The insults back and forth were ungracious and not needed but this is entertainment and the insults entertain. Dave looked like he wanted to take the high road and not insult the woman in the first segment because he doesn't appear someone who liked insults. I always enjoyed Love Connection. Chuck Wollery was always my favorite as he maintained a subtle control over the show but allowed people to entertain and be jerks.

To all the idiots saying everyone looks 45 - first of all they really don't. No graying/thinning hair, no lines in the faces. Secondly, once upon a time in America, adults goal wasn't to look like teenagers. In fact, teenagers tried to look adult. Third, pre-Botox - we weren't quite as plastic back in the day - thank God. Finally, you are just saying that because the styles (hairdo, clothes) are that of your parents. This was filmed in 1988 - when your parents were young. Duh.

yeah if you imagine them with modern hair styles and facial hair styles and modern make-up they look the correct age
I think it's just the hairstyles and stashes be quite honest with you and a lot of people dressed a lot more conservatively, which is not a bad thing I haven't had Botox or anything like that but I really think it's the hairstyles and fashion
