, in order to get that out of Homelanders character. Like they could have just gone in and chucked things randomly, but everything strangely looks placed with thought in mind. It's more terrifying knowing that...

The only issue I have that felt very plot armorish was when Kimiko got blown in half by that girl but is shown after to be fine and fighting after Huey’s fight. That girl had more than enough time to finish off Kimiko with that injury before her regeneration put her back together. Felt very convenient that was off screened and just leaves it up to imagination.
We've seen that Kimiko's regen is pretty fast and potent. She was mush in the first ep but got up like nothing in a few seconds. Maybe that girl thought that would be enough to kill her or at least incapacitate her for good minute
I feel like it could be like a symbiote and when butcher blacks out he has a secondary personality like the hulk and Bruce banner or the sentry with the void
There was a theory going around that Hughie’s Mom isn’t actually there and she’s all in his head, just like how Butcher is having hallucinations of Becca. Every time she’s in the room with him it seems like she’s not even there, even the doctors don’t make eye contact with her. That got disproved when Hughie went to spoke to a lawyer about her having medical rights to his dad. Regardless I definitely don’t get good vibes from her. Aside from being a deadbeat mom she’s obviously very fishy since she has connections with Vought.
What I want to know is if she got Compound V from Vought, or if she pickpocketed Hughie when she hugged him and took the one he brought to give to his dad.
Homelander mentions that in the bad room, he would be locked inside, for days on end with no food, toiletries and stuff. He thought he was alone, but he realized that they were watching him all along. The ony reason that boy didn't kill Frenchie was because in his eyes, he could see how badly a killer wanted to die. Yea Frenchie is trash and he needs rehab. He basically Frank from Shameless.

It be like that sometimes😂😂U don't want to watch a scene but at the same time u wanna see what's happening
He’s not supposed to be a good person tho, he’s literally a murderer. Just because he wants to be a better person doesn’t mean he necessarily will be.
Nothing is saving that waste of time.
8:49 i aint gone lie, I'm getting cooked😂
not enough boxing fans here lol
Editor stays *cooking* with the humor 😂
10:00 I believe the reason they didn't shoot is because A-Train was there. And they did not want that smoke 😂
That man was laughing like the fucking joker man. Peak homelander, this shit is terrifying
Give Antony Starr every award because he's given us possibly the best villain performance ever since Heath Ledgers Joker (possibly even better than Ledgers Joker)
That “hawk-tuh” edit was genius and perfect timing!!!😂😂😂😂
The transition from Firecracker to Diddy was Diabloical y'all editor is INSANE lmao
Homelander's maniacal, mirthful cackle at Marty was just *chef's kiss* perfect. Starr never misses with this performance.
“I ain’t gone lie i’m getting cooked” While Frank is literally getting cooked😭😭😭
Yea as long as you play the god angle, and you already have a base, you really can anything and people will forgive you.
Not too mention female pedos generally tend to get a free pass

Honestly, that sounded pretty accurate. We all know at least one of those “God Found Me” Christians who spent years drinking, shooting up, abusing or just fucking around.
But it’s all a-okay because now that they found God, they are different people now.
Now they get to judge everyone around them instead.

25:08 *THIS WAS ME* all 3 of yall reactions, I couldn’t look *DIRECTLY* at my tv during this scene 😭😭😭😭😭
18:30 HAWK TUAH!! 🤣
Even if sounds like typrcasting him, it's impossible to deny that Antony Starr was born to play Homelander. His interpretation is perfect
listen ,ion care what he says,or what the world says, him and RDJ(Robert Downey Jr) were born to play their greatest respective roles Antony Starr-Homelander and RDJ- Iron Man
I prefer him as Hood in Banshee

This was the first time I was tensed watching this show, im not even kidding. Antony Starr is damn amazing and I really really hope he plays Reverse Flash one day.
@@OVOJermeyouu reverse flash. I can see that👌🏾
@@emmanueloginni8131 yeah I know it’s kinda typecasting but man to see Homelander as a smart and calculated speedster with nothing but hate would be awesome.
I would also like to add the scientists who made Homelander also paid for they past too
Everyone knows what compound v is. Remember in season 2 it was revealed in the news that that's how supes are created. So I'm sure Hughie's mom knew what that was.
She works at Vought that’s why she knows
8:49 I heard that 🤣 editor is a menace
@@Deminese2 oh yh for sure but his ship has LONG sailed , and he's decided that he's made his bed and is gonna slp in it so🤷
@@xavierbaker6143 i think you very well might be right.
But either way, Homelander killed em to kill em and torture Barbara until she dies of starvation in that room. he didn't do it to dispense justice or anything. Intent matters, imo.

4:42 damn, I hate say it, but that stormfront quote might be coming into play here, confusing nice with good, little nina has even confirmed that frenchie has unalived children before, he has alotta great redeeming qualities but frenchie isn't necessarily a good guy, more so morally grey like everyone here.

the fact that the firecracker actress is a lesbian and plays a fascist and anti-trans character is crazy lmao
The Boys being The Boys even outside the series
In fairness, there are *absolutely* transphobic, fascist lesbians in real life

There are plenty of Carvels in NYC.

Love how they reference the supernatural series with president Bob singer aka Bobby singer.

I’m surprised you guys haven’t paid respects to Chance, aka Andre from Gen V if you didn’t know he passed away in a motorcycle accident not too long ago.
I didn’t know until the normies vid I think, it’s so sad. I think he was my favorite actor from that series.
They talked about it on twitter the day he died
There is a theory that Joe Kessler is imaginary in Butcher's head, his demon on his shoulder, who urges him to do the bad things, while Becca is his angel. This theory also applies to Hughie's mom, who is said to be a manifestation that appears due to his use of temp V, which is how she knew to use the V: she was his justification to do it himself without any feelings of guilt. The trailers do show that Hugh's dad may possibly be a compound V zombie. This is something from the comics where dead supes like Lamplighter would be injected with V upon death, and become mindless zombies

First thing I thought was "Is it still just a room Barbara?"
Sheera’s hair and makeup looks SO GOOD OMG 💗💗💗🫵🏾🫵🏾🫵🏾
Homelander calls it the "Bad Room", because his bad thoughts would come to him there. I think that he already imagined their bodies and the way the blood is, I think he was like an artist, who had the vision already, he just wanted to have someone "watch the process"... the way all the mess is, seems deliberately chosen, every smear and faceless skull is carefully picked. The gore depo. I think they also treated it like a painting, in order to get that out of Homelanders character. Like they could have just gone in and chucked things randomly, but everything strangely looks placed with thought in mind. It's more terrifying knowing that...

I had for real thought he did something to that cake too. I was like don’t eat it but it’s homeland so what are you gone do? 😂

25:14 roshi convulsing at the lobotomy had me dead 😭
