- Very rusty and broken trench pocket knife restoration. This knife lay underground for 105 years. It was lost at the end of the First World War. I found this broken knife at the site of a German military camp. A handmade knife made by a soldier. The blade of the knife was broken. I decided to restore a pocket knife. I removed the rust and made a knife blade. I hope you liked my restoration.

Not sure that I’d call this a restoration but rather a well done crafting of a new knife using scrapes of a WW1 knife

Good work!! I liked your approach to making a good blade without resorting to heavy forging. That being said - the knife was originally so far gone that what you did is basically a re-build, not a restoration - the only original parts left are the brass liners and bolsters...

What was the point in cleaning that old one if you replace every freaking part?
Difficult to assess what is salvageable until everything is cleaned up.
