Now that is indeed one awesome little stove there brother! Excellent review and demo 👍 Very cool that you got to enjoy a bit of lunch with your daughter as well 👍 Cheers my friend!
As a kid 55 years ago I had one of those stoves used for camping. We used kerosene in it. It worked good as a stove and a tent heater (small tent). For cooking we just used a aluminum mess kit pan.
Aw, Sadie… Don’t hide your smile! It’s beautiful! When I was in second grade, an older girl than I had braces…I thought they were so awesome…truly. Just be confident you’re gorgeous and smile freely!
Those stoves have been used for more than a hundred years for heating Sad Irons for ironing clothes. They are commonly found in antique shops in the States and usually are less than $75. I have several including a double one.
Not my price range, but the idea of a flame lamp with cooking ability is quite appealing. Sitting in the front of a bell tent around such a cooking lamp, talking and cooking dinner… But also at home, a session of an armchair roleplaying game (similar to better known tabletop roleplaying games, just with emphasis on telling a story, not on miniatures fighting on the table), combined with a slowcooker meal when the party gets hungry, or maybe just Raclette… Waiting for the not limited, cheaper standard edition, or maybe for a competitor. But no big deal if nothing in my price range ever shows up, it’s something I would like to have, but not really something I need.

Hello, Thank you for the great review. I was really hesitant about this item. I had seen a different review where there was a lot of smoke. But after seeing your excellent review, you covered all my questions, and now I really want one. Thanks again.
Too much smoke is generally user error. Proper wick trimming (a very shallow "V"), height adjustment, and high-grade (K1) kerosene will minimize, not eliminate, smoke and odors.
Good video. Thouswinds has the same stove for considerably cheaper. Down side is that they dont offer the criddle. Several Chinese sites list them for under $100, if you trust ordering thru them.
@marcoshernandez1427 Well in fact it isa not the "same stove". The ThousWinds version is made from 304 Stainless Steel and while it is a good material, it is NOT cast Iron and will not generate the kind of heat you would get from the cast iron version. beautiful, its like a table top fireplace, what a huge flame! definitely great for vintage lovers like me, this goes back a long way, I think around the 1880s or so, it was used to heat old clothes irons, (old ones didnt use electricity, just a solid block of metal heated over a fire), or for boiling a small pot for tea, but its definitely strong enough to cook up some serious chow

Looks nice like a soapstone wood heater. I have had an old GI M50 single burner stove and the integrated 2 pan carrying system. This "Tanker Stove" is 70 years old. It will burn white gas, naphtha, mogas, diesel fuel, probably Ron Rico 151 (a waste of good drinking booze though). For car camping the weight wouldn't really matter but ounces equal pounds when you carry it. I think that I'll stick with my Coleman single burner. If it needs repair I can send it back to Coleman and for $50.00 it will come back running like you just bought it. Soup, eggs, bacon, fried spuds in a cast iron skillet. If I need light I'll use my candle lantern light
is there some way to pack it into a stanley lunchbox or find one just a little bit smaller than that? I would love to use one of these as the stove in my travel tea set, that I keep in a stanley lunchbox, but i'm worried it's just a smidge too big
Does the wick last a long time? Is it difficult to replace? Do they sell wicks separately? I thought it was very nice. I suppose you must keep a window cracked if it's in your home or car, or tent?
I have received two wicks from a special offer on their website. It is not advisable to use them at home or in an enclosed space due to the potential risk of carbon monoxide poisoning.
In fact this is a very nice furnace with high BTU rating. If they made this out of aluminum or low plate steel it would be an alternative to a foldable woodstove. If it burns 6-12 hours on 1 liter it is the best option ever. You got a heater, cooker and light.
This is an outdoor stove, I can't recommend using it inside a camper van, please don't. I only recommend unscented lamp oil, it doesn't have any smell.

You just made me wanna buy one!😊
I want one ! I did look them up those I have seen a quite expensive I was surprised by pricing. When I find one at a more reasonable price I will get one but not 300.00 US
Looks nice like a soapstone wood heater.
It’s a cool stove, but I think I would rather have the nomad view medium for the same price
A cool rainy night would be perfect with the little stove. I would probably leave it on, well after supper 🤗
Sounds great!
How much soot do you think this will generate on canvas tent above? My white gas ( Kerosene ) stove would blacked the bottom of pots.
is there some way to pack it into a stanley lunchbox or find one just a little bit smaller than that? I would love to use one of these as the stove in my travel tea set, that I keep in a stanley lunchbox, but i'm worried it's just a smidge too big
Not sure if you commented on it - but how much heat does it throw off if on a cool fall/summer night?
Are the wicks easy to get hold of
Thanks Dude I learned something today
Glad to hear it
How much heat you think it gives off do you think it would keep a campervan warm during winter in UK
Cool stove! $125 American on TEMU!!!
Bloody wonderful!
Unfortunately, I already have everything I need for power outages, car camping, canoe camping. 😭
@@ianbruce6515 You never have everything You "need"in the Outdoor Hobbys !!!😂😇😉😉😉
How beautiful!
Can you buy or does it come with extra wicks
I’ve just seen this stove for the first time thanks to you mate… I’ve now liked, subscribed and also ordered one with accessories! 🤣
Awesome! I hope you like it as much as I do! Welcome to the channel!
where did you buy one?
@@veganaoeltschwinnerwell’s Australian website.
Got it pretty quickly too.
@@NoName-ds5uq i didn t found it in sweden ;-)
Does the wick last a long time? Is it difficult to replace? Do they sell wicks separately? I thought it was very nice. I suppose you must keep a window cracked if it's in your home or car, or tent?
I have received two wicks from a special offer on their website. It is not advisable to use them at home or in an enclosed space due to the potential risk of carbon monoxide poisoning.
Imagine sitting in front of it in a power cut (I believe you guys call it a power outage 😊), with the flickering flame casting shadows on the walls. 😎
My only wish is that you used a thermal gun on the grill, front, and sides to see what the temps were...
Can't be that limited look online they are for sale everywhere but 400 you can get a lot more stove for the money!!!
How long does it burn on low when you fill the lamp oil to the fullest capacity?
In fact this is a very nice furnace with high BTU rating. If they made this out of aluminum or low plate steel it would be an alternative to a foldable woodstove. If it burns 6-12 hours on 1 liter it is the best option ever. You got a heater, cooker and light.
How about the smell? If used in a camper van do you thing it will have strong smell from burning the oil?
This is an outdoor stove, I can't recommend using it inside a camper van, please don't. I only recommend unscented lamp oil, it doesn't have any smell.
