I appreciate the fact you got straight to the point instead of giving shouts out to your grandmother and great grandsons and then given expert advice on finger position and then telling everybody how great your day is and how beautiful the weather is and then giving shouts out to miscellaneous fake sponsors
Very helpful! Had a packet of screws fall down behind the drawer and was impossible to get to any other way. What was promising to be a very frustrating evening was resolved in just a few minutes. Thanks!
Had a husky toolbox in storage for 8 years and some of my tools were missing. Found out that they were just in the bottom of the toolbox behind the drawers.. Thank you!
Thanks Ted! I decided to move this out of my shed and into my basement for easier access and had to do it on my own. Removing the extra weight of the shelves was a tremendous help thank you so much for posting this!
Thanks so much for sharing what you learned Ted! I just got something stuck behind a drawer and cannot close it up. I knew someone would be sharing! Thank you!!
Big Thanks. If I owned the company I would have some kind of placard on the cabinet for the day this was called for. So many companies just want to market their product and get it out the door without seeing things thru their customer's eyes.
Thank you for saving me time. I just had a tool get jamb in the bottom drawl... I almost started to get pi$&@! I then quickly went to you tube, searched and your video came up first. I have now spent more time typing you these kudos then it took me to get the thing opened and recover my too. You are the man today! Thank you!!!
Thank you, I would have never thought to go up with one lever and down with the other. Piece of cake when you know the secret combination you saved me hours on the phone.
Yaaayy!!! I am a girl but I just LOVE my bright red husky tool chest that I treated myself to more than a decade ago. But, HORRORS!! The other day I opened one of the bottom drawers and took something out that I needed but then I couldn't get it closed again!! I pushed. I pulled. I pleaded with it. I knew it could not have anything to do with a lock issue. I watched your video and decided to follow your instructions and VOILA!!! After I removed the drawer and put it back in, it worked just as it always has. Thank you very much. A very useful video. (And, I just want to say thanks to Google, too, because at moments like this, I realize that without YT I would still be pushing and pulling on that tool chest drawer.) ^.^
Thanks, Ted! I had a bantam chicken jump in one of the drawers of my box and somehow it closed... Texas summer days later I discovered it, dead. I tried to remove the drawer to clean out the nasty carcass, but was stumped and barn was 1000 degrees, so I left it and forgot about it (drawer open). Today, still 1000 degrees, I went in the barn and detected the scent of death once again. I sniffed around until I ended up back in front of the toolbox. The drawer that I had left open was once again closed. Opened it to find ANOTHER dead bantam chicken sitting beside the other one. Talk about a damnit moment! That is what got me to your video, looking how to remove the tray to remove now two dead bantam hens :(
Thanks a lot for this dude! We have one of these and something fell into the slot behind it, so we had to google this. Thanks for giving a good answer!
wow that was easy i was about to drill out the rivits and bend the tabs out to get my two 9/16 wrenches that fell down between the drawer and the inside of the box. i got lucky a few times where it landed in the next drawer but eventually they both fell to the bottom . on mine you press down but still thank you saved this one handed guy alot of agervation
Roger Cimon, by now I hope you've long solved this but mine was a little different too - smaller plastic tabs, pull both our as far as they go, with pliers, then the drawer comes out. Not one up, one down as described here. But it was close enough i figured it out.
Thanks, I got one and I lost one of my extensions in the back, it’s been there for a few days, I flipped it around, many times with the drawers open and shook it and it never came out.
I got mine into the truck bed fully loaded, probably not the best idea. Now I really don't want to try to take it out of there fully loaded. Going to try this wish me luck
I did push one lever up ( left ) and the other one down, no way I can pull out the drawer. Even tried the opposite, for some reason it is impossible on my chest to clear the inner part of the rail ( slider ). ??? My unit is pretty much the same as the one you have, just the new 27 inch tool chest cabinet model, the one with 4 drawers. If anyone can help, I would really appreciate.

Even after 9 years your video is still helping people out. Thank you sir!
An additional 2 years later it is doing the same.
10 years and still solving problems. Great video.

After spending more than an hour rotating my mobile tool cart to get keys that fell behind the drawers, your video helped fix it.
Was just given two of these for free. And was losing my damn mind. You’re the man!

Awesome man thanks it saved me from having to take all the tools out to move my tool box
Thank you. Tried 15 minutes to figure it out. What the hell did we do before the internet? Why did I have to be born in 1944?
I was about to rip my drawer of my toolbox. Thank you for saving it.
I hope this tip works on a bigger Husky tool box in Nov. of 2022. I'll check it out bright and early in the morning...

You are welcome.
Thank you Ted.
Thank you this saved my Saturday 😂😁
Awesome! Thank you so much!
FYI - *2021 chest* Right side down, Left side up, just pull the drawer out. The tabs themselves do not pull out.
On older Husky Limited Edition drawers, each side goes in the opposite direction. One side up, one side down. Don't let it get to you.
good info! Thanks
Thank you sir ,very helpful !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got mine into the truck bed fully loaded, probably not the best idea. Now I really don't want to try to take it out of there fully loaded. Going to try this wish me luck
Thank you! I think that the tabs on my drawers went the opposite way.
Thank you very much!
