  • @SerMattzio
    @SerMattzio Рік тому +23

Great analysis, thank you. I really noticed that pacing shots more pays off with semi auto weapons too. Often I'm finding I kill PMCs when I fire slower with weapons like that because the accuracy is so much higher. It's easy to panic and think more bullets faster = win, but if you're hitting areas like the arms in a close fight because you're shooting too fast it's worse than taking time to line up on Thorax/Head.

Fun fact for all of you next wipe in case you didn't know, recoil number...means very little in the gun. Each style of gun has its own recoil pattern that can lead to better recoil, even with a higher number. Examples are the VPO / AK 7.62 line has its own recoil pattern, but if you use a stock SKS, you can achieve a better grouping than a modded VPO, go ahead and test this on a wide open map like Interchange. You will have a much higher first shot recoil on the SKS but if you can account for that, even stock its a small grouping, honestly a busted level of horizontal recoil, like shooting 100+ yards = a horizontal difference of a few feet maybe. Another example is the 9mm where guns like the Saiga / Pp-19 have the same recoil pattern, but the Stm-9 is substantially better recoil, despite having worse stats. Wipe is coming up, so I suggest going onto maps with an AK & SKS as well as a PP-19 & STM 9 and compare, I've taken many clips with modded vs unmodded of each version and the differences between guns with the same stats is night and day.
All of these tests I've done are spamming the trigger as fast as possible, not slow shooting. I kept the same ammo type and number in each magazine to prevent as much difference as possible.

I’ve heard you mention tap fire in your more recent videos and streams, this video was cool to watch though to see the direct comparison! Since hearing you first start saying this, I’ve been using most ARs on semi auto and switching to full auto when enemies are close enough to comfortably point fire.
For me, I feel like tap firing makes me feel more in control of my weapon rather than my weapon controlling me. I conserve ammo in fights way better and often times win fights just because my opponent has to reload before I do. Great tips as always!

For me, bursting did better result. While I do tap-firing for medium-to-long distances, for medium-to-short distances I have more success with bursting 3-4 rounds. Probably because my setup works better for bursting (M4 user with medium amount of mods) than tap-firing. BUT I do use AK74 when lootrunning and I found the gun to be much better for tap-firing than my M4 and I use tap-firing more often than not with my AK74.
I guess it depends on what weapon - just as you've mentioned in the video. And also when situational needs arise, of course. Thanks for the tips btw!

heres a small trick that works for whatever reason. in you just hold fire. you're guns barrel has that huge initial recoil jump that sends it it. well if you fire 1 or two rounds then hold down fire, your guns muzzle will barely climb adn will just move side to side.

First shot recoil is true. Looks at any gun the jump between 1st and second /third shot is the most. You can see this at the hideout shooting range and play around with it. After that it calms down whether bursting or full auto. But the hideout shooting range or offline raid at a wall or something gives you the best idea . And you can play around with varying the speed of your shots between full auto and single shot till you can find that sweet spot for you. Essentially you wanna shoot as fast as you can while maintaining decent accuracy

OR, Nikita could apply real-world recoil and not have such absurd jumps in the initial few shots, which is what burst firing counters. He has literally been on gun ranges firing these guns for research, showing even he himself can control the recoil easily, then writes the code for the guns to jump so high on the first few shots like they're made of paper. All so they can implement the most pointless, boring, abusive "RPG skills" that progress. A civilian game developer can control weapon recoil better than the PMCs, supposedly trained military personnel, in this game. It makes no sense and makes Tarkov's gunplay the worst in gaming, as the recoil is...unpredictable and uncontrollable. Fights are won on luck and bullet type, not skill. Instead we now have a game where your character controls the recoil and does a piss poor job of doing it on the first few shots, promoting a fullauto meta.

I feel like a lot of people forget that in actual combat you never expect to pull the trigger unlike on a controlled environment where you're always anticipating the recoil. You find yourself in a fight and when you're already aware that you're mag dumping you start controlling. On the range experience is extremely different than being in an actual gunfight, it doesn't even matter if you're fully aware you'll end up pulling the trigger that day or that hour, you'll always react then understand. Also recoil isn't hard to control at all in tarkov, play other games that have recoil, you're using a mouse, aim lol.

The issue in this game are the PMC'S doing automatic recoil control. If they would simply remove this "feature" we as players could simply do it on our own.

@@TrTriTrippin whats not accurate? the game does have automatic recoil control. its tied to the recoil control skill. its like one of the most controversial features because its ass. its even in the video, the gun pulling down the longer he sprays is not him controlling the recoil, its the automatic recoil control kicking in.

I know you have heard this already, but for those who haven't, tapping can actually be detrimental in some cases. Your gun will kick the most when initially firing, and then your character will begin to control the recoil after the first few shots.

100 125 150k is the meta gun price. Some of the meta guns are 200k or 250k like meta m4 or mutant the new Ak is like 150-200. Tap fire is a bad practice if you run the mp7 lmao the gun is less then 150k with ammo and mags and you out preform all of your tap fire experiments also ash 12 is amazing with full auto, ash 12 is like 120k

    • @RamenStyle

Okay, this comment seems to come from someone who didnt finish watching the video.
I never said tap fire is better. I'm assuming you didnt finish the video. I straight up said you shouldnt tap fire all the time, and it's not better than full auto necessarily. I also mentioned that tap firing is case to case basis. Never said you should be tap firing an MP7. At the end of the video, I said I hold down the trigger on close to zero recoil guns like most SMGs in this video. The MP7 is an SMG. I wouldn't tap fire that gun.
Tap firing is NOT bad practice. Just because you're insane at full autoing all guns in Tarkov, doesnt mean everyone else is :) some of us need handicaps brotha.

@@RamenStyle that might be. I mean you are not wrong with you message, but I don't think it's wise to tap the enemy's on mid range, rather than full spray.
