Thank you very much!❤️ Hope it blossoms well and I get a true Gibson like you some day! Hope your surgery recovery went well. Looking forward to seeing more acoustic videos on your channel!
Hey brother man, a very well done review! You certainly did nail a beautiful guitar. I’m surprised at the amount of detail that went into this. Well done, brother man. Love what you’re doing here, so joining the family 👍🏻
Hi Randy, thank you SO MUCH for your kind words, I really appreciate the support! I'm a bit of a guitar geek and more reviews will come for sure. :D I really love your in-depth honest reviews, watched a few of them.
Thanks a lot for checking it out, Paul! In this recording I've already removed the tone-killing undersaddle element and installed bone bridge pins, so no wonder it sounds better.😀 I've already replaced heavy Grovers with lightweight and much more classy open-gear Gotohs, and the guitar opened up even more. On the other hand, yours already has extremely lightweight tuning machines, so my axe indeed might be a bit better, yay! I already have 2 Sigmas, this solid-top, and one all-solid. I'm not sure what's up with them exactly, but they're plain better tone-wise than solid-top and all-solid Epiphones of the same shapes. Epiphones sound "simple" and even a bit "harsh", but Sigmas sound richer and not as metallic. I feel like that's wood quality. Still, you can't beat Epiphone price. Sigmas of the similar specs cost twice/thrice as much.
Thank you for tuning in and for your kind words, Frank! The best sounding pickup I came across so far is Fishman Rare Earth Mic Blend. And the worst is LR Baggs M1. It goes into feedback loop extremely easy and senses ALL you do with guitar, even you touching your headstock, it's a nightmare.
Thank you! :) Gibson would be all-solid, lighter, with ebony fretboard+bridge instead of micarta, nitrocellulose finish, and would cost at least 5 times the Sigma's price.
Hi! I don't want to type several paragraphs, so speaking short: absolutely impossible to tell. I think this will depend on each particular instrument. Laminated back and sides barely affect the sound because inner layer of wood or glue/dust is the same in both models. Maple and rosewood veneers are very thin and soaked in cheap glue, so they don't matter. 300 has purfling on top. Some say it makes top vibrate more because it's thinner at its edges. At the same time, abalone is NOT a tonewood, so I'd say it detracts from the sound. Either way, this 5% of tonal advantage/disadvantage will be negated by choice of better/worse guitar top. And it's random, any of these models can have better or worse tops at different times. So just go with guitar you like visually more.
Congratulations! It’s a beauty! Good luck with it!
Thank you very much!❤️

You leveled up so much since I saw your first time playing a guitar! Good job, buddy!
Thanks!

Great review. That's a beautiful guitar, and I think it sounds great. Maybe better than my Sigma SG-200 maple.
Thanks a lot for checking it out, Paul!

What an awesome guitar! I don't know the difference between Gibson and Sigma :)
Thank you! :)

Very nice
YOU are very nice!
Hi. Can I ask which sounds louder, this Sigma GJR-SG300 or Sigma GJA-SG200+? And which sounds better? Thank you.
