Hell he is considered one of the all time greats even without suiting up in the NHL. And that is pretty rare. I'd imagine there are quite a few players who never left Sweden(just as an example) who probably could have been point a game players. But for whatever reason they decided to stay home. I mean probably not a hardship, top tier athletes don't have to worry about paying rent no matter which nation they play in, and not everyone is suited to living in a new culture. The language barrier can be hard. Trust me on this....I live in Quebec, and I knew about 10 french words when I moved here. But anyone with more than a passing interest in hockey recognizes his name right? No one knows who Sven Mc Sweederson is. Never mind that he could have played on any NHL team if he wanted.
Mogilny, Fedorov, Konstantinov, and Kozlov have the most insane stories. A Soviet doctor lied about Kozlov needing some special emergency surgery and sending him to a country where he could defect from
i think he is saying truth ....situation in Soviet Union 1989 - 1992 was terrible ......Moscow was on the brink of starvation ...country buncrupted ...they needed " so call new democratic system ".....so I wont be suprised if Tretyak stolen goalie equipment........about Krutov .I totally agree ,he was just not ready for capitalist country ,eating hambuegers ,drinking beer ... @@jerryczech953 I live in Russia, in a provincial town, in the 1980s and 1990s I attended a children's sports school, and we were given hockey uniforms for free. I think it's just the self-titled "Larionov", cowritten by Igor Larionov, Jim Taylor, and Leonid Reizer. Came out in 1990 and it looks like his only book, so that must be it. Can get it on Amazon for $6-10 👍
Never though a silly video about 1980s hockey would actually secretly be one of the best social commentaries about the failures of communism on UA-cam.
You also forgot to add that Krutov chomped while eating, hiccupped and belched after eating. In addition, it was necessary to clarify that Krutov had unpleasant sweaty palms and he incorrectly placed commas in sentences. Nice video, really (although it's very similar to a hate speech and a boorish excess, as if someone is looking for trouble, but still nice), just right for those burger-eaters who find it funny when the characters fart loudly in movie and computer games. That's a recognizable unique feature, moreover, that's the level, the style, the mannerisms.
This series has great stories but they take far too long to get into them. One minute in before anything is said, going to lose a lot of viewers. Cute enough opening but cut the crap

These are so entertaining. I had the pleasure of meeting Mr Burke . Class all the way
I absolutely love this series
"Burkie, buy the book" incredible
These are incredibly well done; love the animation and the weird stories.
Haven't heard the ICQ "uho!" in a long time.
Nostalgia.
You should’ve had Chris Chelios riding the bike in the sauna

This series should be available in it's entirety on a collection dvd or something lol what an incredible series!!

BRILLIANT!!! So happy you’re doing these!
need a full one just on Igor
Sweet one I haven’t heard. My favourite thing on UA-cam. Please keep ‘em coming
Brian Burke is a legend and very entertaining
that was awesome keep em coming
It's kinda hilarious when tarasov steals everything while funky cold Medina is playing in the background
Man.. imagine if Tretiak actually played in the NHL.. would he have been one of the all-time greats? Very possible.

The closest he got was when he was brought on as a goaltending coach in the early 90s with Chicago.
Tretiak is already considered one of the all-time greats as-is. Ken Dryden had a very high opinion of him as a contemporary competitor.
Love hearing grabo in this one! Still one of my favorite leafs!! 🇧🇾
Miss that red haired rocket
These are so great!
The stories about how the Sabres got Mogilny over here were INSANE.

How the Habs got Svoboda.
Indeed. The amount of risk involved (for Mogilny) really cannot be understated.
And how the Nordiques got the Stastny Brothers over too
Wow a Fredericton express jersey havnt seen one of those for a very long time.
Love the ICQ "uh-oh!" incoming message notification on this video!

McKenzie with the margarita is so fitting given his drunk & disorderly arrest earlier this month.
So according to Burke, you're not a thief as long as you want the stuff. Brilliant legal/ethical mind at work here.
Also it sounds like Taylor hall is picking up jeff mareck on a dating site in the commercial.
Hilarious.
