- We finally got time to modify our camper with a longer tongue. We opted to go with a folding tongue option so we could still store the camper in the same garage space as well. We also added a custom bike rack on the tongue which works great with the longer tongue.

nice, I found it's easier to back up, rides smoother, and seems like improved gas mileage on mine by doing this.

I know I keep saying this but you do such great work. I am impressed with your skills every time I watch your videos. Looking at this I know for sure I could do this work but I would 100% need a better welder and some better machine shop tools. But that might be in the future for me. Great work again...

What can I say? Superb work, as always. My tongue is hanging out with envy 😝. My bet for the "reveal" is a picture frame window of some kind for stargazing complete with screens for ventilation, privacy blinds for keeping the light out, and a disco mirror party ball for...well, it's a family channel, so I'll stop there. 🥳

What an awesome mod! Go Wizard! I wonder if the extended tongue would help Chonky ride a bit smoother? Also, good tip about the corrosion in the pigtail for your 7-way. I'll check that out.
Thank you Julie. The bad thing about the internal wire corrosion is the only way to find it is to remove the jacket. It would probably have taken years for it to become a problem but know that I saw it I am going to fix it.
Heck of a setup. I would love to do something like this, but my welding skills are not at a level to trust supporting a camper.
It makes such a big difference. I notice the difference more around camp than going down the road but Cindy swears it rides better going down the road

Thank you for watching. My goal was to actually increase the tongue weight a bit so we would be a little over 10% of the trailer's weight of 1970 lbs. Tongue weight is now 210lbs.
