    Lyrics:
(I've always been ashamed that I wanna)
(Fall into a dream with my honour desecrated)
    (Blood is jaded)
I feel alone in my body
    I feel a silence underneath
    In these valleys of blood
    In these rivers of rust
    Shoulder all the blame again
    Mirror locked until the end
    It was violent and rough
    I was never enough
But what if I was stable enough to wind me down the road
    Like a remora swims?
But what if I was inside a thousand lives to give my ghost?
It's never enough, it's never еnough
And I've always been ashamed that I wanna
Fall into a dream with my honour dеsecrated
    Blood is jaded
I've never found a way to be honest
All I know is a place where I haunted memories faded
    Blood is jaded
In my dreams all I see is a crimson key
    Tethered by a falling string
Meant to turn in the lock for me
    I can't leave so I justify
    Interloper of confidence
    Under pressure of influence
Not a curse that I caused
    Never to rot
What if I was? (What if I was?)
    What if I was?
(It's never enough, it's never enough)
And I've always been ashamed that I wanna
Fall into a dream with my honour desecrated
    Blood is jaded
I've never found a way to be honest
All I know is a place where I haunted memories faded
    Blood is jaded
I know where I wanna go
But you know that it's too close
And you know that it's too late this time
And I've always been ashamed that I wanna
Fall into a dream with my honour
I've never found a way to be honest
All I know is a place where I haunted memories faded
    Blood is jaded
And I've always been ashamed that I wanna
Fall into a dream with my honour desecrated
    Blood is jaded
I've never found a way to be honest
All I know is a place where I haunted memories faded
    Love is jaded
    (What if I was?)

I think you make a good point about why Spiritbox is successful (relatability, lack of ego). And Courtney's willingness to write about real (again, relatable) feelings. However, The Fear of Fear is one song in six parts of a looping narrative. To me, it feels like it's about being drawn toward the inevitable, resisting your fate, eventually accepting it, and then repeating the exact same process all over again. Being drawn. Resisting. Accepting. Repeating.

Thanks for stopping by. That's an interesting take - it sounds kinda like reincarnation? Or determinism or something. I hadn't thought of the looping concept but it fits with the mirror symbolism and some other parts.

@@MetalSharpensMetal I don't know if her point is necessarily reincarnation. It feels more like a time-loop.

Belcarra is my absolute favorite by them. They are great and only get better with time. Courtney is the queen of scream. Holy Roller is another great song and video you should check out. It's not for the faint of heart though. Holy Roller sits in the garden we fled, blood into wine take my body instead holy roller!

Holy Roller is pretty wild, I like their heavy side too for sure. But their melodies just stick with me more overall. Thanks for watching!

So when I saw this one come up after your reaction to sleep token I had to check it out. Honestly I'm conflicted on views on this video. And I'm not sure if you're "softening" your views or what. On one hand you mentioned about the whole name of spiritbox, which is just an electronic device which people think talks to ghost, but my understanding is it's just a radio device that hears rf bleed throughs and a bit of brain pattern recognition and viola you got ghosts. But the thing I almost swore you'd mention is that the song that brought spiritbox to fame is the song Holy Roller where she crosses between a pagan outfit and corpse paint and it's pretty much still one of the most powerful and heavy songs I've heard.
As far as there is no such things as ghost. You brought back memories because this was the first thing that got me in trouble as a kid. And while you're right ghost don't exist when I was 6-7 my grandmother died. And being that young and so close to her it hurt. Every night for months after her death before I'd go to bed I'd feel her presence. Now of course I mentioned I'd seen her ghost, and was told that ghosts aren't real. My response was kinda like but we go to heaven and angels are real, but ghosts aren't? That did not go down well.

Hey man, welcome back. Ya I didn't mention Holy Roller because I wanted to stick to this EP and the video would have gotten a bit longer than I wanted. I'm not exactly following what you mean by going all over the place though. Is it possible you don't understand my views because they're different from the Christian views you grew up around?
I believe your grandmother's soul exists, but that's not the same thing as a ghost in the sense that our movies today depict. And yes, as a Christian I believe heaven, angels (not that we become angels when we die; they're different beings), souls, and demons are all real, but I'm not seeing the contradiction.

@@MetalSharpensMetal ok changed my post a bit. And I understand what you were trying to go with. When you did the sleep token and lorna shore songs you made a point to bring up there other songs as "bad" where as with spiritbox you did bring up the whole spirit box part, but didn't go into the fact that they have a very "scary" song that kinda put them into the lime light.
Now as far as ghosts. Like I've said before I grew up pretty strict Christian. There was no coloring outside of the lines. Now someone from outside our religious circle introduced me to the idea of ghosts/purgatory. And how it was brought to me was a spirit was someone who was at peace and went into the light. A ghost is a spirit that has unfinished business in this world (that could be both a good or a bad thing) Now growing up I saw a lot of family members die and the only "religious" thing I ever witnessed was with my grand mother. See she had cancer for as long as I knew her and there was alot of children in the family, but whenever she held one they would cry. One night everyone was with her and all the kids fell asleep in her bed. She died that night. So to me seeing her after her passing was that she was making sure I was ok. But again to me she was a ghost because we helped her pass and in turn she was making sure before she went she helped us. Now maybe it's a matter of definition. Spirit/Spirit, spirit/ghost, demon/haunting (maybe haunting isn't the best word, but I'll go with it).
The thing was even back then, because of what was going on, telling me something isn't real without having a discussion did get push back.
But yeah movie ghosts don't exist.

@@gd229 ok, glad you were following. And there will be things I mention in some vids that I don't in others, partially because I feel it doesn't need to be said and partially because I forget to include everything. I'm also going to approach different bands/different lyrics from different angles. Courtney comes off as much more genuine than someone like Vessel for a number of reasons, so my tactics will change a bit. But at the end of the day, I'm coming from a Christian worldview and want to direct both of them to the gospel.
For the ghost stuff, I'm pulling my info from the Bible. I understand that you and Courtney don't follow it, but it's the foundation of truth, especially for these spiritual issues. The alternative is our feelings or perceptions, but I'm going back a step further to the source/our Creator.
