beautiful for sure, but i disagree with the comparison to Joan Baez, and not because her voice do not worth a comparison like that, just because Joan is not the right paradigm, to me. This young lady as a wonderful voice and her own value, could be compared to various artists (different from Mrs Baez) but, as a first step, i would like to listen to her without comparison and let her get the space she deserve 😊

You have a magical way too with your presence and captivating like I imagine it must have been with other troubadours like Nick, Sandy Denny, Carol King, Taylor Swift (mainly like when she's just playing her guitar or piano or banjo and singing solo...).

i was getting recommended a lot of covers of this song, and while most of them featured technically gifted singing, they seemed to lack something, authenticity is the best word i can think of, but im not quite sure about it, it's like everyone wants to sound a certain way nowadays, they put on this generic "pop voice" and then i set out to find a cover of the song that i actually liked and your cover striked me as something different, fresh and authentic, it's like im really hearing your true artistic self coming from these vocals and from your guitar playing, it's beautiful and it's honestly my favorite rendition of the song, even moreso than the studio version much love, keep being yourself bc you rock

Hey thanks, this song is in an alternative tuning (CGCFCE), so chords based on the standard tuning are not so helpful. I learned it through someone else on youtube sharing a tutorial (I think there are two people who did one when you search for it) and listening to the song itself to understand the rhythm and timing better.
Looking deep and serious and playing Nick Drake tunes can have a detrimental trajectory for your future. Just a bit of advice, but it was nice listening to this old tune from first hearing it 45 years ago!

I hope you don't mind I politely disagree with your point of view. The expression of emotion through music... I find it very liberating. By giving a space for the emotion it can be released and processed better. I appreciate it may have stood out here and one could come to all sorts of conclusions when there is no further context or knowledge about the person or circumstances. I actually never thought about this video finding its way to so many people, though of course when playing a cover by an artist loved by so many, I could have perhaps predicted this being found by a wider audience than the close family and friends I first shared it with. The reasons for uploading a video of my singing for the first time was actually about finding hope and strength in music whilst facing incredibly difficult and painful circumstances. If you would stop by again some time in the future I hope you'll appreciate a wider range of colours and expressions in my music and art. There will be more deep and serious too probably, which is just one side of me I decided to express here. Anyway, good day to you, and thanks for your comment.
