1st Arrival In Phnom Penh, Cambodia - Phnom Penh 1st Impressions
I have arrived in Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia. I arrived here after a short bus ride from Sihanoukvillle in southern Cambodia. My first mission was to get from the Phnom Penh city center to my hotel, which was a bit outside of the center. Then I wanted to visit three different parts of Phnom Penh to get first impressions of Cambodia's capital city. So, in this video we will visit the famous Phnom Penh riverfront, a local area and a new and modern area of Phnom Penh. Join me as we explore this big city and find out what's Phnom Penh, Cambodia like.

I have! 1st and 2012 and now planning to move there next month😊
Pnomh penh tuk tuk drivers are the worst
Some of it is Chinese invested but only a certain percentage. I think up to 50% or 75%, i forgot. But some of it is also Cambodian invested but catered to Chinese tourist, hence the Chinese writings.
China robbed Cambodia, doing crime is it system
@@KenAbroad Yes i watch that video 👍😊
I can't believe how friendly the locals seem! I'm definitely adding Phnom Penh to my travel list. 😊🇰🇭
Welcome to Cambodia, Siem Reap Provide ❤
Cambodia is one of the best countries ever mate!
the worst country I have ever visited in my life 😢
Really?, why? @@redouanwlf2015

People in sea are so kind and friendly. Appreciate that you show this to the world in your vids.
I like it! I think the city is not too busy, does not have traffic jam like other Southeast Asian countries. The people also seems friendly and open toward foreigners. I think you are brave that you can just talk and eat all food without worry getting sick. You are really adventurist.
Nah there is traffic
Welcome to Cambodia, where the smiles are as big as the rice fields and the hospitality is so warm it’ll make you feel like you’re in a big, loving hug from a giant bear!
@ราชันบุสวาวีกาThai people racist toward other nations as usual
@@FRCKitchenwareBathroom I believe they are. That’s just how their country tends to be.
@ราชันบุสวาวีกา The Tai borrowed from the Khmer many elements of Indianized culture, including royal ceremonies, customs followed at the court, and especially the Indian epic Ramayana, which influenced not only literature but also classical dance.
Brother in your country Chinese are scamming with Pakistani, indian and Bangali people's...They invite them to Cambodia on the pretense of a good job and then kidnap them and take them to Burma and demand huge money for their release. Please raise your voice for this issue in your country.

I would say Cambodia has come a long way since the civil war was officially ended in 1998.
The whole country and the infrastructure were destroyed from the prolonged wars.
The country started to develope within the last 20 years from ground zero so you can't compare it to the neighboring countries.
My first returned trip from America to search for my surviving family members was way back in 1995.
Luckly, I was able to locate my sister who still lives in PP City. Most of my family members did not survive the horrific genocide there.
Enjoy your trip. Peace ✌️
Respect, we do not hear that history much out here.. i am a few hours east across the big lake. Cheers, peace.
@@dertythegrower I was only 19 when communist Pol Pot took over the country in 1975. I still have nightmares until now. My sister couldn't bring it up as everyone of them died in front of her from starvation and overworked. She was helpless and tried to survive it herself.
Hopefully the history will not repeat itself. Peace ✌️
@@KhmerMinnesnowta Wow, that is terrible. I'm sorry for the loss of your family members and everything you've been through. I hope things are better for you now.
I have never thought Cambodia has a such modern area… wow
They developed quickly since the pandemic
I visited Phnom Penh ten years ago, thanks to Ken for bringing me back the fantastic memories.

People Are Friendly And Place Safe.
The city of Phnom Penh has definitely been transformed since i last visited twice.Once i entered through Siem Reap after Angkor Wat.Cambodia is a interesting country to explore on the whole.Enjoy your time there Ken.💕🇲🇾
I also got an overall impression about phnom penh from your video. Ken! Great job and interesting experience. Thanks for sharing with us. You can definitely see more and more China's influence in Cambodia nowadays. But Cambodia still maintains some western things, like us currency, due to its colonial history . I noticed the first tuktuk driver whom you met speaks very good English !
It is a county overlooked by UA-camrs for some reason but is so interesting- glad to see your vids!
Yes, I went to phnom penh a few years ago on a visa run from China. I was supposed to stay just a few days but with visa complications I stayed there for just over a week and a half. I was surprised at how many people could speak English and also how friendly they were. I was also surprised at how cheap the hotel was, it was a very nice and modern hotel just next to the river. Someone suggested I stay at that hotel, if I remember correctly it was The Riverside Hotel. The street I stayed in was street 136 which has a lot of bars and nightlife, as did the other surrounding streets nearby the river. I loved the rooftop cafes/bars with a great view of the city. I loved my stay there and always want to return, this time for a real holiday. My visa problem was with the Chinese embassy but I found that getting a visa for Cambodia was so easy, I got mine in just less than 15 minutes when arriving at the airport. I have heard of people retiring there and being very happy with life there especially it being so cheap. I have thought about it, still thinking about it.
Tuk tuk driver is so friendly ❤
Ayoo the tuk tuk was so chill😂😂 u got lucky for sure to get him haha
Welcome to Cambodia 🇰🇭

Beautiful view. like 👍 to go to Cambodia someday .
The four river junction was the Mekong leu, Mekong Kroum, Tole Sab and Tole Basak.
Definitely delicious food
Welcome to south Asian in Cambodia 🇰🇭 brother ❤🎉
I was just about to recommend trying Amok, then next minute you were trying it! Haha.
Go to the Noodle House in Riverside area, their green Khmer fish noodle soup is divine for around $3 a massive bowl (when I was last there).
I went every 2-3 days for the same dish, cos it was SO good!
The noodles are made fresh in front of the restaurant.
It's good to know that you've learnt to eat fish since you came to South East Asia. I remember your first taste of fish while you were in Malaysia.
oh that's 4 years ago, cool that you remember that 🙏
omg the Tuktuk driver is so friendly, I born here, and I will die here in Cambodia lol. he just remind me of my grandpa. I miss tuktuk, used to travel alot when i was young, cant wait to take my kids and husband on Tuktuk when I visit Cambodia this year
Welcome to Cambodia ❤
Thanks 🙏
So inspiring to watch , your video made me want to create travel content too 😍😍 , wish you have a great time here 🙌🏻
Thank you for showing Cambodia
Welcome to Cambodia brother 🤝
អរគុណបង🙏🏻❤️
Thank you for quick review of the Fairfield by Marriott room. I watched the property being built in the Chip Mong building. As a lifelong Marriott member and now a Bonvoy member, I do appreciate the review but I can recommend the Marriott Courtyard as a better option for about the same price. Closer to the city center and a great breakfast buffet. The Fairfield is more for business stays.
Cambodian peple is honest . No scam to tourism❤
There are some tuktuk drivers who just want a bit more money, maybe a few $$. It is not much though. To avoid this, just use Passapp or Grab to book ride hailing.
Deep respect for your persistence to try to speak English with them.
Nice city 👍👍
Welcome to Cambodia 🇰🇭 thank you for your love ❤️ Cambodia you and Me the same creator
Welcome to Cambodia 🇰🇭❤️🙏

The infrastructure of the Country that sincerely cooperates with China is not bad . Cambodia has a very good relationship with China. The King and Queen of Cambodia also live in Beijing for a long time . They say it’s their second hometown . ❤
Here's your 50 cents 🪙
