Just to let you know, the flashing lights during the blue section isn't the judges tables, it's the seats that the contestants sit in. Once they finish the preformance they go to these seats to watch the rest of the show, get interviewed and are there for when the results come out. The judges are based in each different country and judge the Friday preformace so that they have the results ready for the finale on Saturday. It's like that for the semi's too. Monday - 1st semi final for judges; Tuesday - 1st semi final for public. Wednesday - 2nd semi final for judges; Thursday - 2nd semi final for public. Friday - finale for judges; Saturday - finale for public.
Juries, not judges. They don't comment on the songs, each country has a jury of like 5 people who vote and that contributes half the score, the other half being the public vote.
let me tell you, I SCREAMED when they won, they are one of my favourite bands and I couldn’t believe it, one of my favourite Eurovision years because of them
This is arguably the first time since ABBA that a band got internationally huge off of Eurovision. Their cover of Beggin' was everywhere, they were on big US shows like Jimmy Fallon, opened for the Rolling Stones, etc. Their win here was also notable because rock is barely present in the Eurovision and never really does well (last rock song to win was in 2006). It was also uncharacteristic for Italy because they almost always send in ballads. Anyways, great and fun reaction as always. If you're up for Måneskin week at some point, they're well worth it.
Just went to their show last month here in Brazil. It was sold out. They are giants all across the world. As an Eurovision fan, I can say that I saw this miracle only with ABBA and Celine Dion
they were and are good regardless Eurovision, Eurovision just gave them visibility outside Italy, but they would have become famous worldwide anyway sooner or later
Julio Iglesias was in Eurovision at the start of his career(Den Haag, the Netherlands 1970, i think) & arguably if he hadn't done that, his son Enrique wouldn't have had the contacts in the music world to bring out his work either. Julio is the largest selling Hispanic artist over all those years Enrique has sold the most as a Lat-Am artist, at least at his peak(ping-pong song)
Just watched the edition again, and yes, the 2nd and 3rd place totally memorable songs, if maneskin wouldn't have participated they would also have been good winners. The voting sequence and how it went is Great!
Maneskin are SOOO good!! And their success has come from the fact that they were already not only immensely talented but also had a catalogue of music already established before they won, so this really was just their way to get global exposure. They weren't just one hit wonders who fizzle out and disappear. They're so good and have only gotten better!
You definitely gotta have a Maneskin Week. Their music is unbelievable! I'd suggest 1) Torna a casa 2) Moriro da Re 3) La Paura del Buio 4) Coraline 5) VENT'ANNI for starters
@NataliaNedelkou i fully agree! i'd add 'In Nome Del Padre' and 'Lividi Sui Gomiti'. i wouldn't dare to exchange any of the songs from your list, so it should be a weekly Top 7 in this case. 😅
They are actually getting big in USA now ☺️ They’ve won AMA and VMA. And were nominated to Grammy. It would be awesome if you did Maneskin week! 1. Gossip 2. I wanna be your slave 3. Beggin (live) 4. Torna a Casa 5. Coraline
Love Måneskin, after this performance they have gone viral in the US too, been on VMAs, Anitta, Jimmy Fallon and all over Europe, we love them here in Sweden. Damiano David is the hottest man alive
I’m an old school metal head, but one of my kids got em into Måneskin a while after this performance. We saw them live together a few months ago, and they have *amazing* energy as alive act. Fantastic show!
2021 was a good Eurovision year and the voting was insane and historic. I remember the second Damiano was shown and sung the first word I was like...yep this is it. Those are the winners. Which is funny because when I saw their MV the song didnt catch me right away as much as it did during this night. Their stage presence was INSANE that night and they deservedly won.
You never mentioned if you knew but Maneskin were runaway winners in 2021 and their feet haven't touched the ground since. They deserve it for being bold enough to become only the 2nd rock band to win Eurovision, after Lordi's win for Finland in 2006. You need to see that one. Btw I believe Zitti e Buoni means 'sit down and shut up'...
They were ahead of France by 25 points. That's not "runaway" - that's the lowest winning margin in years. In fact, since 2008 (the first time there were 2 semifinals), only 2016 has had a lower winning margin (23 point) - and that's considering that from 2008 to 2015, the jury and televote points were merged and each country only got one set of scores!
My winner that year, and I'm so glad they won. They are amazing, and I believe they won, because the song and performance is awesome, and they gave people something they were craving after a year of covid pandemic and a lot of isolation; the feeling of being at a real live concert(many concerts of 2020 had to be cancelled/postponed including Eurovision, so people were missing live music so much.) Måneskin is Danish for Moonlight, and Victoria the bassist is half danish, so they made her say a lot of danish words, and they picked one they really liked. I think the song is about being tired of people telling others how to be/how to behave, and they should just let them do, what they want/be themselves. If you would consider doing a Måneskin week, my top 5 of their other songs would be: 1. Torna A Casa 2. The loneliest 3. Their cover of "If I could Dream" from the Elvis movie soundtrack 4. I Wanna be your slave 5. Gossip.
Never been a better Eurovision than '21.. became a huge Måneskin fan since that day.. ( saw them 7 times live by now) but the level was extreme high that year. Made it my personal mission to see as many of the artist as possible.. I already visted concerts to see 8 out of 10 of the top 10 ( and 2 from outsite the top 10) and realy.. they all smashed it ! All in their own unique way!
We NEED a Måneskin week! Their music is unreal: 1. I Wanna Be Your Slave 2. Supermodel 3. Beggin 4. Coraline 5. Mamma Mia Also they were only 19-22 in this performance and even younger when they started off in Italian X Factor. Their music videos are amazing but their live performances are just unreal. One of those bands that are almost better live than recorded so highly recommend watching a live performance!
Yep, that Beggin' cover is from their X-factor time, just went viral years later after the Eurovision win. I'd tune the list a bit though since they're not all English pop rock, maybe replace some of that with their Italian songs like In Nome del Padre, Lividi Sui Gomiti, Coraline, Torna a Casa, or Mark Chapman for example. Really hard to pick just five songs out of their whole selection, but I feel like they should consist of both languages and different styles to give a good representation 🙂
@@durabelle i just picked the songs I thought were generally the most successful/popular from what I’ve seen with also my favs of their songs/with good music videos that show their personality and style. Agreed it’s not the most varied, clearly their most successful songs are upbeat english rock/pop! And Beggin isn’t even a fav of mine but because it’s their most successful I had to add it! I’ve swapped Don’t Wanna Sleep for Coraline for some ballad/Italian language representation
My favorite winner ever, such a pleasant surprise this group has been, I've been following them ever since. Biggest artist to come out of esc after ABBA. 2021 really is my favorite year in Eurovision ever, so many great songs and performances
I enjoy all your Eurovision videos because you’re never being disrespectful about it even if you don’t know much about the countries you’re always trying to analyse it as best as you can 😊
And most of Americans like to highlight ”the weirdo” side of Eurovision (like Koza Mostra 2013) which do exists but is only a small part of such a large high quality competition.
oh yeah Maneskin and Go-A were truly the iconic contestants of 2021 and now I'm happy that after winning Eurovision they got a lot of recognition if you ever react to Eurovision 2019 I hope you'll react to the Flag Parade too

You should definitely do a Måneskin week (pronounce it Mohneskin, with an o like in corny)! My suggestion showcases some songs from their different albums and development (but they have SO many good songs): 1) Torna a case 2) I Wanna Be Your Slave 3) Coraline 4) Mamma Mia 5) Gossip
Like other people have mentioned, the areas you guy thought were the judge's tables, are collectively referred as "The Green Room" and it's the artists' area. The layout changes but the general idea stays the same: Each of those tables has sofas around them for the artists to lounge and drink and have fun when they're not performing. In the intermissions the presenters talk to them, and sometimes there's a designated Green Room presenter/interviewer. The judges panels are actually in each country, when the votes are being delivered during the voting section, they connect live to each country to give out their votes. The countries that did not qualify get to vote in the grand final too. And after all that, the public vote is delivered in big chunks to keep up the tension til the last second, and it's the main stage presenters the ones that give 'em out.
Goodness, you have no idea how big fan favorites they were going into Eurovision. Basically, to the point where I decided to place a bet on them (I never gamble LOL) because I was so sure they were winning. And I got 200euros out of it. Thanks, Maneskin!!! Anyway, Maneskin are an incredible band. Their album Teatro D'Ira is a piece of art (their Italian songs are better imo). They also have a new album called RUSH! and they're getting bigger in the U.S.
What's great about these Eurovision weeks is that you don't know the songs and that's interesting (and funny) to see you discovering them. Can't wait for the 2020 week! 👍
We definitely need a Måneskin week! 😍 My suggestion is: 5. I wanna be your slave 4. Torna a casa (with english subtitles) 3. La paura del buio (with english subtiles) 2. The Loneliest 1. Coraline (with english subtiles)
@@valentinablumberg4212 So she is Italian AND Danish. Or Italian with ALSO Danish roots. But no person in the world is half. Half suggests you're nor the one, nor the other. While in fact you're being both.
The literal translation is: "Zitti" means keep quiet (in its plural form) and you were right about "buoni", It means be good; but actually, the closest translation is "shut up and behave". 😊
OMG yes, finally you have reacted to Our maneskin (you should really read the translation of the song, you will enjoy it more) (yes, I'm Italian) they made Italy win the Eurovision after 20 years for the 3dr time (and especially after all the tragic situation in italy because of the Coronavirus) it was incredible. ❤🇮🇹 Ps: Amo le vostre reaction, continuate così.
The group is from Italy but the name of the group is Danish because the girl is half Italian half Danish. You see this circle above the a, (Måneskin) that indicates that the term is from Scandinavia! It’s pronounced as “mòne-skin”
"Those are the judges tables" actually that is called the Green Room, its where all the other country's artists and delegations sit during the show. Since the final usually consist of 26 countries, there's usually that many seats for them~ usually a big couch for their whole team!
More Eurovision pls!!! Also hope you will react as a bonus to a video that goes into detail about what really is Eurovision (like "The ULTIMATE GUIDE to Eurovision" video). ps. you will learn there are no "judges tables" bcuz there are no judges there :))
If you are going to cointinue down the eurovision road here are some of my personal favourites: 1- fairytale by alexander rybak 2- fuego by eleni foureira 3- arcade by duncan laurence 4- la forza by elina nechayeva 5- soldli by mahmood
You should check out Lordi - Hallelujah. It was the first rock band to win the competition. I believe Måneskin (which is a Danish word, Mike was closer on the correct pronunciation) was the second rock band to win.
Eurovision 2020 Week!!! The 2020 Show was cancelled. There’s were the top 5 fan favorites. 5. Norway - Ulrikke -Attention 4. Bulgaria - Victoria - Tears Getting Sober 3. Iceland - Daõi & Gagnamagniõ - Think About Things 2. Switzerland - Gjon’s Tears - Répoundez-moi 1. Lithuania - The Roop - On Fire
2021Finland also had rock band. Blind Chanell with the song Dark side. They finished 6th with 301 points. Check it out, it's bretty good. By the way those where booths for other competitors, not for judges.
Yes, he smokes but there is plenty of publicly available video evidence showing that he's had that distortion at least since he was about 15. He has said it is a natural anomaly in his vocal cord.
I'm an Italian fan and "Zitti" means "Be quiet" so the title translation is, more or less, "Be quiet and be good".... So they express with this song the constraint and the prejudice for that people common called "strange and crazy" (in any area of life), to push themselves to continue to be different cause there's nothing wrong with it and if people want to talk, they do so keep going and live your life as you are... So that means "zitti e buoni" is an ironic thing to say all those people...This is a statement song 🇮🇹❤️ (Thank you for the reaction ☺️)
@@tinamariasteenfathjenskole99well, they can. It just wouldn’t be live performances. If they don’t do 2020, they’ll never see Little Big and Dadi Freyr bands entries and that would be a tragedy!
I'm not sure you know Eurovision. It's not a talent contest where someone assesses newcomers and wannabes. It's an international festival where every participant represents their country, they're specifically selected among professionals up to that level, and they enter with a specific song. There are no "judges'" tables, there are no judges. There are only juries, watching and evaluating from all over Europe (plus Australia and Israel and Azerbaijan etc.), and the audience in all participating countries.
Guys that is Green Room ( in front of staging where are all the delegations with participants, the judges had a show only for them in previous day before grand final )
...if Måneskin week-- what songs to choose 🤔??? I can't 😁! "Chosen ", baby Måneskin 😄? No... seriously -- "In Nome Del Padre", live, - absolutely hard rock "Caroline" from Sanremo, - classic ballad "I wanna be your slave" live, --just pure Måneskin 🥵 Something from new album ... I don't know, many! Personally, I can't live this year without " Il donno della vita " 🥀, but, there's no live 😒, only beautiful lyric video❤️🩹 , strong song in Italian. Earliest Måneskin - clip"La Parole Lontane" ,pure beauty, Longiano romantic era of Måneskin 💖 ,we all love that time ... So, live performances is the best- from any concerts and festivals ❤️🔥🤟
You guys should definitely see the monthly top 20 list they do on the Eurovision channel. You would get lots of inspirations for new songs to check out.
Ziti = form of pasta (plural) zitti = imperative form of "be silent" or "shut up!" Song refers to old people telling young people to shut up and be good.
Zitti e Buoni is Italian for "Shut up and behave. " Even though I've been following them for a couple yrs now, I LOVE how Ethan have a huge tribute to Paradise City, with that little solo there at the end. Name pronounced ""mah ne skin " Danish for " moonlight " because the bassist Victoria is part Danish. It was just a random name chosen.
Ziti= kind of long pasta
Zitti= shut up
Buoni= good or be good
Zitti e buoni= shut up and be good
Just to let you know, the flashing lights during the blue section isn't the judges tables, it's the seats that the contestants sit in. Once they finish the preformance they go to these seats to watch the rest of the show, get interviewed and are there for when the results come out. The judges are based in each different country and judge the Friday preformace so that they have the results ready for the finale on Saturday. It's like that for the semi's too. Maneskin❤han tenido una carrera meteorica ahora son famosos mundialmente
Always Amazing Maneskin 🔥 Damiano 🔝 ❣️ more please
One more comment for a Måneskin Week!!!! They're insanely talented and versatile and just, endlessly fun to watch
You absolutely right ... -- rock, fank, glam, alternative, beautiful romantic ballads ...🎉❤!!!
For me, the best Eurovision winner!!! You really need Maneskin week, they blew up after Eurovision, their music is so good
Måneskin is danish for moonlight. The bassist is half danish.
Nobody is half.. She's ALSO Danish 😉
@@thijseijk25Her mother was Danish, but, she is Italian, no🤔?
@@valentinablumberg4212 So she is Italian AND Danish. Or Italian with ALSO Danish roots. But no person in the world is half. Half suggests you're nor the one, nor the other. While in fact you're being both.
@@valentinablumberg4212yes she's half danish
Go on with Måneskin. Full immersion🎉
Måneskin week!!!! My 5 ;)
- nome del padre
- I wanna be your slave
- Coraline
- For your love
- Valentine
Yay, this is the best suggestion list I've seen this far, so I second this!
Best suggestion so far. They’re all gems
Ziti (one T) = a type of pasta; Zitti (two Ts) = shut up. Title of the song: shut up and behave yourself.
Guys those are not judges tables😂 they are for other participating countries/singers and their team sit there for pretty much whole show👍
The group is from Italy but the name of the group is Danish because the girl is half Italian half Danish.
You see this circle above the a, (Måneskin) that indicates that the term is from Scandinavia!
It’s pronounced as “mòne-skin”
You should watch a whole Eurovision finale and voting system just to see how anxious we get each year and how the points are counted. Trust me!
deff from 2021, especially cause those 0 ahaha
I need a Måneskin week🤟🏻please!
We need a Maneskin week now, guys!
The night Vic became a new icon 🔥
i’ve been waiting for maneskin to make an appearance on the channel!!!
Two great rock bands in 2021 ! Måneskin and Blind Channel (worth checking out Dark Side)!
Yesss❤
If you are going to cointinue down the eurovision road here are some of my personal favourites:
1- fairytale by alexander rybak
2- fuego by eleni foureira
3- arcade by duncan laurence
4- la forza by elina nechayeva
5- soldli by mahmood
Anyone could have won this year, but on the night the energy of måneskin won it
You should check out Lordi - Hallelujah. It was the first rock band to win the competition. I believe Måneskin (which is a Danish word, Mike was closer on the correct pronunciation) was the second rock band to win.
Eurovision 2020 Week!!!
The 2020 Show was cancelled. There’s were the top 5 fan favorites.
5. Norway - Ulrikke -Attention
4. Bulgaria - Victoria - Tears Getting Sober
3. Iceland - Daõi & Gagnamagniõ - Think About Things
2. Switzerland - Gjon’s Tears - Répoundez-moi
1. Lithuania - The Roop - On Fire
2021. Was a FUCKING GOOD year for Eurovision
2021Finland also had rock band. Blind Chanell with the song Dark side. They finished 6th with 301 points. Check it out, it's bretty good. By the way those where booths for other competitors, not for judges.
You're right about the distortion on his voice! They used a retro technique to achieve it: several years of heavy smoking.
Yes, he smokes but there is plenty of publicly available video evidence showing that he's had that distortion at least since he was about 15. He has said it is a natural anomaly in his vocal cord.
And that performance changed their life’s forever and they were in their early 20s. Amazing band.
Can't wait for you to do 2020 Eurovision. It was cancelled, but the songs for each nation were released.
Guys I hope you'll do Eurovison 2020 ❤
Well, it was cancelled because of Covid. So they cant really do a top 5. But, yes, please continue.
@@tinamariasteenfathjenskole99well, they can. It just wouldn’t be live performances. If they don’t do 2020, they’ll never see Little Big and Dadi Freyr bands entries and that would be a tragedy!
Thanks reaction måneskin ❤️🔥
I'm not sure you know Eurovision. It's not a talent contest where someone assesses newcomers and wannabes. It's an international festival where every participant represents their country, they're specifically selected among professionals up to that level, and they enter with a specific song. There are no "judges'" tables, there are no judges. There are only juries, watching and evaluating from all over Europe (plus Australia and Israel and Azerbaijan etc.), and the audience in all participating countries.
You NEED a Måneskin WEEK!!!!!!
Guys that is Green Room ( in front of staging where are all the delegations with participants, the judges had a show only for them in previous day before grand final )
Roll on top 5 from 2019 🙌
now a Maneskin week?? :)
...if Måneskin week-- what songs to choose 🤔??? I can't 😁!
"Chosen ", baby Måneskin 😄? No... seriously --
"In Nome Del Padre", live, - absolutely hard rock
"Caroline" from Sanremo, - classic ballad
"I wanna be your slave" live, --just pure Måneskin 🥵
Something from new album ... I don't know, many! Personally, I can't live this year without
" Il donno della vita " 🥀, but, there's no live 😒, only beautiful lyric video❤️🩹 , strong song in Italian.
Earliest Måneskin -
clip"La Parole Lontane" ,pure beauty, Longiano romantic era of Måneskin 💖 ,we all love that time ...
So, live performances is the best- from any concerts and festivals ❤️🔥🤟
You guys should definitely see the monthly top 20 list they do on the Eurovision channel. You would get lots of inspirations for new songs to check out.
Please do a Maneskin week! They sold out Madison Square garden on their last tour in the US
"Zitti e buoni" in Italian means "shut up and be a good boy/girl" usually used in classrooms
They are Italian, but Måneskin is actually Danish and means Moonshine.
"Måneskin" is a danish word that means "moonlight" ;-)
While the band is Italian, the name "Måneskin" is Danish (Victoria has a Danish mother(?)) and means moon shine in Danish.
Vic is dane. She have a danish and Italien citizenships.
Ziti = form of pasta (plural) zitti = imperative form of "be silent" or "shut up!" Song refers to old people telling young people to shut up and be good.
Måneskin is indeed from Italy, though the name is Danish and means "moon shine".
we need a måneskin week asap!! it’s pronounced as moaneskin (not mounskin or maneskin just to lyk)
WE NEED A MÅNESKIN WEEK!!!
guys you’ve been living under a rock till now !!😅
you need to do a maneskin week asap
they made a song with tom morello from ratm. i am a fan from before sanremo.
Måneskin have Done a cover on Begin 🎉🎉🎉
Всё ещё ждём Måneskin week☺️🔥‼️
Zitti e Buoni is Italian for "Shut up and behave. "
Even though I've been following them for a couple yrs now, I LOVE how Ethan have a huge tribute to Paradise City, with that little solo there at the end.
Name pronounced
""mah ne skin " Danish for " moonlight " because the bassist Victoria is part Danish. It was just a random name chosen.
Ay yo ya estaba buscando toda la semana de måneskin, hagan una con el último disco Rush es lo mejor del mundo.
