How to fix Krita Brush Sensitivity?
Get your Wacom and other tablets (Parblo) to get along better with Krita software.

Pressure sensitivity wasn't working for me, so I just uninstalled the tablet driver and reinstalled it. Working now.

My pen sensitivity was not working at all. Reinstalling the driver did nothing, nor did altering the tablet settings. Turns out in Settings - Configure Krita - General - Tools, you find Kinetic Scrolling. Mine was disabled. So I set it to On Touch Drag and after reopening the app I suddenly had pressure sensitivity.

@@ashildrtheswift3028 Honestly same, I use a surface pro 6 along with a Pac Dot S pen, I've tried everything I could find except reinstalling the drivers. Since I don't have full access to my laptop I'd have to ask my dad to do that, which I highly doubt he will
At this point I was just thinking of asking him to let me try out clip studio paint, but I'm not entirely sure if pen pressure would work on there since it doesn't work on Krita, not only that but I also highly doubt he'll let me
Phoebe mentioned it below, but I am on a Surface 8 and I had to check Windows8 + Pointer Input (Windows Ink). This finally worked for me after Krita just randomly stopped being pressure sensitive.

Oh my goodness I was almost going to uninstall the app and do a complete reset. Turns out I just needed to change the curve. Thank you. 😭
I just uninstalled my tablet's driver and it compleately worked fine, I fixed my problem this way.

Hi, tysm. Though i have anityer problem. Sometimes when im drawing it just moves my cursor to the side kf the pens and colors. So i cant draw that well
Is there a way to prevent changing the brush's cursor size when using a brush that changes size depending on pen pressure?

I have to deal with pressure sensitivity issues like EVERY. DAY. I wonder if I'm not saving something right...
the pen pressure only works with certain brushes .
When i use the basic 2 opacity , it has a round tip .
when i use the basic 5 size , the tip has a sharp edge .
For some reason my pen pressure still isn't working.
I use a XP PEN Star04 and Windows 10. It works in Medibang but Krita wont work. Can someone help?

hey, i have a macbook and a wacom intuos cth-680 m and i was using krita, paint and ggg i forgot what its called lol but it starts with g and my pressure sensitivity literally didnt work at all. i have been trying to figure out the problem for like months before now when i had my huion h420. i cant seem to find a fix but if anyone else is the same, i seen in the comments someone was using the app medibang, and i downloaded it and my pressure sens works and im rly happy!! its fairly different from krita but all i care about is the pressure sens.
just thought id share incase anyone had the same problem!

Idk if this actually does anything but theres also a checkbox under tablet settings (settings/ configure krita/ tablet settings) that says windows 8+ pointer input. When I first tried with the vid it didn't work, but once I checked that box it did! Hope this helps :)

I fix it by on configuracion using windows 8 ink instead of wintab and activating windows ink from my tablet driver

I'm running into the problem where I do any press harder than just barely touching opens up the short cut menu for brushes/tools. Do you know how to disable this?

I swear when I draw sometimes my pressure sensitivity doesn't work and I have bold outlines without any pressure
LOL I was searching all over youtube for videos on krita pen pressure not working, but turns out I was using the brush with no pressure 😆
Can you tell me about that because that's still confusing to me. What brushes have sensitivity and which ones don't
@@optimalzero I was using the 5th default brush, called "Basic-1". That one has no pressure.
The sensitivity is in the pen tablet you're using.
Can you remake the tutorial for the newer version of Krita ? It's not working on 4.2.9
I will have to download it and look at it. It should be in the same place I would imagine.

i can't get anything to work. the video, the comments. nothing. it was working fine for a bit then just stopped
Where is preference settings? The screen is so small I can't see what you are clicking
It is under the Krita heading in the top right corner of the software when it is open. Sorry I left that part of the screen out.
@teele, its actually in setting, then press configure krita, then you can see the tablet settings.

What you need to do is look for the tiny button on that same screen, which is in the bottom left corner. "Restore defaults". :)

Dang I just try different programs to see the ease of use. This one is pretty easy to work with for me. I am on a mac.
Its Like once you're done with one problem it spawns another 1 for no reason
