I managed to develop a strat to do this fight snackless, toyless, and toastless consistently at level 36. Omori have cough mask and basil has flower crown. Turn 1 you vertigo and cheer. Turn 2 you sad poem and herbal remedy basil. Aubrey will always mood wrecker on omori right after basil heals, so basil will be on full health and omori uses his not succumb. Turn 3 you cripple and herbal remedy omori, which for some reason heals more because basil is sad and omori is happy and the heal is considered a moving attack. Turn 4 you painful truth kel and cheer with basil. You both act before kel and he won’t ko either of you. Turn 5 you should have a release energy, and then you mull if hero makes you happy or kel curveball’s you and cheer if Aubrey uses power hit while omori uses vertigo for the rest of the fight.
Could you give moves for me to use instead of vertigo and cripple? I was too dumb to know there was stuff like red knife and the three attacks so I took the castle and can’t get those now, Anything else to use?
I played the boss rush today and beat it on my first try, then the party said I should do it with basil, and I was like "ohhh so EX-mode kind of thing?". I equiped basil with his flower crown, and went into the boss rush. Learnt what basil's powers were throughout the boss rush. It was hard, but I managed to do it on the first try and beat Humphrey with the ultimate attack. *Then the friends appear* I target hero because he's the healer, but received a lot of damage on basil bc of Aubrey and Kel. I heal with basil and reduce everyone's speed. *Kel and friends set up the nuke* "Oh $#!√" *Basil gets nuked, and omori brought down to 1 health* *Lose*
@@JustSnoopee that's how I felt everytime I get full power then they hit Basil. My friends always no cause they'll just hear me scream "BASIL NO--.... I love you, Basil, I'm sorry" like I just lost him to some accident. Or I curse and probably curse whoever hit him. Hitting the one marker is a threat on Omori but knocking Basil out at 10 Energy is personal 😭✋ Major salute to the fact you dedicated yourself to getting through something so painful like awful RNG 🛐

Np I have been attempting Basil boss rush Itemless and Toastless for awhile now and managed to beat Humphrey at full juice and heart. But I don’t think I’ll ever get this RNG to happen in the same run

I have an idea for what might happen in the next season of Splatoon deku: the team might venture into the deep sea metro station in the middle or end of the season encountering the sanitized octolings, and try to figure out what or who is sanitizing the octolings, and put a stop to them/it.
I like how people used to use my version of what I thought the battle would look like as their thumbnails, even months after the new contents' release. I die a little inside every time I see them because I have to bear the guilt from the fact that I purposefully made Kel just a little too short
This fight was actually very consistent for me in my itemless run: You can easily tank the nuke by being depressed and crippling (the nuke will deal around 160 damage). In this case it's better if Kel targets Omori since his juice is much easier to refill. From my testing depressed alone is far better than sad + cheer because of how emotion advantage works (you could perhaps use both if you sad poem Basil and mull on the same turn) After that I just used sad team, kept debuffs up and vertigo nuked until they went down (convenient as vertigo is unaffected by Hero's attack reduction). The only threatening moves are mood wrecker and power hit. Other moves that change emotions can be dangerous, but with enough energy and speed they aren't too much of an issue despite all this, don't try a full basil rush itemless toastless run for the sake of your own sanity (slime girls alone ended like 20 runs)
After countless runs of Basil rush deathless and itemless I can account at least 15 for slime girls and more than 9 for Humphrey since he wouldn’t stop targeting Basil XD
@@JustSnoopee A trick I learned for Humphrey's first phase is to make him sad. His emotion affects his AI; as it turns out, when he is sad he will only attack once or twice in his turn, never three times. He will automatically advance to phase 2 after about 5 turns, so you can use this time to prepare buffs and release energy when you get the chance. The second phase is the simplest, just use a sad team, buff your defense and debuff his attack. He only has a single target basic attack in this phase which can easily be reduced to 0. Phase 3 is a little trickier but not too bad. Rose is important for its priority aoe healing, use it whenever you get low. Otherwise, keep debuffing and release energy whenever you can. It's a good idea to finish the fight with a RE so that you can enter Friends with full heart and juice, so you could slow down on vertigo nukes near the end.

One of Omori’s moves lowers attack by 3 stages and if you can get Basil to cheer during a time where both Omori and Basil are sad then both of them get plus 3 defense
I beat this by somehow manipulating the AI into targeting omori with nuke, basil used cheer, (they all were angry), made omori sad, used cheer, , coffe made omori manic used cheer. Made kel mad, then spammed vertigo (the move that gets stronger based on speed, l managed to 4 shot him, Aubrey KO basil, I revived, I stalled the rest of the battle by Aubrey, with defence cheer furious omori spamming red hands, after I beat auby I just made hero sad, and took my time beating him, it was 73 turns, (if I counted right)
tutorial on how to avoid the dreaded Kel nuke turn 1 OMORI:rain cloud BASIL:cheer turn 2 OMORI:criple BASIL:rain cloud(because hero will probably take away your sadness) turn 3: OMORI:Criple BASIL: heal the ally who has less health (to prevent the Kel nuke from hitting someone with low health) and the end if OMORI attacks before BASIL you survived the kel nuke without anyone dying

Twirl does in fact apply HAPPY *after* damage is dealt and ONLY if the hit lands
Still, that entire turn was a traumatic experience on its own

If you lose to them in the Basil rush you can challenge them immediately by going back to Boss and talking to him
