  • An hour here and an hour there is the theme this week. There's a few jobs to get thru with the cattle and the calves and I'm asking people for ideas on where to place silage bales in the fodder rape for winter.

You should give the calves a dose of copper that’s why they have a brown tinge on there coats

Gave bolus's to calves one year complete waste of time and money, gave weeks later finding them coughed up in the fields. I find one drench of Grovite calf does the job Kieran

Double up the bales on one side as in put another row outside it , just means ul need 2 rnd feeders then as ul have to open two bales a time

Still trying to get figures for cost of slurry storage from builders and loan repayments from the bank. It’s taking ages to get answers/info from people. But I’ll get there

Try a copper dose for the brown coats

I wouldn't recommend giving a copper dose. Kieran has already given them a bolus a couple of weeks ago. On today's video he gave them a mineral drench both of which probably contain copper.
