I have the same box that you have. My slide broke. I called the number that you had listed. I got set up with a guy. Told him what I needed. Sent a picture of the slide. He said he would get a hold of me in 6 days. He called today and said they don't make the part anymore. Wonderful. I went over to lowe's and found on similar to what was in there. I'll have to jury rig a little to get it to work. Good video though. Thanks.
@@alanray4689 I don't have the part number. I went to lowes, and bought a drawer slide. Make sure it's the right length, Adapted it to the drawer on my tool box. So far it works great. I, also called the company. They said they don't make that part anymore. Good luck.
Your voiceovers are...wow. Dude you should seriously be in broadcasting, or on radio, etc. Very soothing yet strong, masculine voice, lots of timbre. I'm jealous, haha.
Great Video Brother! I have bad sliders in at least one of each of my 5 toy boxes and im stopping everything to fix them! Your video has been greatly appreciated!
I have the same issue and called husky. They pretty much gave me the run-around and then never sent the drawer slides. I ordered some universal drawer slides but those are going to be too complex to install. I'm going to give them a call again tomorrow
I didn't receive rivets with my door slides.... so you don't know the size? Were they less than an inch all of the rivets I have are an inch and they do not fit would appreciate your advice. Thank you.
I went with the easiest solution, which was to use the stock slides, but I would certainly think one could install other slides if willing to customize mounting holes, etc.
@@HooptieDoodle I just traded my old service cart for the same box and had the same exact issue yours had, but I thought I would just remove 2 of the slides from one of the lower drawers making it 100lb vs 200lb and use it for small organizer boxes. This way I don't have to buy any replacements until I find out if soft xlosing ones would work.
Apparently no one monitoring this site anymore. Lowes/Husky told me that the manufacturer for my particular tool chest didn't make the part anymore. They sent me a picture of a rail next to extended tape measure. Gee thanks right. It seems to be close to the standard 16" rail I found at Home Depot. I'm going to give it a try. But would be nice to know if self tapping or self drilling screws will work in lieu of rivets. I worry about the heads being in the way.
Good luck, I have the same tool box and the top drawer slide broke. Called HD and they are not shipping replacement parts due to COVID-19. Told me to call back in a couple weeks to see if they are shipping. Rep couldn’t give me the part number to search for them myself. Would be nice to have another source.
You must not value your time much if you’re already in to the toolbox 100 bucks I bet it took at least an hour to go pick the box up about an hour to order the drawers slides about an hour in refurbishing it could have went and bought yourself a brand new one for all the time and effort and money put into the old one, i assuming your boyfriend won’t give you and allowance
Gotta love UA-cam. I have the same Husky box with the same slide problem so thanks!
I was about to buy a new toolbox because of this

I know this an year-old post, but would you still have the part number? Mine crapped out tonight. Thanks

@@geraldschulz6436 I mean honestly that might be for the best, why get the slides from the same company if the originals were crap?

Thank you, I mean [changing voice to low tombre] THANK YOU
😀👍
Excellent presentation! No fluff! Thanks!
Thanks bro really appreciate the step by step walk thru 🤝👍🏼
Have same exact cabinet; probably overloaded top drawer with sockets and related items; nice video. Thanks

Thanks for the tutorial...I have the same model and the same thing happened to mine a few years ago and I have just started to address this.
i have the same box which ones did you end up going with the dtc35003 or dtc35004?
Very helpful. Thanks for the video.
great simple video! Thanks

Nice, great video,. I had some concern about my tool chest. Quick question what was the rivet sizes you used?
The rivets came with the drawer slides, I don't recall what size they were.
I didn't receive rivets with my door slides.... so you don't know the size? Were they less than an inch all of the rivets I have are an inch and they do not fit would appreciate your advice. Thank you.
Excellent. Thanks. This will save me from buying a new tool chest
Same problem since first day. Thinking of just buying universal ball bearing slides and riveting them!
No rivet gun, could you use self tapping screws...or if new holes, self drilling? I worry about the head of the screw.
Nice job.
"How do I organize this?"
Call Purple Heart!
Great job. Peace and God Bless
Hi, where did you order the drawer track slides ?
Hey. I have same box and same issue. Husky (Homedepot) cant figure out right slides. Was there a part number or anything referenced on yours? Thanks
At 1:00 in this video it shows slides with part numbers. However, it depends on the age of your cabinet and these might not work for yours.
Where'd did you get the slides? I have the same box and same drawer is crapped out
does any one know where he ordered them from?
Husky customer service. It's in the video and the description
.... riveting video, thnx......
Nicely said 👍😀
Thanks dude.
The part doesn’t come from Husky, it’s a third party company. I have this same box, same SKU #. I need help locating the part.
Now ya gotta Gordon sticker off it... Bwahaha
Great job
Do youbknow if any other slides are compatable like self closing or soft closing?

The soft close will work but they hold half the weight of the stock ones
Did they send you aluminum or steel rivets? Just curious
I don't recall...
I would like to know where did you get sliders or rails please let me know and great video by the way thanks

Cant any slide get installed?
Will these parts work with kobalt?
what size rivets?
i cant find that slides. Anyone have luck finding them??
For the love of life I can not find the aluminum drawer pull's?
The china kids that build it are thankful for your upcycle
Where did you order the new slides from
Husky customer service: 1-888-434-8759
@@HooptieDoodle That is not Husky customer service. It is Home Depot where they will put you on hold endlessly and then hang up.
Help! Where did you get replacement slides? Can’t find anywhere
@@chriscarley3323 You might be better off finding some aftermarket that can be adapted. Home Depot customer service is useless.

Why not just get better slides somewhere else? It almost seems like Husky purposely makes cheap slides to sell you expensive slides down the line
How much were the drawer slides?
I have a husky box where 2 of the drawers wont stay closed.. trash
Same and they don’t lock
U should have drilled the hole thru the slide where the drawer hole was. There's 2 rivets for a reason
$45 bucks per slide is a rip off. I have 4 husky boxes and they are junk compared to US General. I wont be buying or fixing any husky junk.
