- Old broken switchblade knife restoration.
I found an old rusty broken automatic knife and decided to restore it. The spring in the knife was broken. I made a new spring. I removed the rust and polished the blade. I hope you liked my restoration.

з одного боку добре що накладки зберіглись, з ішого - вони негарні, сюди пасували б накладки з рога оленя
можливо, але вирішив залишити, щоб потім не звинувачували у тому, що оригінал зіпсував)

Does this style of switch-blade with a deployable cross-guard have a specific name? I have a great urge to find one for myself now. Especially if its a restored piece of art like this one.
You almost said its name in your question bro, in England this is known as a swing-guard switchblade.
@@beardedloon77 Most of my life was spent in a large city where automatic deploying knives were illegal, so the exact term wasn't quite in my head. Same goes for the oddity of finding alcohol in gas stations and easy access to fireworks.

Wie ist die Feder im Gehäuse befestigt? Sonst top. Die Griffe hätte ich ersetzt. Die sind ziemlich hässlich.
Lovely old swing-guard, but I would have made an shaped new handle scales those are so ugly lol.
When dizzy the clown bugler break you make sure he knows you didn't mean to say weird things on the Internet it's not your fault the bag kitchen knife possibly is for cutting a big piece of cake because you were so honest and understood that dizzy really understand a lot of subtle hand gestures and random two or three word mumblings good luck and don't forget dizzy looks just like you but slightly funnier but much more willing to pour all your inside liquids out...

@@user-zm1zo3zr3t Раджу відкрити інструкцію з визначення чи холодна зброя чи ні. Механізм давно не має ролі. Як приклад, це ножі від майкротеч (Місrotech). Довжина? Я мабуть здивую, але довжина може бути хоч 50 сантиметрів і це не буде холодною зброєю. Як приклад: колд стил Раджа ( Cold Steel Rajah). Щоб ніж був визнаний холодною зброєю, він має пройти всі параметри, які є в інструкції визначення. Якщо не попадає в один з пунктів, це вже не холодна зброя. Конкретно цей аж ніяк не буде холодною зброєю. Хоча б тому, що в холодної зброї товщина обуха має бути 2.6 міліметри. А тут стільки немає. Та й аргументи вище також навів, чому це не холодна зброя. На майбутнє раджу вивчити питання або інструкцію, а не писати дурниці.
Те що такі ножі часто робили в тюрмах, от тут згідний.

looks like a knife made in a Russian correctional labor camp.
The vinegar and soda treatment was a complete waste of time. You could’ve just started sanding and polishing it, there’s barely any corrosion
