If I saw that lamp in a thrift store, I probably would have passed right by it. Your transformation is amazing! And as much as I love stained wood, the paint on your dresser is so much better. I love watching your videos. Both IOD patterns are so pretty. Since my grandma loved blue so much, I’ll choose the indigo pattern.
I have been a fan of the English cottage for years, decorating my living room in this style. I love that you are showing how to incorporate this look into other areas in my home. I also am a fan of Jane Austen and that genre of books. I love the rose print since those are the colors that I use to decorate. Please keep on showing this style. I am sick and tired of the blah colorless look of modern farmhouse style. Love your channel!!
Sherry I am inspired by your ability to redecorate a room with thrifted finds. I also love the idea of using an object as inspiration instead of a mood board. I have never been good at using one either. I love the indigo IOD transfers.
My youngest daughter (8 years old) and I love watching your channel together. She's excited about trying to win the " ROSE IOD ". May God bless your day!
My eleven year old daughter now has a new catch phrase that she (and myself) love saying, "Let's get started!". We watch your videos every Tuesday 😊. She just said she would like to redo her room (hee hee)! She picked the Rose IOD. Thanks for sharing all your ideas.
You are so brave to redo an already beautiful room with a new style! Plus tear apart and repaint accessories and furniture. I need to get over my fears and you have inspired me to do so. I adore the blue IOD paint transfer and already have a project in mind for it.
So loving this. Love the reading nook and the butterfly prints!! Would love the indigo IOD. I am so excited every Tuesday to watch your video, makes my day!!
So love your re-do!! You are an inspiration to all of us DIYer's. I see nothing wrong pulling colors from a plate, which is beautiful!! Hard decision on the IOD's but Really like the indigo floral. Can't wait to see what else you accomplish in next weeks video. :)
I was really into your "before" bedroom, but I can't wait to see what the room looks like after! I do cross stitch (samplers and sort of farmhouse prim, mostly) and that needlepoint floral pillow with the sort of Aubusson style had me going 😍! I would love the Rose Chintz. I bet a nice antique sampler would go perfectly with the English cottage style!
I absolutely looooove English cottage. When you picked up the “ugly lamp” I saw the potential immediately. Loved it. Can’t wait to see the end result. 🙏🏻❤️
Hi Sherry, you're an inspiration and a genius when it comes to decor, I love the indigo floral, I think you can't beat shades of blue, can't wait to see the finished project, I'm currently painting an all white inner hallway, the realisation that I won't have to 'cut in' is making it bearable, colour will be provided by art work etc., love your channel, greetings from Ireland xxx
This was wonderfully inspiring! I love the idea of basing a room makeover on a particular item. The ugly lamp definitely offended me before the makeover :-) But wow, what a turnaround. The ornate blue trim of the lampshade pulled it together beautifully - definitely a lesson in looking to improve an item rather than simply buying something new. Can't wait to see the complete room - I have total reading nook jealousy, too :-) Sending admiration for your skills from the UK.
I love this room makeover. The plate is beautiful and makes a great inspiration piece. Love everything you've done so far and can't wait till next week's video. I also have a window behind the bed, it is a single window and the only one in the room, the only thing I could come up with is a curtain panel on each side and sheers in the middle to give the appearance of a larger window, another option might be a faux window on each side of the window to make it look larger. Thank you for sharing ❤
Love the Indigo IOD patterns. Your bedroom is going to be beautiful when finished! Love the color palette and your idea of using a plate to design the whole room!❤️
Rose IOD... As always Sherry, you make everything seemingly effortless beautiful. I loved the little bench. Who'd have "thunk" the little are would turn out so cute. I look forward to Tuesdays... just so you know. :-)
I love Tuesdays because of you, Sherry. I love the new reading nook. The spindles make all the difference. I am jealous of all your closet space! Yay for butterflies. I love that look. That lamp can't count as the one ugly thing in the room, because you transformed it. And, I love what you did to your dresser. What if you somehow made that window into an art piece? Maybe a bad idea, but if anyone can do it, it is you. I can't wait to see you next week. Blessings to you.
Thank you, Mrs. Patti! I thought about mentioning that the two large closets are mine and the slightly smaller one next to the bathroom is my husband’s!😜
Mrs. Patti’s comment made me realize that I failed to mention in mine how much I love the dresser makeover too! I was thinking along the same lines as far as the window, but I’m not sure my thought would work with the overall room style...I wondered how it would look to build out faux window panes all around the actual window using photo frames. The issue would come with what to do with them: just glass, perhaps with a very muted baby blue paint behind just that portion to mimic a blue sky; mirrors; or, if you were feeling really industrious, painting - or wallpapering - a mural behind the new extended portion. I’m not sure I’ve explained it adequately, but it looks great in my head! 😬
This is exactly how I get my inspiration and get everything to work together. I love both of the IOD transfer pieces and either one would go with a different area in my house. Love your inspiration Sherry, Thank you so very, very much for always sharing
I love love the English style.I am 75 and a widow, plan on being a copy cat and making mine as much like yours as I can Love either one and make my my inspiration piece.thankyou for for your time and sharing 💕 Your show.eill take pics when done Thankyoi Jeanne
I’m excited for you! It’s always so fun to redecorate. The IOD roses would be my choice. If you have 2 more wooden blinds laying around, that might frame out that small window over the bed beautifully. Can’t wait to see the finished project, I’m sure it’s going to be gorgeous, like everything you do.
One more comment...the butterflies !!! Love them. The extra step of using cloth really exemplifies the beauty. Thank you Sherry. Great inspiration. Hugs💞
LOVE your idea of using thrifted and home items for your makeover! I am currently cleaning thrifted pictures/frames to use for a French Country look. Your use of the IOD transfers and fabric gave me wonderful ideas!!!! Thank you! The Indigo IOD would work well with French Country!!! LOL!
Sherry, That was such a treat to see more of your home and I love the Kitty popping in🐈! Can't wait to see the whole room come together I am sure it's gonig be warm and cozy!
I look forward to your videos every Tuesday! You’ve given me so much inspiration! As an art teacher for middle school aged children, often my creative well runs dry until Tuesday’s. I would love the indigo paint inlay.
This was a great approach to redecorating your bedroom, and created a beautiful, cohesive color scheme Sherry. Painting the frame gold like the gold rim on the plate was a fantastic idea! Your room already looks lovely and I can't wait to see what you do with the other elements in the room. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Love your cheerful videos that are a wealth of ideas. You cram a lot of information in a short amount of time. I enjoy everyone. Would love the “Indigo IOD”.
Perfect timing for this video for me! I’m re-doing my bedroom on an extreme budget and your ideas are great. I made pics of the blue and white in your remade china cabinet because I have blue and white, too. At 70 I’m starting over!! So, I’d love the indigo package!
Thank you for the inspiration! I intend to do a bedroom redo when my older son moves out this Spring. Loved your idea of the plate as an inspiration object. Your window seat is so inviting! One thing you can do with the needle point (instead of a pillow, make a footstool cover..I love mine!). Oh, for the drawing: the cottage rose IOD for me. -Leslie
Hello Sherry!!! Oh, your bedroom is going to be beautiful!!! As for the small window behind the bed, maybe you can raise the curtain rod all the way up and have two mirrors (you decide what shape would look best) flanking the window (one on each side). Then leave the new curtains open like you have now. Not sure if this would work but it’s an idea ☺️. Have a wonderful day 😁.
Your bedroom is turning out sooooo gorgeous 🥰🥰🥰. I absolutely LOVe how the painting ca e out on your dresser ❤️❤️❤️. I would love the Rose IOD paint inlays, you have motivated me to finally get my master bedroom decorated👍😍😍😍. Thank you soooo much for sharing all your amazing ideas and the process you go thru to get your end results💕💕💕
I love how you designed a room off of that beautiful plate! Sherry everything is so wonderful ❤️❤️❤️ I have a butterfly thing also a tree thing but I absolutely Love those Butterflies.
Oh Sherry!! Your bedroom is looking fabulous so far, excited to see all that you do next week and the reveal. I'm so lovely this English Cottage look, I may need to make one of our guest bedrooms over. I too have removed my fair share of wall paper and don't want to do that again (my poor fingers still feel the steam burns), love your take on the wallpaper. Loving the "Rose IOD" inlay.
Thank you, KIm! Oh, my goodness. The wallpaper in this house had SO MUCH paste behind it. Once the paper was off, it took even longer to get all the glue off of the walls. So messy!
Sherry, I’m loving your take on “inspiration”, I as well could never truly find myself doing over a room with an inspiration board. The English plate provided all the needed “color” design we have when we know our direction. You truly have been my inspiration within my home of 48 years. My inspiration is English Countryside, I have a perfect idea for the “Indigo” IOD. Looking forward to the bedroom completion (are we ever truly completed)?
This is really coming together so well, you must be thrilled with your "experiment" so far! Cant wait for the next and final instalment of your room makeover. xx
This is absolutely gorgeous! I have so many IOD transfers. I DON’T have IOD paint inlay transfers and would really love the blue "Indigo Floral IOD" ones please. Thanks in advance for picking me! I've been inspired to do an old dresser! Gorgeous!
Rose, rose, the lovely beautiful rose please. I wanted to say you are so inspirational for me. I am a new subscriber so I get to watch you every night after a long hard day. my art skills have come alive with in me again after being dormant for so long.Thank you for being you.
OK Sherry, let's talk about the bed placement. Unless you are trying to stay with Feng Shui furniture placement, I would suggest that you place the bed and accessories on the wall where the revamped dresser is. I love the dresser makeover, but feel it could be better placed in a different area, possibly under the window. I love the IOD pictures with gold trim. Let me just say that you had me at the first closet. I would so love to have that many closets in my bedroom. These suggestions are strictly an idea, since you asked. I know that you will do what is right and beautiful for you. Looking forward to the final reveal. Have a great week. TFS
Omg. How beautiful. I have been trying to find a style for my bedroom. Love the English style. The iPod package for. Me would be the enlist rose. So pretty. Blessings
Good gracious, I was going through some of my DIY you tubers😀 And ran across yours! WOW! I love your pretty plate inspiration?/💡ideas. Such a simple yet brilliant DIY for a theme to redo a room!!! I am needing to do a big makeover for my new craft room. As I have gone through several different rooms in our little A Z. Mountain home😉 I need to transform the front room into my craft room. Then make the current craft room back into a bedroom. And do it all on a VERY tight budget😯 Yeah!!! I will be watching 👀you for next Tuesday 's finally😀 Thank you!!! Marlamae
Always love everything you come up with I Love the IOD rose pattern the most. Thanks again for another wonderful craft tutorial. The butterflies were my favorite.🦋🦋🦋
Thank you for another inspiring video of your ideas and processes! As said before, you are amazing! I’m happy IOD made its way to your creative abilities. Your ideas mesh well, with them. I would love to add a new IOD product to my own inventory too! Thank you for the opportunity.
French/English country cottage has been my favorite style all my life ❣️ I read a lot from four on up and the books were mostly fairy tales from Europe and children's books that often reflected that homey cozy English country side in the illustrations . I have collected a few vintage prints from my favorite old childhood books and have them scattered around. For instance , little miss muffet sitting on her tuffet ☺️ your bedroom will be gorgeous 🥰
I love the butterflies. The IOD ones really do look like real butterflies. I can't wait to see what else you are going to do. The plate was a terrific springboard and guide. (IOD Rose Transfer)
oh yes, I think you achieved the look of your inspiration plate. The color and finish of the dresser really worked well with the look. The little window seat is a lovely improvement, the butterflies pictures are very clever... BUT I LOVE the lamp. I like both inlays but I guess if I had to pick I like the indigo floral the best.
I'd love to win the Rose IOD! I love this idea of the plate being your "mood board"... so clever. Those 3-d butterflies are fabulous and as always, thanks for such delightful videos! 💗
I am loving this room transformation. I love butterflies and would love to decorate my bedroom in this style. I would love to have the rose IODs. Can’t wait for your final reveal!
I used an inspiration object when decorating my living room and it helped me make choices I would never have thought of without it. Highly recommend this method!
I always look forward to Tuesdays to watch your videos!! I’m working so much now I didn’t get to watch it first thing this morning. I watched it as soon as I got home. I love the 🌹Rose IOD 🌹 BE BLESSED!!🌻
I have absolutely fallen in love with your channel! You’ve definitely inspired me in my own projects. Would love the Indigo IOD! May God bless you and keep you 🙏
You gave me some incredible ideas! I need to have items in front of me also!! It’s so cozy looking already! Have a blessed and fabulous week! I’d love the Indigo IOD’s, or a chance I meant!😁💫
I love that you choose that plate to use for decorating, years ago I watched a HGTV show and it said to do the same, find something you love, pillow, art, fabric etc... and use all the colors in there to create your space, I have always done that in fact I kept that idea and used it through out our house, just form one item I loved, glad to see someone else using it
Love your master bedroom makeover. I have been wanting to update our 1970's bedroom furniture. Thanks for the inspiration! The indigo IOD prints are my favorite.
Your bedroom is already beautiful, it's going to be stunning when your done !!! Your channel is the best 👌 English cottage decor out there !! Love it !❤ Think the ROSE PAINT INLAY PAPER ! Can't wait to see your next video, I always get a big smile when I get your notications !! Be safe and TFS my dear friend!!🌹❣💖
Oh my goodness it’s gonna be so cute when your done, I see your vision for this room I am so excited to see you work your magic it’s gonna be great……❤️
Sherry you always give more than 100% of yourself to bring us such amazing videos. What a genius idea to base your new look on a beautiful dish. I really loved how the dresser turned out and the butterfly prints and the lovely IOD picture you did with the gold frame. You are very special and I really appreciate all that you do. 🤗 Lindy
Sherry, this is gorgeous and will be tunning in next time. The Chinese style frame is excellent, the clasp is divine. The bedroom is going to be stunning. The lamp transformation is brilliant. Painting over old pictures and renewing them is also recycling, saves money and produces something unique and no one else will have these pieces other than you.
Love the vintage plate as your inspiration piece. The room is looking beautiful and cozy. The entomology pictures turned out wonderful! Both inlays are beautiful, but I think my preference is the Rose IOD inlay. Can't wait to see the rest of the room makeover!
I really enjoyed how you shared the planning process. I always like to know how others arrive at their design decisions as it isn’t always obvious. TFS your great ideas.
Your work is so amazing. I love it. Especially your Dresser. You did an amazing job with that. Can’t wait for the next round. I would love to have the Floral Transfers. TFS. Alice from the Cayman Islands.
Love love love everything. It is always a treat to watch your channel and what you come up with next. If by any chance I would be so blessed to have one of you IODs I would be simply happy with either one. I am mostly fond of the indigo but I would be thrilled to have either. Thank you for all of your wonderful ideas. Be blessed and enjoy living!
The indigo floral is my choice. I recently redone my family room with inspiration from an afghan. I love the colors so I painted over a old painting and made a few boho projects. I enjoy watching you every week, and can’t wait to see your reveal next week.
Love that you chose a plate for your inspirations. That would have never occurred to me! Your room is turning out beautiful, can't wait to see the finished space! I would prefer the Rose IOD.
Thank you for sharing your English country decorating projects for your bedroom! So far everything is spot on. I like the Rose inlays as I love roses! Can’t wait to see more projects and your finished room!

I am sick and tired of the blah colorless look of modern farmhouse style. Love your channel!!

Oh my word...the window seat and converted basket lamp !!! Bravo👏
So sweet💞
My youngest daughter (8 years old) and I love watching your channel together. She's excited about trying to win the " ROSE IOD ". May God bless your day!
My eleven year old daughter now has a new catch phrase that she (and myself) love saying, "Let's get started!". We watch your videos every Tuesday 😊. She just said she would like to redo her room (hee hee)! She picked the Rose IOD. Thanks for sharing all your ideas.
My husband pointed out that I didn’t say “Let’s get started” in today’s video for the first time because I started with the thrift haul. Oops!
@@CanterburyCottage That's adorable that he watches your videos❣
You are so brave to redo an already beautiful room with a new style! Plus tear apart and repaint accessories and furniture. I need to get over my fears and you have inspired me to do so. I adore the blue IOD paint transfer and already have a project in mind for it.
So loving this. Love the reading nook and the butterfly prints!! Would love the indigo IOD. I am so excited every Tuesday to watch your video, makes my day!!

I am so excited to see the total makeover of your bedroom; a lot of work, but, so worth it!
Indigo IOD. Beautiful.

I absolutely looooove English cottage. When you picked up the “ugly lamp” I saw the potential immediately. Loved it. Can’t wait to see the end result. 🙏🏻❤️
The dresser looks amazing but the ugly lamp makeover is incredible. It looks beautiful now. Wow! Would love either print😊
Absolutely beautiful room! I would love the Indigo!
I like your idea of a mood pile...I will try that and I love how the ugly lamp came out! So look forward to Tuesdays with you!
Oh Sherry, I love all your choices. I think the little “ugly lamp” is my favorite.
I love the “Indigo IOD” inlays.
Thank you for sharing.
I absolutely adore these transformations! Looks like a room out of All Creatures Great and Small. Great teaching process too! Love roses.
Agree! That lamp is gorgeous!
I love that lamp and what you did to. It. I also would love the IOD roses. Can't wait till next week to see your bedroom completed.

Love the dresser area! I'd love the Indigo IOD.
the dresser was a major transformation and I loved the staging also. The Indigo IOD would be my pick!

I look forward to Tuesdays to see what your vivid imagination is going to come up with. I would love the Indigo IOD in the blue.
I love Tuesdays because of you, Sherry. I love the new reading nook. The spindles make all the difference. I am jealous of all your closet space! Yay for butterflies. I love that look.

Love the cross stitch, I am always surprised at how inexpensive someone’s hand work is…I’m drawn to it.
Thank you for the inspiring ideas.
This is really coming together so well, you must be thrilled with your "experiment" so far! Cant wait for the next and final instalment of your room makeover. xx
Maybe a black out shade would work--use same color as wall so it will be less noticeable. Looking forward to the solution next week.
Love watching you do your magic in a truly thrifty way! You are a joy to watch and I love your voice….would love the rose iod!
Rose IOD
Can't wait for part 2 💞
OK Sherry, let's talk about the bed placement. Unless you are trying to stay with Feng Shui furniture placement, I would suggest that you place the bed and accessories on the wall where the revamped dresser is. Wall paper inserts on the side of the drawers is a great look and only shows when the drawer is pulled out! Your look is beautiful, love the dresser.
Beautiful remake. IOD indigo
Always love everything you come up with I Love the IOD rose pattern the most. Thanks again for another wonderful craft tutorial. The butterflies were my favorite.🦋🦋🦋
Hi Sherry. I would love the INDIGO IOD paint inlays! Love your channel and creations so much!!!!❤️

Great idea. Keeps things productive and not into that overwhelmed abyss we can sometimes wind up in.Thank you !
Indigo Floral- thank you!
oh yes, I think you achieved the look of your inspiration plate. The color and finish of the dresser really worked well with the look. The little window seat is a lovely improvement, the butterflies pictures are very clever... BUT I LOVE the lamp.
I like both inlays but I guess if I had to pick I like the indigo floral the best.
Beautiful and loved your inspiration. I too have the same issues with inspiration boards. The idea of the plate is wonderful. Rose IOD
Love you’re. decor
I'd love to win the Rose IOD! I love this idea of the plate being your "mood board"... so clever. Those 3-d butterflies are fabulous and as always, thanks for such delightful videos! 💗
Currently recuperating from Covid, I have spent the day watching all your videos. I love everything you do. Thanks for keeping entertained.
I am loving this room transformation. I love butterflies and would love to decorate my bedroom in this style. I would love to have the rose IODs. Can’t wait for your final reveal!
IOD rose. I love everything! Love watching everything you do. Makes me happy to to watch you.
The plate is your mood board. Who said mood boards have to have a whole bunch of images. It’s all lovely and I can hardly wait for next Tuesday.
How fun. I love this style.
I’m so glad cottage is coming back. Indigo blue IOD
I am so excited for you! This is coming along wonderfully. The iod roses would be my choice. Love all you do. ❤
Love them both, but if I had to choose, I choose the rose!🌹 Loved doing this room with you❤️

Love all the dresser turned out beautiful.I would love the indigo IOD.I love your channel
Beautiful!! I just love your style! The rose IOD would be my choice. Can’t wait to see the final results!
I really enjoyed how you shared the planning process. I always like to know how others arrive at their design decisions as it isn’t always obvious. TFS your great ideas.
Love the Indigo IOD, your taste is so similar to mine. Your a repurposer too.
Your dresser turned out beautiful. I like the Indigo IODs best.
Rose IOD. Can't wait to see next week. I love all those butterflies. But the window seat is over the moon. Good job
The indigo floral is my choice. I recently redone my family room with inspiration from an afghan. I love the colors so I painted over a old painting and made a few boho projects. I enjoy watching you every week, and can’t wait to see your reveal next week.
