Why would an officer conduct a welfare check, see bruises on the child, and then question the child in front of the father?!

True. Well usually on a welfare check cops will end up harming or killing somebody, but leaving a child with the criminal or evil. It’s just how they are trained. Cops I think it’s to blame for the child’s dealth as well. If you look at Christopher, the father, he looks just like a typical cop. He just has that smug and emotionless look in his face.

Well allegedly, the first time the mom visit Corey after losing custody, Corey has cut on his lip. He said, his dad smack him because he curse. She file a report, investigated. The father said, he accidentally hit Corey while playing soccer. First case dismissed. I'm no longer surprise.
*Edit: correction, 2nd visit..I just saw a video

I would bet the abuser's dad had direct connections to intercept any charges ; then have the charges dismantled ; in fact, turn the charges around onto the mother.

The officers maybe should be trained to use common sense. If you going to do a welfare check involving a child and u see the amount of bruises poor corey had. That is something to be concerned and talking to the child away from the possible "abuser" is the best way to get the info. This infuriates me because the system is so messed up.

I would bet the abuser's dad had connections to law enforcement & stopped the investigation. Something is Off
