You know what I would like to see? A boss with absurd amounts of HP that REQUIRES nukes to defeat. Doesnt do a lot of damage, but still a lot to keep you on your toes and healing a lot. You would need to mitigate the boss damage while setting up your attacks turn by turn :] just a cool little idea I had. also, is there anything wrong with this idea? if so, lemme kno
In a way, what you've described is Breath Of Fire 5's "regent" bosses. They have a personal defence skill called "absolute defence" that you have to overpower with enough damage to even be able to touch their health. Some of the fights can get very tense. It's not really like a "one turn nuke" thing though, so much as building up enough AP(Action Points) before you go on the offensive that you can make the most out of your turn. But you still need to manage resources, aggro, health, and even make sure you have enough AP left over to even do the thing you're trying to do.
I remember finding out about the omori nuke and I couldn't believe the damage it did. Hero healed 3000 hp for himself but lost instantly the next turn since I completely obliterated him with 7000 damage. the best thing is the just make the enemies angry, make omori manic, make Basil use cheer to even FURTHER increase his speed and BAM

Make sure that Omori has some good attack power too (and a high hit rate: very important to ensure it hits) before the fight. Finally, hit with Vertigo and the Tulip Power with Basil.
@@exotic.chilling You’re right that Omori’s attack stat doesn’t affect Vertigo’s strength, but I think @The Potion Master mentioned having a high attack stat because Basil’s Tulip skill is based off of Omori’s stats
