For anyone saying ppl look older back then, listen to how people are speaking too...mature, not 'like, it's uuuhh yeah like" intelligent. Well dressed and interesting. Bring all this back!!
I'm 62 and unfortunately the advent of "like" infiltrated the American English in 2005 or so. Young people speak weirdly and drone on with not much intelligence🧐.
This is my generation, and I love seeing the hairstyles and clothes again. Brings back a lot of great memories! I miss the almost formal way we carried ourselves.
People dressed more mature and classy in the 80’s/90’s. I remember being little and watching my parents getting ready to go out dancing or to a party. I loved watching my mom pick out her dress, stockings, and heels. Do her hair and make-up. I couldn’t wait to be older to dress up like that. Good memories.
These folks look older than they are!! Maybe a more mature time? I absolutely love this show! The clothes, etc! I was born in 83'. I remember my siblings watching this show ❤
People shouldn’t boo anyone for making the choice to not have children. It’s perfectly fine to make that choice. She’s a controller at a company which is a really tough job, even if she had kids she wouldn’t be present for them. I think it’s good to know what you want.
It really wasn’t that unusual. I have several friends, all in our 60s, who never had children and many others who never even married. Some of my girlfriends didn’t want children and some friends of both sexes felt it was better to be alone than to marry into a bad situation. I myself didn’t marry until 34, I was headed for never until I met my husband.
No it wasn't, what are you talking about? I'm in my 60's with no kids and that was a personal choice. The 80's & 90's was smashville (safely). All we DID was club and "get down" physically afterwards. Every freaking weekend, happy hours with a full complement of food FOR FREE, drinks, slow dancing, etc. Great times!!!!!!!! Also, the women were after the men, just as much as the men were after the women, which is why it's hard for me to believe that the first couple didn't "do the deed" 😊👍
First lady : Chuck wished he could have been the one getting picked up in a plane. I love how she took charge. She would have showed up in his room but she didn't have her strap-on.
Fact: Chuck Woolery was supposed to play Damon Killian in The Running Man alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger but this along with Scrabble was why he turned down the role and Richard Dawson took over the role.
Hey guys! This is a long shot, but my dad was a contestant on the show sometime in the 80s. His name is Brandon Gilbert, and he said he thinks the girl was from Georgia but lived in Hollywood. I’ve been trying to find his episode forever. Please help me out! He said he was the final pick to move onto the second date.
@@TC2020-w8uyou are absolutely right. I was 21 in 1988 and had been a general manager of a restaurant for a year by then. My husband (who I met later) was the general manager of a Kinkos at 19 and had bought his first house. For the most part our parents clothed and fed us but couldn’t afford to give us all the things beyond the basics a young person is wanting at that age and we had to do it ourselves. Getting a car was of course high on our priority list! I was working full time by 16 because I wanted school clothes that weren’t from Sears. (We were not supposed to work that much during school years, but no one checked. I was working Micky Ds then) it was just a time when most grew up faster because they were eager to be in charge of their own lives. It really was just a different time, for many reasons.
The maturity of men and women has significantly dropped over the years. Today’s 24 act and sound 12 while years ago they acted 10 years older than what they were.

Chris and Kris... I swear he was an actor or the guy that had a reality series where he did renovations only on mansions. The show dealt with his fastidious behavior at home with his staff that surrounded him and got controlled and mistreated by his snide remarks and criticism. But then he would buy lunch to keep them in a forgiving mind set while dealing with terribly hurt feelings. His assistant was always on his bad side. His Hispanic house keeper was like a second mom to him and she was always in his line of fire. For years I watched this show and now I can't remember the name of it . His name might have been Jeff. He made his own brand of paint.
Last girl’s voice is NOT deep compared to today’s women in 2024. Like no comparison I have nieces who are deeper voiced than some of the men in Love Connection.
I miss that brand of silky top pantyhose called 'Silky'. My gosh, the compliments were non stop! The down fall came hard and fast when sweat pants invaded!! Women gained weight at the speed of sound. Then hair scrunchies added to the whole laziness. Not me!!! I rebel to this day 😊 Dress for sucess means exactly that 😊❤
2nd date : Dana, anyone named Dana is always a bit feminine and submissive. I think Kerri was too much woman for him. She almost burnt her self from his Nylon burning kiss.
Robin Williams said being alone is not the worst thing. Being with someone who makes you feel alone is the worst thing. She’d make you feel alone. All about her.
I love these episodes.my uncle was 27 yrs old in 1988.he acted 27.not 17. Today a guy 27 may act 17....the 80s &90s.were the best times..

Too late, cell phones and computers have taken over, intelligent does not exist much these days.

35 years ago. Insane
We are old
They both look like they came right off the set of the movie roadhouse with Patrick Swayze

That's what I said too. They did not look like they were in their 20s. I thought 30s. Lol
Remember that film was blurry back then, not high def and filtered
The film used is different, the makeup is different, the cameras put on about 10 pounds,.
I don't think they look older than people today.
I’ve noticed that a lot of these twenty somethings are also way further along in their careers than the twenty somethings of today.
Life is good. We used to have to wait for the next day or sometimes week for the next episode. Now we can binge watch! 🎉

Not everyone is meant to be a parent. I'm glad she knew which camp she was in
I had the exact same impression as Chuck did of Keri & Dana, that there was going to be a disastrous ending.
They turned out to be a nice couple
They liked each other a lot. They were a nice couple.
That's what I thought, was pleasantly surprised when it turned out they liked each other
I wish we knew if they are still together
Love her!! To be childfree by choice in the 80s was unheard of! 😮 👏🏻
Same, I applaud her!
No, it wasn't...grow up

Maybe the nyc museum of tv and radio
Announcer Rich Jeffries (RIP) would be replaced by veteran "Jeopardy!" announcer Johnny Gilbert a few weeks after this episode.
Wow. Thanks for sharing!!
Ann and looks exactly like Anne Heche (RIP) 😮
Dana’s judgement on Keri was very good on how she looked in person vs. her video.
Dating in the 80s-90s was the best!
Yes it was!
People were old looking back then
Right?! They did not look like they were in their 20s. Now these days they look younger than their age. Lol
lol yeah and that dude had the trump hair style going on
50 is the new 24
As one who once was their age during the LC days, we look even older now!
I'm 52, seems more like 50 is the new 35.
That last gal reminded me of Miley Cirus! Even her voice!
She favors Barbara Mandrel
*Yaaaaaasss...*
😳 Oh my Goodness of all people Definitely Not The Fabulous Barbara Mandrell she looks nothing like her. Proud to be related to the Mandrell Family
Dana gave me the CREEPS 😂
I was able to convince my gorgeous wife to buy a VCR like $500 so she could record her fav soap and this..lol 1986? lol
😮
I used to watch these in re run in the 90s
This is the second episode I’ve seen Robin on
It's so scary dating these days not everyone but most people are constantly on the phone laptop Website looking for hookups just sex
It's amazing how old people looked for there age back then
I know. They acted older too.
Or more grown up.
Things were different.

Love the honesty of her reply. What's wrong with that?

How are they only 24? They look and sound older.

It has a lot to do with the demeanor the hair style and the clothing.
People left home when they were 18, not 30 something like today.

Who many episodes was the hairdresser on.
Where is Karen Dunbar now? She is awesome.
Unfortunately, GSN never reran any of the 1986-87 Season or 1987-88 Season Episodes; does anyone know why?

Last girl top! No man good enough is born yet! 🤩
Love her decision not to have children.. Very responsible compared to some girls I've known throughout my life!

The Lorimar-Telepictures logo at 21:50.

I’d love to know what happened with Karen.
All these people are in their 60s now
I remember this show as a headbanger watching it on tv in my apartment. I’m 61 now! I wonder if any of these people got married or are still single?
What are nylons 😮
Denuse looks more than 25..😮
the 1st lady, Karen, seems v cold and unfeeling. She treated her date like he was for sale.
Does Keri have a wedding ring on?
She seems like a stalker!
Lady in red is exactly the kind of self-assured even well-off woman who knows what she wants, that scares so call “alpha” men nowadays.
Probably a cat lady these days.
