The Dad says what he says because he knows if Greenwood is found guilty and goes to jail he can't earn money. If he continues playing his daughter can sign a non disclose agreement and earn more than most people would in a lifetime working as a cashier. In most cases the victim whom has shared info via other means I. E Instagram, Facebook etc to get messages out. Are often asked to remove, as to not prejudice the jury before trial. Otherwise, it could end as a mis-trial, and the victim/family and friend could be forced to relive those actions over and over. Well done on keeping it classy and respectable
As someone who's gone through abuse in a relationship, they get away with it most of the time, sad reality of our world. The evidence isnt all that convincing. The pictures could have been anyone and there is no proof greenwood made those bruises. And the audio could easily be manipulated or taken out of context. But if its true greenwood is guilty i hope he burns in hell. No matter what i just hope the truth will be told
There was another case I heard of from a goal keeper who abused his partner and she was expressing how all the large clubs have divisions in the club that work to keep the negative PR news hush hush. Her case was never moved forward because they club swept up the mess for their star goalkeeper and slandered her name saying she was crazy to make such accusations despite having clear evidence. I’m sure these are only a few cases of many that go unreported.
@@aberamagold7509 I had to piece some things together from my memory. Darren Randolph was the supposed abuser in the story I heard told. She presented some strong evidence to show how the club was working to sweep it up and avoid wide spread media coverage. I believe the incident happened around the time he was at West Ham before he was sent off to Middlesbrough. Ironically a few years pass and he is back at West Ham. Who knows though.

I read a comment on another YT piece from a Dad whose son had problems with Greenwood’s behaviour in the Man U Academy. Apparently the Club refused to address the issue and just sided with Greenwood (I’m guessing because of his talent & potential to make money for them). So he’s had everyone kissing his arse, all his life and he’s still a teenager. It happened to young musicians and actors and now it’s happening to footballers. It could be far too much, far too soon or it could be that he’s just a nasty piece of work. But he is innocent until proven guilty. Let the justice system do it’s thing. That's an arguable point but probably invalid. There are plenty of people who have no interest in social media, football or popular culture who could fill a jury. The way a jury is selected would not make this too difficult either.

There was another case I heard of from a goal keeper who abused his partner and she was expressing how all the large clubs have divisions in the club that work to keep the negative PR news hush hush. Her case was never moved forward because they club swept up the mess for their star goalkeeper and slandered her name saying she was crazy to make such accusations despite having clear evidence.

She presented some strong evidence to show how the club was working to sweep it up and avoid wide spread media coverage. I believe the incident happened around the time he was at West Ham before he was sent off to Middlesbrough.

Dang I signed Greenwood and Deku back in FIFA 20 for a Barça rebuild. I won 2 Continental Trebles in a row with that front line. This story should focus more on that people shouldn't judge someone until proven guilty. It's a disgrace that you can just accuse someone and everyone believes the persons meticulous lies. Good to see people like Johnny Depp stands up against theese crimes. I'm proud to say I never judged Greenwood before the trial. Now let's see if Greenwood is guilty or not in the trial.

I think losing his best friend combined with him getting absolutely shit on by everyone publicly at the time made him lose his mind. Not an excuse for his actions but it shows that he may be able to redeem himself

I read a comment on another YT piece from a Dad whose son had problems with Greenwood’s behaviour in the Man U Academy. Apparently the Club refused to address the issue and just sided with Greenwood (I’m guessing because of his talent & potential to make money for them).
So he’s had everyone kissing his arse, all his life and he’s still a teenager. It happened to young musicians and actors and now it’s happening to footballers. It could be far too much, far too soon or it could be that he’s just a nasty piece of work.
But he is innocent until proven guilty. Let the justice system do it’s thing. There’s a few things that don’t add up in the girls story and they need to be investigated. Stay tuned…
100% true yes...they grow up in a bizzarrre kind of fantasy world where everyone feeds their huge ego and never tells them they are acting like a dick and to stop it...but i also agree that up until a court finds him guilty he is innocent so we cannot judge him as we dont yet know he has actually done any wrong.

I did hear part of the recording but it wasn't very clear, plus what I thought I heard and what others say was on it don't exactly match.

When were they recorded? Did she leave immediately? If not, why not? Why didn’t she report to the police? Why did her father almost defend Greenwood? Why has it taken three months to charge him? Lots of questions. Now there may be simple answers but again, he’s innocent until proven guilty…

The dad might be defending mason because he likes money. Parents arent always good people mate. And tbh, the blood does look real. And the bruises are defo real, as someone who gets bruised from playing football every day they are very obviously real. So he hits her at least. And the audio is non refutable. You know what sucks here. This kid cannot defend himself in this situation, he is being gagged by his legal team while the girl can gain popularity and stay talking in the media. It’s really a scary world for young men to live in.
Side note, if you listen to the audio it really doesn’t prove anything at all. You would have to be an activist to say that tape was clearly damning. It wasnt a good look for sure, but proves nothing by that audio alone.

This case can never go to court. The decision of the alleged victim to post the recordings on social media has prejudiced any chance of a fair trial.
That's an arguable point but probably invalid. There are plenty of people who have no interest in social media, football or popular culture who could fill a jury. The way a jury is selected would not make this too difficult either.

If you're right, why are the police always asking people not to post on sub judice matters on social media for fear of hindering their chances of securing a conviction?

Well made video, as always, but we are missing too much information to be so judgemental. So much more needs to be taken into account. I hope they are both getting the support they need. We forget he is a young man too, and his actions, although horrendous, there has to be an opportunity for a pathway to forgiveness, and an opportunity for growth. We cannot destroy a person forever for their crimes. We also must respect the legal process.

There should be a time limit on how long it takes for a person to be on bail. Technically Greenwood could be on bail for the rest of his life if the police keep renewing it.
