- In this video I’ll show you how to replace the rear Wheel Hub Bearing on a Lincoln MKX AWD or Ford Edge AWD. The hub bearing was stuck in the spindle, so we had to remove the spindle to hit the hub out from behind. We also replaced the broken ABS Sensor.

soo do people just neglect the front bearings I cant find a video anywhere
Is this MKX all wheel drive? Not sure it makes a difference in changing out a bearing, but thought I'd ask.
Yes AWD
There is a hub removal tool that bolts to hub face using the wheel studs (it sticks out about 10") and then you strike the end of it with a sledge hammer.....Our shop has never had it fail to remove even the worst of them. they are pretty cheap and last a lifetime.
Thanks for the tip 😎
Before you use the hub shocker tool, do you need to support any of the suspension? Not sure whaling away on it with a sledge is a good idea without some sort of support to protect the rest of the suspension? I have access to a hoist, so car will be up in the air.
@@macker0077 Good point, yes a stand directly under the control arm as far towards the ball-joint as you can get.
