Managed to get the cat excavator loaded up onto a trailer and moved back to the ranch.

Absolutely brilliant to see, what a powerful machine that Foden is.
Way better than its replacement
Tractor: I can't, I just can't mate...
Foden: Hold my tea, mate...
Foden did it while holding it's own tea 😅
The more I see that Foden working, the more impressed I get. Local recovery company here recently bought one, bloody amazing piece of kit.
So far the Foden seems to be the best investment you’ve made. Nice to see Matt still exists. Things seemed to go smoother once manager Ted showed up.
JCB Fastrack... totally owned by Monster Foden...
The Foden just sat there shaking it’s head at the JCBs efforts
🤣🤣
jesus. the foden did not care that the digger was behind it. what a unit.
If done correctly them wreckers will pull out a tank that's stuck in mud. Awesome bits of kit
The Foden certainly does what it says on the tin! Awesome bit of kit! And the British Army binned them and instead got something far less capable. Typical!
@@samrodian919 but armored. That's why they got rid ofthem
@@MCMLXXXIV1984the Faden was replace due to the Man contract, that bent if it had to achieve its specified turning circle. Every Man RV truck was ritually humiliated by loosing a tug-o-war with the Foden before it’s retirement
Great video guys good to see fitter Matt
Seems like every farmer needs a Foden🎉
Those Fodens are probably one of the most practical vehicles I've ever seen - I've yet to see anything you've uploaded that they can't handle. Absolute beasts.
😮
These guys should have been on Scrapheap Challenge back in the day
That’s a cracking restoration on the Fasttrac after the fire 🔥!
Just needed a few bodypanels and a bit of paint
With all the crap I watch on UA-cam I’m the happiest when you boys release a video. Just good lads being lads. Brilliant. Keep the videos coming you cheer many people up. 😊
That joke at 4:17 that everyone missed is hilarious 🤣
Bodgey brothers recovery!. Love it!. 🤣 Always a laugh, but get the job done!. Nuff said.🤣
You comment reminds me of the name I would call my boat repair yard, "Bodgeit and Scarper" !
That would look great sign written on the Foden doors 😂
Puts sunnies on, to protect eyes from grinder sparks; sets fire to bollocks. Neat.
Highly enjoyable video.. as a farmers son myself, it’s easy to see the expert eye for precision..
We're definitely a different breed 😂
As a close friend of a farmer, I can appreciate the top level farmering I'm witnessing in this video.
Seen enough diesel brothers to know removing the planetary gears is the easier way,BUT you guys are very entertaining 😂😂 keep up the great work you lot & that FODEN is a Monster!!
Well Done! I love moving old junk, and DANG that Foden is INCREDIBLY versatile and I wish I had one!
I just love that Foden. It really does not give a damn what's behind it, it just goes ❤
If the Foden can't move it, nothing will. What a machine!
The Foden never fails to impress me, really it has become my favourite vehicle among other favorite vehicles 😅😅😅
A bit of work has to be done on this vehicle but it will be a very useful addition to your park👍👍👍
So, what I’ve gathered from these videos is that the best way to find a vehicle that’s easily repairable is to ask Joe for his assessment. If he gives it the thumbs up, it’s likely beyond repair. Perhaps the most enjoyable channel on UA-cam these days.
Hi Joe,
When this Caterpillar crawler crane will start and runs properly she’s absolutely worth restoring the machine because they were very reliable machines and always can be very useful in your property also for lifting out engines out of your collection of army vehicles. I look forward to your next vlog and send you love from the Netherlands
Nothing weird on those. And it rolls, and I bet the chrome rods are good enough, because they were chromed properly. I bet it will pop some hoses though due to ageing.
Crazy what a good operator can do with one of those machines, extremely versatile with a bit of imagination which this bunch does not lack. I'd love to have a pint or two getting the hands dirty with them.
The No5 bent, but the plastic cable ties held, mind blown....
Nice little save chaps. Great to see the northern monkey Matt again, and I love the hitching system on that fast track very Gucci. It will be great if you get that old wreck up and running.
That foden sounds so good! Great videos as ever! Keep em coming. My no 1 channel.
Foden is just an absolute weapon. Would love to see a full walkround of the mighty beast
Arguably one of the best machines of its time, the Cat 215, (only an Akerman could give it a run for its money.) Drove a 215 about 30 years back, would have another tomorrow. If you cant rebuild it, replace it with another 3304, those engines just sing when they're working flat out.
Fitter Matt is something like a blister... shows up when the hard works done lol.... I still love that foden
The Foden really came into it's own - what a machine!
Even though he showed up late, it was good to see Matt again.
Another great video.
I love your content.
Would love one or two videos on the Foden itself. How it works, what it can do etc. Maybe some upgrades or modifications you plan or want?
This thing is a beast and I always enjoy it when you can hear the distinct engine sound in your video.
The JCB was like bringing a stone to a gun fight (trying to pull the digger) The Foden on the other hand is like bringing an 88mm Antiaircraft gun to a gun figth, that Foden is a beast
This channel reminds me of my Dad. he was a 26 yr old sgt major in the REME in 1940 in the Battle of France. He was a 'get it to work by any means' guy and would have loved seeing this!
That JCB identifies as a RAV 4.
That Foden had some power 👍Nice Fastrack too👍Will love to see that old Cat machine working 👌
The Foden has to be one of the best bits of kit you have in your garage. It’s certainly my favourite, just an awesome machine. When’s the Foden merch coming out 😅
And they have TWO of 'em lol
After all MY years with military vehicles I never knew that I would love that Foden so much.
You know its heavy when the Foden needs more than idle to move it. What a machine. Great watching you guys.
The Foden is impressive, nearly as useful as baling twine :)
infinitely ingenious. Truly a MacGuyer of our times. The Foden is king.
Those Foden's are absolute BEASTS and you just know its gonna be a great episode when one of them is deployed, can't wait too see the CAT 360 come back to life and I can't believe that kids haven't wrecked it more than they did over many years its sat there when you first showed it.
Seen some sketchy things in my time, but that was fantastic 😂 excellent use of British equipment to rescue the American 😑 10/10 thanks for your service sir 🧐😂
Don't think your moving the digger with a shovel mate......hahahaha go on mad lads 👍🇬🇧😎
Much against my better judgement we need to see more of Brian Blessed! Viva Fitter Matt!
Great job getting it done with what's available.
As usual a good video guys 😎😎👍👍,Mr health and safety don't get complacent with welding use the right gear .
Difficult evacuation. But, you did it. Well done!
This Foden Recovery Truck is awesome.....😁👌
I swear that the Foden could pull a house down, with little or no trouble, love it.
"I am Foden of Borg: Resistance is Futile"
Great work , did a proper lash up on that 👌, will be nice to see the CAT running and earning again 👍💨💨
*Far out... everyone should have a Foden!*
The Foden is the Ron Jeremy of the truck world !!! Lol
That foden is so impressive, didn't even know that it was towing it
love watching the foden at work, its a monster!!!!!
Tusen takk for god underholdning 👍🤗👍
blocking rotation also helps . but in al. aspects a great recouvery
Soooo,
the next projects
Together with MasterMilo: get your excavators up and running,
Get the T34 (Hewes Hull, MM engine) up and running,
and yeah, do some crazy things whatsoever ;-)
That Foden showed that Fast track up. What a beast .
amazing how old stuff gets new life!
Excellent work , the Fastrac just doesn't have enough weight to move the Excavator , the Foden has what it takes
The tractor would have done it, but required lots of cable, skookums, and time. Take care.
indeed very enjoyable wish we could have more :D
Good to see ‘Fitter Matt’ back!
Please guys, safety gloves always 🙏
Foden: 'Bro do you even low range?'
“I identify as a Foden” lmao 😂
It would probably have been a lot easier to move this excavator by connecting an external hydraulic pump and engine to the hydraulic system of the excavator by an umbilical hose, bypassing its own seized up engine. This would have enabled the boom to be raised, the machine to be slewed straight, and then the machine to be driven onto the trailer. (Assuming that only its engine is bad, and its cylinders, track and slew motors, and hoses are otherwise in working condition.)
I have full faith y'all will have it at least 69% functional
Looking forward to getting it going 🎉
Crane truck is a beast, glad i found this channel.
Yeah, that Foden. What a bit of kit.
Next time you weld without a mask drink half a litre of vodka immediately afterwards. Doesn't help the burn but it makes you feel much better
When in doubt, Foden up!
JCB = Junk Constantly Breaking 😂
Now the TLC(Fun) begins! She sure needs it!
Nice to see fitter mat lending a hand, you can rest. this to its former glory
Love me a good Mr. Hewes video in the morning!!!! What a babe pulling that
Kitty behind it like it's nothing!!!!
Can't wait to see the next video on this. Enjoy your comedy.
As usual a mint vid , saw Adam at honiton hill rally last week . What a nice chap 👍
Is that Uni student Mat ?
That'd be a handy little machine if you can get it running again.
I think that bloody Foden will outlive us all…..what a weapon😉
What a piece of luck, that trailer and digger being just under 18.29t 🤣
🤣🤣🤣
when you borrow a friend's trailer, look after it, you damage the trailer and you don't care.
Surprised ya didn't just use bungees.... :D
I owned a cat 215 prior to selling my quarry. It was a great size machine to own. If I remember right the unit was made in Belgium. It had a Perkins diesel for power.
Only ever a Cat 3304 in the 215 as far as I am aware, it was the smaller 'Cat' machines which had the Perkins offering.
The Foden impresses me more each time. But I do like that hitch on the JCB tractor, it was muscle power and farm jacks if needed back on the farm in my day.
I take it the UK doesn't have farm exemptions for roading farm equipment that you had to stay on "private" access lanes?
You look like how I feel this morning...
BLOODY GOOD BIT OF ANYTHING WILL DO LETS GET THE JOB DONE WELLDONE 😅. 😊
That’s a nice old excavator and lorry .
Excavator extraction excitement.
Ok i guess it's up to me to post the obligatory "I picked apart a digger in 1945, and that is not how you do it" 😁
I arent sure, but wouldnt it be easier to take the planetary gears out instead of the motor?
All the safety! But I wouldn't say Matt was any fitter than the rest of you.....
The Foden is the daddy !
A free cat over there must be lovely.
Need to do a video 101 uses for a cable tie 😂
You know that went a lot better than I thought 🧐🤔 it was going to go. LMAO 😂🤣
I was just as shocked 🤣
@@MrHewes 🤣😂🤣😂
Foden looking on at the Fastrac like a young kid with all the gear but no idea then Foden like ryt lad let me show you how its done 😆
