- Bedroom recordings have never sounded so good since this guy started. Why was he such a champ at writing his own drums too?

Don't worry, I haven't forgotten about David Maxim Micic :)

Seeing him on Thursday night. Thanks for putting his stuff out there.
FYI, that Video was shot at St. Barnabas’ Anglican Church in Sidney
Loved that JAM!!
2:23 I smiled when you said of this lazy stutter-step ascending line: “Whoa. That just got heavy.” Since the first time I heard this tune that line has had the same effect on me.
I had to look up stutter steps. Man, so much Plini does goes over my head until the 90th time I hear it haha.
@@MetalSharpensMetal I have to be honest. I 100% made up "lazy stutter-step". I don't want anyone to think that's a musical term. I was just too lazy to count the rests in that lick. 🙃
@@msheboigenlooool well I think it works as a term! At least, youtube showed me a couple videos where people were doing similar things
If you're more interested in metal stuff I recommend listening to the track "Legion" from TesseracT I'd be interested in listening on your take of the vocal and lyrical aspect of it.
Love those guys! Since I already went through Exile with Ashe its only fair I give Dan some love too.
@@MetalSharpensMetal I saw that I really liked that video Exile used to be my favorite song of all time until Legion came along I even had a dream about that song 2 days before they released it, I commented on the Exile with my own analysis, overall agreed with it and was really solid I love it!
Glad I’m not the only follower of the Lord that messes with Plini. Seeing him Friday night. Instrumental prog has really filled a place since I’ve become born again- I love metal but I don’t like growling/screaming vocals and I really hate ungodly lyrics. Subbed, brother
You're not the only one, there are dozens of us! 😂
I hear you about the lyrical content. Part of the reason for this channel was to steer people like you to bands you could love, as well as shed light on the sketchy stuff people might not be catching. There are some Christian bands on here, but most of them scream a bit. I'll have to make some playlists soon too
The World is Christ's is an awesome book! And that is a sweet shirt.
I think the reason Plini sounds to fresh within the metal scene is because of the heavy influence of jazz fusion music. He's like Allan Holdsworth with the gain turned up.
So true. Djazz has become a real thing for certain bands haha.
