- This is by far my favorite Tacoma build to date. The attention to detail, tastefulness of design, function, and quality is absolutely perfect in every way. Whenever I see any kind of build, there's usually at least 1 or 2 things I would change, but this truck is just perfect. Walt and his crew at Tactical Application Vehicles builds the cleanest trucks around, hands down, and I don't say that about everybody. Go check them out if you're unfamiliar.

Saw this build at expo west. One of the top 3 best Tacomas I've ever seen. Such a sweet build!
Became a TAV fan when I happened to drive by the shop after picking up a cerokoted rifle. They had a built Tundra out front that I stopped and looked at. Amazing machines!
TAV's builds are insane, so well thought out! I can only dream. The only thing I would change about this build...the name on the title and registration to my name.
I blame him for my recent LP9, and Method wheels purchase.

Great vid. No awkward silence, just straight to the point, asking questions. That is a sweet build. Cool how you can use stock items or just jerry rig something form other vehicles. like the Tacoma and 4 runner. So many DIY stuff out there that look expensive but if you use a little ingenuity, everything works out. I met a chick headed up there. I unfortunately was heading to work. Incredible build. The one burning question I have is how many mpg it gets. I love long trips in remote places and gas mileage is a big issue.

You have the Landcruiser 70 series. Which we want and we don’t have.
TRD Sport did not come with the rear locker and the TRD OR did not come with the long bed. It's not a sport or and OR it is just a base SR5.

Um yeah, no..those cv angles are not low and straight. Awesome build though for sure! Even though these military wannabe operators at TAV take themselves a little too serious.
Glad you dig the build! It's killer for sure. But I'd do a little more homework before you come to those conclusions.
So the name of their company is “tactical applications”…what exactly is so tactical about these builds? Are they sending them off to Syria?
@@thecatch83 You're not wrong. Those cv angles are FAR from straight. It's one thing I always pay attention to when I look at lifted Tacoma's on 35's or 37's. These ones do have some angle to them. Nothing worth losing sleep over though :)
Sorry . I think that was hour shepherds. They are in training specifically for events like that now. One is a failed policed dog but still tells me where the drugs are every time
