@@jamieman_7914 I ordered a '21 VRS - hoping I don't regret not spending a little extra.... I'm definitely not a professional so doubting the extra spec will make a big difference to me. Hoping anyway...
I think the vitus mythique has really impressed most reviewers for the price. I got a great deal on a GT Sensor but I was considering ordering a Mythique to Canada. The fact that they can get a bike to another continent and still be amazing value is pretty impressive. I think they will struggle with getting enough bikes made this year to keep up with demand.
JayGames From which website would you get the bike shipped to Canada? Cuz I’m also looking to get one but I can’t find one that’s available in stock and I’m not sure which website is trust worthy for shipping.
@@CaseySaibo chain reaction Cycles or wiggle if they ship. Their affordable bikes are selling out within hours when they get stock. Edit. Most years CRC have lots of 20-30 % off sales on their vitus bikes, including the time I made this statement. Now the sales have been around 10%, so it's not the stand out deal shipped. The mythique vr was ~$2000 all in to Canada but now close to $2400.
Pretty nice spec for the price - it's good to see them not cheap out on the tires. And I also like seeing an X-Fusion fork spec'ed on a stock bike even though I don't know how good that fork is. I really liked my 2013 Velvet RL on my old bike - cheap, smooth, and reliable. I think I'd rather them spec a Shimano or Microshift 11-speed drivetrain instead of Sram's SX, though.
yep, I've not ridden this fork either, ridden older 100mm fork but that was some years ago on a Kinesis FF29. Be an interesting part of the test for sure!
Looked at this bike (and a lot of others) ended up with the Lapierre Zesty TR 5.9. I just overwhelmed myself with internet searching and the lack of availability of many of those bikes. Decision made and the bike should be here in a week. Hopefully the right choice. Thanks for the informative stuff. Keep them coming.
I like your reviews. I have been looking for the VRX since it seems to be the best value for what you get and I haven't seen any negative reviews, but all Vitus have been sold out in the United States for awhile. I may have to settle for a Marin or Giant.
Hi,thanks for the video! How is the bike on the road? Do you need to lock it? Does the rear suspension move a lot? How much. I've some tracks around 20km from my home so if it"s gona kill me or not to get there. Or I should go for something more XC to be able to ride on the road or sidewalks :) thanks
Hi! We generally don't test mountain bikes on the road, unfortunately. Though, if you've got a 20km road pedal to get to your trails something more XC focussed with lower profile tyres will offer an easier time.
Just found this channel great review(subbed), I have had my eye on this bike for some time now. Still not sure if it's this one or the $2000(better shock, fork & brakes) one.
Tricky one, will have to see how this one rides. Although I have ridden a set of Marzocchi Z2 forks (albeit shorter travel) as on the more expensive model and was impressed..... Can't argue with the price of this thing though!
Hi Great vid cheers.Looks a great bike. You mentioned that the rear shocks have lock out but the upgraded VRX doesn't !! I assume that having lock out is a plus? Also which wheel size would you recommend ? Cheers
Hi, Thanks! ah yep, looks like that's a Monarch R on the VRX not a Monarch RL. I've ridden this bike a bit now and they rear end doesn't bob much when pedalling, I reckon you'll be fine climbing without a lock out. I haven't used the one on this bike. I prefer 29er for a short travel trail bike as it rolls better over bumps and more efficient over the miles but best have a ride on both wheel sizes and see what suits you best!
I have the 27.5 version. Really pleased with it and it rides as well as my Lapierre. I have no regrets about purchasing the VRS.
Any regrets not going with the vrx?
@@codyshandley Nope. Not the 2020 version anyway. The 2021 VRX looks really sharp.

Great intro and spec review Rachael, looking forward to hearing how it rides!
Will try to get out when I can (Coronavirus etc)!
Very helpful review. Would love to hear your thoughts on the Giant Stance 2 29er. Seems to be a decent spec'd bike also for the money.
From what I remember, Vitis, with their Sentier are often fairly light. Compared to similar priced bikes.

Very true, it does look great value and not many similar competitors for the price and travel.

JayGames damn okay thanks for the info
Take a look at the Fezzari Abaho Peak. 140mm, 130mm. I lines up very well with this bike.
will go - *heads to google* 😁
Just rode my fiends one today very good sup for price I will recommend to buy
Yep, I've seen lots of these on the trails lately, and in this spec too.

Love to see: Specialized Fuse, GT Zaskar, Trek Roscoe 8, Giant Fathom, Sonder Transmitter, Ragley mmmbob.
Can you do a video on the Polygon Siskiu t7. It has very similar specs to this bike.
VRX been out of stock for a while now

Ah that's a shame.... Still Marin make some good value build too
The new Calibre Triple B is tough contender
It is! not tested one but loved the new Bossnut :)
Does this have the same spec as the 2021 version?

Great info......plus how comfy are those lazer impala helmets.like putting on a comfy pr of slippers .love it
haha, yep, it's like a big hug for the head. A little warm at times but looks good and, like you say so comfy!
I would love to see a comparison between Vitus and Nukeproof.
Yep, we'd like to get on some Nukeproof's too - which one do you want to see reviewed?
Great. I believe the Nukeproof Scout 29'er would be equivalent to the Vitus Mythique.
Calibre Triple B is £1500 29er with 140mm travel. These are the two bikes I'm considering 🤔
Triple B is a great shout for us to test. Loved the Bossnut
@@Twongz_does_anything Just 27.5" for the Triple B, I think the tyres are 24"
+1 for BBB

The vrx Isnt’s £2000 anymore it’s £1600 only £150 more than the vrs
Hi where can I buy the bike stand you’ve got there? Tia
Hi, Sorry can't remember the name of it now! It's in the office and we are all working from home at the moment!
off-road.cc is the fork air or coil? Tia
Is it me or do I still see cable outside the frame
Can you please review the Polygon Siskiu T 29er?
Unlikely as it's not a brand that's sold in the UK and isn't seen on the trails ,Marin Is sold in this country which his basically the same bike .
CLICKBAIT NATION and vitus
How does this bike compare to the Norco Fluid FS3?
Not ridden one yet I'm afraid!
I'm looking into this bike for my partner. Mind sharing your height and inseam?
I'm 160cm. I don't know my inseam but I have longer legs than some other girls of a similar height! Rach@off-road

This bike I believe has now gone up to £1800. Ish is this still worth the money
On the Vitus website it still says £1449.99
I think light sidewall tires are tacky, not those on Vitus.
Hey, just purely talking about compound not carcass - check out the info from Schwalbe here www.schwalbe.com/addix-compound/.
is this a women’s bike?
Nope, unisex
off-road.cc do you know anywhere that sells them that are in stock or the cannondale habit 5 or 6 (i have 1.6k ish to spend)
@@luke.franklin5290 No Sorry! I think you are best trawling the internet or finding a local stockist who knows more.
It say 160mm of travel
Fezzari
New to your channel, viewing from the US. Very nice. I might subscribe if you'll give USD prices as well.
Ok, maybe we'll add them in too! Cheers
How would this bike and the Mythique VRX 29 compare to the Calibre Triple B?
Not ridden either but if you can afford it the VRX version looks like a bargain too!
