A friend was covering San Remo (the contest that is used by Italy to pick their Eurovision winner) and he said - i think you will like the band - and I fell in love the moment I saw them and researched them, watched all their x factor shows. It's not something Italy would usually pick and they weren't favourites to win the contest (in fact the backing dancers of the fav got covid) but by the time the got to the final (competing against one of the x factor judges) they just shone. The eurovision press was luke warm for a bit but they gained momentum particularly when they arrived and then they stepped on the stage and if you watch the final it just looks like a Maneskin concert. I saw them in that context and knew they'd win - not because I'm clever or a good judge or anything else other than reading their lyrics and seeing what they were wearing, seeing it reflecting what my gen z kids in Australia were wearing and saying. They are an early Gen Z voice - Damiano is getting better and better with his English lyrics - they are very clever BUT his Italian lyrics are poetry. I'm so excited to be seeing them in Brisbane next month.

Seen these guys twice live and I’m 64. Just was at the Nashville show, so much energy. Also saw them last December in Florida. Incredible energy, and almost all their songs are better live, which is saying a lot. So many great songs! Also some cool covers, in Nashville they covered the rap Megahit ‘Humble’ and Dolly Parton’s Jolene! Talk a bout a contrast!
I love seeing these comments and especialy with those who seen these bands live. To me, your not much fo a band if you can not perform live so this is wonderful to hear. But, everyone who saw their performance at the ESC finale, knows how good they are live!
I would recommend you listen to Coraline. Due to to the fact that the song is very personal to Damiano, their's no music video. But several videos with the english translation. Torna casa and Vent'anni😊u
Saw them at Meriweather Post Pavilion (B/ween Baltimore and DC) last year! They were incredible. And we are late 50s, it was great to see so many other fans our age!

Saw them in Dallas last Friday, and they were amazing! and they are ON 100% of the time. And they are soooo young too, and already so good, that I had a moment during Thomas's (the guitarists) solo where I thought this must have been what it was like to see one of the legendary guitarist (clapton, stevie ray, etc) when they were in their early 20s, where you know they are just going to get better and better. Goes for the whole band. In an interview with one of the award shows early this year, Red Hot Chili Peppers were asked who they most wanted to meet, and Flea was like "Victoria from Maneskin". You know you've made it in rock when a bassist of Flea's caliber wants to meet you. And yes, Damiano's voice is incredible.

Baz Luhrman, the movie producer saw them and asked them to make a cover of an Elvis song for his movie and they selected If I can dream"! My fav. cover of them is Back to black by Amy Winehouse, its a roof sesseion when they were 14 t0 17 years old and you can hear Damianos great special voice sooo good there!!!
I really like this, they have great retro 1990s - early 2000s sound, they remind me of a Scottish indie band called Franz Ferdinand. I also hear a little White Stripes?! Maybe?! Welcome to the Maneskin rabbit hole - you'll be hard pressed to find any bad song or even bad performance from them - as good as their studio recordings are they are even better live. For their Italian songs look for fan made videos with English subtitles - the Lafabi and Valeria channels are the best for these.
Franz Ferdinand and White Stripes are two of their reference bands. Keep in mind that they are very young, they are now between 22 and 24, when they started they were 14 (Thomas not yet) /16.
I'm a fan of both Franz Ferdinand and Maneskin and feel like Alex Kapranos would be very flattered by the comparison. 🤣 But joking apart, I remember seeing Alex on Twitter being delighted to discover that Maneskin had done a live cover of "Take Me Out" when they were on tour in small UK venues before they became well known internationally. So yeah, definitely one of their influences. Just one of many, of course. But Damiano's voice is pure class, a cut above most even very good rock vocalists.

Måneskin was runner up on X Factor Italy. They first won the San Remo Song Festival Feb 2021 and the winner of that contest represents Italy in Eurovision. Since I've been a long time repeat traveler to Italy that's how I knew about The San Remo Festivale di Canzoni. Song Festival. I immediately loved Zitti e Buoni and started following them with their UA-cam videos and performances. Then "Beggin" came out on American radio stations late 2021. I was hooked and decided I had to see them in concert. I bought a ticket to see them perform in Rome, July 2022 at Circus Maximus. I was already going to be on vacation in Italy so I made it even more special by seeing then Amazing. Sold out and that ancient venue can handle 70,000 people. After coming back home to the U.S. I HAD to see them again. They started a U.S tour late Fall of '22 (The Loud Kids Tour) and I flew up to see them in D.C., December 2022...they came out wth the album RUSH ("Gossip" is on it) ..now they're finishing up the U.S. portion of their "Rush" World Tour. I know a woman who is seeing their concert in L.A. tonight and it's her 13th concert! I feel almost embarrassed at only having seen them twice. I am among the older women that love the band and we're called "Måneskin Mammas". They attract all ages and truly appreciate their fans. I just came across your video and had to look and saw it was recently posted as I would have thought most everyone by now had heard of them and are familiar with their music. They're all terrifically talented and they deserve every award and accolade possible. I hope to see them in Ireland or UK in a couple of months, if I can swing it. Ok, now I'm going to watch your video to see your reaction. I also like Cadz Crew who does reaction videos. He's a huge Måneskin fan. Please, don't say the band name with the stress on the "e". It sounds similar to a word that in Italian means "quick to violence". They hate it too. The stress is on the "a", MAneskin.
I saw it, was hard to find here in the U.S. but I found it and it was fantastic!! This band was built for live shows.

Would definitely recommend checking out their live performances first, they’re an incredibly consistent live band. Would recommend anything from their Radio Italia performance before Eurovision, but particularly La Paura del Buio, Glastonbury set this year if you can find it, Lollapalooza last year, Coraline at Sanremo with full orchestra (that’s on Vimeo, ahem), Wiwibloggs set before Eurovision. Could keep going 😅
I agree it is an amazing song, but it requires at least 2 times through, the second time with a good translation to understand the emotion and the poetry for us English speakers.

If you are an Elvis fan they did a cover of Elvis "If I can dream" for the Baz Luhrman biopic that came out last June it plays along the ending credis but there's also a mv filmed at Graceland and Sun Studio in Memphis where they recorded it in one take...

Eurovision 2021: bringing Italy back after few years, but what was best was they sang rock in Italian! And you’re hooked from 1st second. Croatian, neighboring Italy and understanding much, the most beautiful language in the world, the most musical. Best part is the opening, and that middle bas part, with “Parla”, meaning to my knowledge “Talk”.

The letter å in Danish is pronounced like a long o, like in the name Joe, so the pronunciation should be approximately mōna skin, like Mona Lisa skin but without the Lisa part.
You're getting a lot of comments that say Måneskin is pronounced Mohnyskin, but that's not quite right either. I think a lot of Italians just say Mah-nyskin, but that's just because they can't pronounce the Danish å. Just google how to pronounce å in Danish and slot it in there. It's more like you might say "er" if you were hesitating about something.
Yeah I'm getting tossed all over the place. But, I have watched interviews and introductions so I think I got it. At least, as good as an American can 😂 🤘🏻
The singles are ok but the whole thing is on the albums! Make sure u check out some songs from the albums too and i guarantee you'll find sone gems! My favorite in 2021 was Iceland with "10 Years". Was really shocked a rock band won. Maneskin grew on me, started hearing them a lot on ALT Nation with "I wanna be your slave" and "Beggin'" so I became a fan shortly after. BTW, Victoria is Danish.

I really like this, they have great retro 1990s - early 2000s sound, they remind me of a Scottish indie band called Franz Ferdinand. I also hear a little White Stripes?! Maybe?! They sound like they have a few influences. The singer is brilliant, like his voice a lot. Oh Dane, you've introduced me to yet another band i need to look into.

Welcome to the Maneskin rabbit hole - you'll be hard pressed to find any bad song or even bad performance from them - as good as their studio recordings are they are even better live. For their Italian songs look for fan made videos with English subtitles - the Lafabi and Valeria channels are the best for these.
Franz Ferdinand and White Stripes are two of their reference bands. Keep in mind that they are very young, they are now between 22 and 24, when they started they were 14 (Thomas not yet) /16.
I'm a fan of both Franz Ferdinand and Maneskin and feel like Alex Kapranos would be very flattered by the comparison. 🤣 But joking apart, I remember seeing Alex on Twitter being delighted to discover that Maneskin had done a live cover of "Take Me Out" when they were on tour in small UK venues before they became well known internationally. So yeah, definitely one of their influences. Just one of many, of course. But Damiano's voice is pure class, a cut above most even very good rock vocalists.

Måneskin was runner up on X Factor Italy. They first won the San Remo Song Festival Feb 2021 and the winner of that contest represents Italy in Eurovision. Since I've been a long time repeat traveler to Italy that's how I knew about The San Remo Festivale di Canzoni. Song Festival. I immediately loved Zitti e Buoni and started following them with their UA-cam videos and performances. Then "Beggin" came out on American radio stations late 2021. I was hooked and decided I had to see them in concert. I bought a ticket to see them perform in Rome, July 2022 at Circus Maximus. I was already going to be on vacation in Italy so I made it even more special by seeing then Amazing. Sold out and that ancient venue can handle 70,000 people. After coming back home to the U.S. I HAD to see them again. They started a U.S tour late Fall of '22 (The Loud Kids Tour) and I flew up to see them in D.C., December 2022...they came out wth the album RUSH ("Gossip" is on it) ..now they're finishing up the U.S. portion of their "Rush" World Tour. I know a woman who is seeing their concert in L.A. tonight and it's her 13th concert! I feel almost embarrassed at only having seen them twice. I am among the older women that love the band and we're called "Måneskin Mammas". They attract all ages and truly appreciate their fans. I just came across your video and had to look and saw it was recently posted as I would have thought most everyone by now had heard of them and are familiar with their music. They're all terrifically talented and they deserve every award and accolade possible. I hope to see them in Ireland or UK in a couple of months, if I can swing it. Ok, now I'm going to watch your video to see your reaction. I also like Cadz Crew who does reaction videos. He's a huge Måneskin fan. I hope you'll listen to other Italian language songs of theirs as sadly, they're writing and performing more in English these days as their fan base spans the globe. Ciao

I saw it, was hard to find here in the U.S. but I found it and it was fantastic!! This band was built for live shows.

Would definitely recommend checking out their live performances first, they’re an incredibly consistent live band. Would recommend anything from their Radio Italia performance before Eurovision, but particularly La Paura del Buio, Glastonbury set this year if you can find it, Lollapalooza last year, Coraline at Sanremo with full orchestra (that’s on Vimeo, ahem), Wiwibloggs set before Eurovision. Could keep going 😅

Croatian, neighboring Italy and understanding much, the most beautiful language in the world, the most musical. The letter å in Danish is pronounced like a long o, like in the name Joe, so the pronunciation should be approximately mōna skin, like Mona Lisa skin but without the Lisa part.

You're getting a lot of comments that say Måneskin is pronounced Mohnyskin, but that's not quite right either. I think a lot of Italians just say Mah-nyskin, but that's just because they can't pronounce the Danish å. Just google how to pronounce å in Danish and slot it in there. It's more like you might say "er" if you were hesitating about something.
Yeah I'm getting tossed all over the place. But, I have watched interviews and introductions so I think I got it. At least, as good as an American can 😂 🤘🏻

Amaya (Maya Keuc) represented Slovenia at ESC in 2011 and Bojan Cvjeticanin (lead singer) of Joker Out, who represented Slovenia in 2023. To think that neither is a native Italian speaker and yet from all the comments from Italians, they both absolutely nail the lyrics. There's something magical about it and I thoroughly recommend you check it out. You will not be disappointed!!!

My favorite in 2021 was Iceland with "10 Years". Was really shocked a rock band won. Maneskin grew on me, started hearing them a lot on ALT Nation with "I wanna be your slave" and "Beggin'" so I became a fan shortly after. BTW, Victoria is Danish.
