Oh yeah, the lyrics in all their songs are written by the 22 year old frontman, Damiano David. Really talented bunch all of them, and bearing in mind many of their songs are older, we are talking about barely out of puberty kids killing it both in the lyrics and music parts. They deserve greater recognition, although I do not want them to write and sing predominantly in English - their English tracks are really cool but in Italian they are magical!

I started learning Italian during the pandemic, and I was so excited that Italy won Eurovision last year. I was happy to listen to more music in Italian. :)
You should ABSOLUTELY react to their song “Coraline” with English subtitles, “I wanna be your slave” (the live from studio version), “Torna a casa”,”Vent’anni” with English subtitles.

This band took many of us by surprise, young and old :-) Such quality, such charisma and energy, I have not experienced this in a long time. Amazingly, they have 20 other songs of highest quality (I know, hard to believe !!) and they are only 20-22......Since I saw them at Eurovision, I am totally addicted and struggle to get my work done....

hi ! I am italian and of course I live here! and i know and follow Maneskin since they won italian xfactor in 2017. the band's name is not italian :it means moonshine in danish, because, Victoria, the bassist, is half danish. I am happy that many guys and influencers on social networks are making maneskin known all over the world and I literally enjoy it when you have enthusiastic reactions because the Italian song has always been something else in the world. but there is also Italian rock and even if you don't understand the words, but now with the internet you can find the lyrics everywhere but the music is crazy and I've seen a lot of metal or rock influencers or social media who like their music. Italian is not an easy language to put into music, it is complex and we have a thousand words to explain a thousand emotions, it is not as easy as English and it does not lend itself to the speed of sound. so they are doubly good! and when I hear you sing in Italian on youtube I am proud of it and we all feel citizens of the world, all the same, no different, without racism or superiority between one country and another. ciao dall' Italia!
I have seen many UA-cam commentators from all over the world moving their heads up and down to the rhythm of bass, drums and electric guitar of this band.
It seems incredible, but these young boys from Rome started their careers as simple buskers when they where only 16-17 years old...

That’s true. But it can also be quite devastating, leaving you feeling satisfied but also like your chest has been hollowed out, and pleasantly fatigued.
What’s your favorite song? My favorite song is “Come Crimson Death” by Jess and the Ancient Ones (specifically the original version of it from their 2012 self-titled debut album, _not_ the version from the 2016 deluxe version of the album, which has _terrible_ audio for some reason. You can tell them apart because the 2012 version is a greenish-yellow color with a purple background, and the 2016 version is an orangish-cream color with a black background).

Nikkietutorials wasn't a judge, she was one of the hosts! The voting in the Eurovision is a bit complex, there are juries of experts in every European country that vote the songs together with the viewers

This is my fav reaction to them, BY FAR!!! This performance started my Maneskin obsession and as a European it makes me so happy and proud that they are getting so many good reactions from Americans. You should totally react to their song "CORALINE" with English subtitles next!
React to more of their stuff, they are incredibly talented. They have a couple of albums out and each song is better than the last.
Also in terms of lyrics, many of their songs have incredibly deep lyrics.

i remember i reacted the same, but for me i was like ...well..i ignored eurovision this year but at some point i couldnt anymore so i watched all the finalists but maneskin really made me feel like i belonged.
you should really check out their other songs!

This reaction was so great and you're cool as hell!! It'd be amazing if you did more måneskin reactions. They've fast became one of my favourite bands - incredible musicality and presence made more impressive by their age (20-22). I'd recommend Coraline, Le Parole Lontane or Torna Casa for something poetic and meaningful, Moriò da Re or I wanna be your Slave for something that straight up just slaps, and also check out their xfactor audition (they placed 2nd on the Italian xfactor in 2017) and covers like Somebody Told Me and Kiss This
I think you have to listen also "for your love", "torna a casa", "coraline" and "amandoti" in live version in Sanremo and also one of their firsts exhibition in x factor "kiss this"

Their song remind me, depending on witch one I listen to, of Franz Ferdinand, Jet, The Darkness, RCHP, soft SOAD songs like Roulette...lots of bands. Even like Latino artists.

FYI. The Eurovision Song Contest consists of around 40 competing EU countries, with Australia as an added special entry. After the live performances, there are 2 voting rounds in which each country participates: 1) The country's professional jury vote and 2) the country's televoting results (the population of each participating country can vote for their favorites via text message, mobile app, or phone line). Each country will provide 2 sets of points. The country with the accumulated highest score wins the competition. There is no prize for the ESC winner, except for the right of that winning country to host next year's ESC. Despite what many people in some countries might say, ie. the UK - 0 points this year, is the honor of winning the ESC and hosting the contest a HUGE privilege. This year's winner Italy last won and hosted the festival 30 years ago. The festival was last won in 2019 by the Netherlands thus it was hosted in the Netherlands this year for the first time in 40 years... the 2020 edition was cancelled for the first time in 65 years.
The winning artists are usually recognized worldwide. ie Duncan Laurence (2019 winner) who is getting big with 'Arcade' in the US as we speak, and of course Maneskin who are storming the charts everywhere.
Hosting the ESC will cost the hosting country ~25 Million Euros minimum. The Netherlands started with a 30 Million Euro budget which grew to well over 40 Million Euros. The Dutch show this year is regarded as one of the best shows ever. With incredible lighting, Augmented Reality effects, incredible staging, and a superb interval show... despite it being during the Covid pandemic. The Eurovision Song Contest is twice as big as the Super Bowl, it scores around 200 Million live viewers of which 183 Million are TV viewers, and another 20 Million online. It's not cheap, but worth it...
Loved the reaction, it was genuine. I don't know if you ever heard or listened to them already, but you should check Lacuna Coil - Blood, Tears, Dust (The 119 Show - Live in London) they are from Italy as well and they play gothic/heavy metal but they are really unique.

Sometimes, and this certainly is, being separated by the language barrier is an involuntary advantage, because the unexpected emotional flow triggered by the song and the performance comes directly from the ears without going through the mind and impacts hard in the depths of being. Just subscribed😏 I loved your reaction, so genuine🤗 Let me give you a bit of their background: the band was 16-18 yo when appeared on X Factor Italy in 2017 with their unreleased song Chosen (you can easily find the video, it's nice to see from where they started😉). Unfortunately they placed 2nd, but their first and second album were already pure gold🤯 this year they won Sanremo (the most important italian song festival) and then Eurovision. I would suggest to have a look to both their album, IL BALLO DELLA VITA and TEATRO D'IRA VOL.I.

I have Hatari and Go_A on there, but i didn't want to list two songs of the same bands, because once she has listened to one song, it would not really be something new anymore, so I went with the songs I like the most from these bands.

My wife is 59 years old and she drug me up to the Filmore in downtown Detroit back in November '22 and I thought we'd be the oldest but when we sat at our table, one of the ladies sitting at our table was 65. Like the saying goes, "If it's too LOUD, you're too OLD!".
every single song is written and arranged by them every track is spectacular! their versatility, their passion, their desire to shout feelings and emotions to the world make their songs special. they are everything ... their style unites the youngest and the oldest! I've seen them twice in concert and their energy is overwhelming !!!! i love this guys listen to all the songs on their albums, read the lyrics and fall in love with them!
