The Acolyte did a weird retcon on this. The characters claim that if you do not train as a very young child, you will lose your connection to the Force forever. Unless you become a Sith. This is a major plot point. Except wait a minute, Luke was probably 18 when he started training. Maybe it was lies, but if so the Jedi lied and not just the Sith, at least in the story.
Actually, come to think of it, Mae had trained practically from birth with the witches, and then later under her Sith master. So this aspect makes even less sense. As does Osha losing her connection to the Force and not doing anything with it after being expelled. That did not happen to Ahsoka.

Kota's lack of training is visible. He's more of a General and Leader than duelist, that's why in lore, it was the only Jedi in his streak that he had advantage over.
No way Mace Windu's going to say Anakin's to old to join the jedi order when he brings back a 18 year old

@@monkeboy7744Are you serious? Hate leads to the dark side and it's because of this attitude he treated not only Anakin, but Ahsoka and Boba Fett as well with disdain. Anakin was supposed to lead the Jedi Order to a new direction, an act that was completed by his son, Luke. It was Mace's arrogance, hatred and his inability to change that was one of the many reasons the Order fell. Mace Windu is an ass, and you expect me to believe he was correct in hating Anakin? I fail to see the logic in that.

@@jeffwolcott7815 i just want Old canon to keep going as it's own timeline, too bad Disney won't even pay royalties to former EU authors, let alone to invest in Old Canon. The only few that were hired are James Luceno (who's only novel already was retconned by The bad batch) and notorious Timothy Zahn (and the shows do contradict his novels as well).

Kota is really cool, and one of my favorite Jedi. Instead of taking an army that was built and ready for war, he instead built his own from scratch and it ended up being one of the best fighting forces of the Republic, and it allowed him to survive Order 66 thanks to thek being volunteers and not clones.
I highly doubt Mace hated clone troopers, but it probably bothered him seeing the face of the guy he killed all the time. Then again, he might not have ever seen Jango's face in person before

Yeah, the footage around 9:12 proves that. Not to mention there's also Boba.
Windu is depicted as saving or helping clones more than the other jedi.
He's a very effective general and every time we saw him in the Clone Wars it was clear he cared about his troops.
He saves Stak and Razor before himself, helped the knocked out ATTE pilot, helps the clone blown up by boba, and so on. We rarely see his unit getting casualties
Imagine krell vs general grievous.

If I’m remembering right Kota never hated the clones he just didn’t place his trust them and it served him right I think it was explained in Force unleashed but I got to play it again to make sure.
Yeah, Proxy made it sound more like Kota wasnt convinced of the clones ability (and maybe some hesitstion about how convient the whole thing was).

Pong Krell really hated Rex and the rest of the 501st legion of clone troopers and all clones in the grand army of the republic, Krell said that they were all his pawns, he thought of them as puppets, he even ordered 212th and the 501st to fight against one another for his amusement and that was horrible of him to do that to the clones and especially to Rex too.
He hated all Clones because of the Vision he had of their betrayal.
It’s always a mystery when in the clone wars when someone knows about the order 66 before anyone else does, they are always ended up killed and dead, obviously for the story to make sense of course.
@@adrialwrecker I think for the most part, even if someone did come out with that order, the republic would write it off as a lie. Palpatine was so powerful he hid his power from nearly everyone. Obi Wan didn't listen to Dooku when he told him what was going to happen. Palpatine was actually pretty smart with him deflecting or causing the war to escalate to distract the jedi's focus. I could be wrong that but that's how I remember it.
Interesting fact about Rahm Kota: He's canon thanks to the Kenobi show, as his name is found on the wall of the Hidden Path's safehouse on Mapuzo

Which also hopefully means Star Killer is canon as well. They could just tone down his powers a bit or make him more weak in saber skill to balance him out. Sadly i don't trust Disney anymore. To me they ruined the series. They break and change lore, write characters to be so stupid to be actual people or effective leaders, they try to make sith more anti hero rather than evil. I think the only media I liked from them is the first 2 seasons of Mandalorian, and Rogue One. I watched some of Asoka and didn't like it much. Probably because I don't know much of her character. I find her lightsabers cool though. I haven't watched Kenobi but possibly will try to. I won't bother with Acolyte. From all the reviews, discussions, break downs and seeing the interviews with the cast and former Weinstein's Human Supplier, I can't in my right mind even give that a chance. It seems like the director of star wars hates star wars.

@@GnosisZX Game wise his power is amazing. But movie wise, he'd be way to OP to be an effective character. His levels in the force surpassed vader. He may not have been able to beat palpatine which would make sense. I just don't think he'd be a balanced movie character. You'd have to have a group of powerful force users fight him at once to balance it.

Kota didn’t hate the clones. He didn’t trust them to hold up in battle. There’s even a Battlefront plot where he mentors a clone of his former padawan X2.

Honestly the Shatterpoint story with Mace's regrets in not killing Dooku on the spot helps further flesh out his "unjedi" like behavior when dealing with Palpatine.
Rahm Kota taken in at 18 well before Anakin was even born and TRAINED BY YODA HIMSELF but "Anakin was too old" at 10 lmaoooo no wonder they nuked everything about his character besides his name from canon

Kota is technically canon, but there's nothing about him in canon other than his name. His name was seen in Kenobi show.

Kota did ended up as underwhelming duelist. He was more of a general than Jedi, though he also was a fine mentor, mentoring Galen Marek, Star killer Clone, and Clone of his own Padawan Falcon Grey - X2.
Thing with Anakin that he had attachment to the mother, if he's the Chosen One, the risk has to be recognized, and if he's not, congratulations, you've just taken the boy from his only family member. It was a gambling

I'm not sure, but I think that issue of Star Wars Republic was published a long time before the inhibitor chip trick, so we still had the clones secretly aware of what was to come. In short, Vos had every reason to see the clones as puppets and nothing more.
Pong Krell as part of the empire would’ve been a menace.
I think the whole age for training thing was as you age you tend to gain attachments. Which is Anakin is referred to as being "Too old" while older people with less attachments may still be accepted
If Rahm Kota was accepted into jedi order at the age of 18, then why jedi coulncil innitially denied Anakin Skywalker who was half that age?

Before you hop on the hate anakin wagon or anything hate related remember the only villain in this series at this point is palpatine or Darth Sidious as he’s called he’s the one who manipulated anakin started the clone wars and ultimately killed the Jedi order anyone who says otherwise doesn’t know Star Wars or missed the point and plot of the movies and series

This is gonna be a long one , this Pong Krell hatred needs to stop , ppl gotta take they heart out of it (I personally don't really care for clones , I like Alpha 17 I like ARC Trooper Commander Colt , blitz , Captain keeli , Sith Enhanced clone no.14,Jek14 but ppl have to admit he's an interesting Jedi and they hide their interest in wanting to c clones win again, George Lucas said that the fact he had visions as well as being master made him one of strongest masters at time like Yoda MaCe Windu,Plo Koon,Quinlan Vos,Cin Dralig as he was 2nd battlemaster under cin dralig was a sentinel that's why he used blue&green blades as well as hinged double Bladed saberstaff as the temple guards, he rarely was a guard because he stood out w twin saberstaff and 9foot all 400+lbs 4arms ,Plus naturally ambidextrous, he was only jedi to master both jarkai variants of Form4ataru & Form6niman w twin saberstaff, so he was alot more to him , he is cool , I wish he had been taken by dooku as replacement for venteess&savage and painted his armor dark Grey w red separatist symbol on shoulder w sith suns on his gauntlets w black and brown robes w same hinged double bladed saberstaff but one w twin unique balanced purple blades & twin crimson blades
