I don't understand the people who say Snake Man is easiest. I've tried everything and I can't beat him with just the arm cannon. I get him down to halfway before he kills me. He's almost impossible to dodge and has no pattern.
+BlazeHeatnix - Definitive Dubs its hard to avoid the first collision with him, but you can see a solid strat for that in this video. the rest is very easy: you stand on the middle and shoot, then jump to the side when he is getting close, and go back to the middle after he went the other side, repeat until he is dead.

You can defeat the small snake heads with the Magnet Missile in one shot. It especially makes it easier in the second screen after climbing up the stairs, where there's three of them. I personally use the hard knuckles to defeat the big snake heads, although it's fine with the basic weapon too. Also, one hard knuckle kills the green guys that shoot the chained ball thingie.

Does anyone remember the glitch in MM3?, where if you use the 2 player controller to make him fall an loose ball his health, but make him invinsible?? Lol
And this is the point where we start to hate how Mega Man 3 has two weakness circles...I always used to do Gemini Man first of the last three; I found Snake Man more difficult than him, but once I actually got a real NES and a real cartridge, I came up with a better way to fight him that made him much easier.

@teeman9266 All right, maybe I was being a little overdramatic. I've only played Mega Man 1, 2, and 3, and out of those games, 3 is the worst one. There may be other bad Mega Man games that I haven't played.
Snakeman is my absolute favorite, though I don't know why. It's not like I can beat it (I am determined to play all the games in order, and I'm still on Bubbleman's level in Megaman 2 with a broken paddle. Try getting past those falling red things with no jump button xP)

I actually found out that the top spin can take away a kind of good chunk of snake mans health but I think using the buster is a better choice
