I gotta tell ya, when I think 'technological revolution in the NHL', Brian Burke is not the name that leaps to mind. And yet, I'm not at all surprised.
This is not true. The internet was not available to the public until 6 August 1991. And even then, there were not the browsers like we have today. I think he means they did a peer to peer connection via modem over the phone lines and delivered a file.
@@jakobclark2517 you can clearly hear two people having a conversation. Does them speaking in another language bother you? Or what are referring to exactly? I don't understand what the purpose of your reply is.
So no one knows the difference between the '1955 Chevy Impala' and an illustration of a 1958 Chevy?? They didn't have Impalas in '55. Fun videos anyway.
God out of all of the things in these videos that Chrysler van out of all of the deals and blah blah blah just anything else that you can think of those Chrysler vans was the true downfall. I can't even mention the fact too that the wood paneling just..
I love these stories but I have to say Dave Nonis would not have found you that 55 Impala as the Chev Impala started in 58. I think Burkie meant a Belair instead of impala what every still love the stories!
I went to Pat Quinn and said, "We don't have $8000 to spend on laptops just for scouting Pat" and he said, "No problem, I'm on the the phone with Bobby Clarke and the 1975 Flyers and they're going to get those laptops for you, after that the long distance charges are yours eh."
These are awesome. even though i disagree with Burke most of the time about hockey today the history and stories are great. Dont let algorithm get you down they will pick up more views soon. Should try to make each like 9-10 mins if possible. (better for algorithm and really i just want more)
I love these guys.. Between the stories and the animations, it's all fantastic.. And Burkie.... oh man there's a trove of wonderful stories to be told.

Love to see people repping the Bridge City Bunch backpack

Those thousands were pretty, wish they'd bring em back!
Love that Chrysler van from back in the day!
Yes ! The attention to detail in these animations are fantastic
These are so amazing, the blend of animation, music, and storytelling just mesh so nicely.
The download speed was accurate for a 56k modem. 5.61 kb, that's not too shabby. You'll get a medium quality mp3 in 45 minutes.
I just discovered these, and I'm addicted. I guess I need to buy Burke's book now.
I can't be the only one cracking up from that dial-up internet imitation by Burkie am I? LOL
There was no internet in 1989.
More people need to watch these and like this videos
Not sure I'd trust what a lawyer says when it comes to the truth but it sure makes for great stories...
Revolutionary stories
Who is that guy with Burkie's voice that is smiling all the time?
Saskatoon Blades represent
Love these, don't get why the views are so low.
They need to plug these on the air more.
Because hockey’s so damn poorly marketed it sucks
Because people strongly dislike BB

Pat Quinn didn’t know to get to the arena? Amazing! I love Burkie’s stories! Hope to see more on here
The concerned Bettman in the background kills me lol
Good to see Randip Janda in the ending. Classy guy, super talented.

Keep it up!
Now that he has the Penguins job, are these going to continue?
I doubt it.
I wanna know how much the scouts were getting paid at the time. Compare that to the laptop cost.
This is fantastic guys! Fabulous job and Kudos to the artists!

It’s OK you spent $8000 on laptops and spent less than 4000 on a goalie it worked out fine all you do is raise the ticket price is $.10
