Why is Miquella considered a villain, while Shabriri is not? Miquella's quest was not for power, but for an Age of Compassion and the removal of the influence of the Outer Gods. While it's true that in the DLC he became little more than a shell of his former self, his intentions were never selfish. He sacrificed everything and became a soulless god to achieve what he believed was a good ending, where his Unalloyed Gold could fend off the Outer Gods and ensure that compassion ruled over the Lands Between. A more valid criticism of Miquella might be that his Age of Compassion would effectively remove free will from the Lands Between, which is arguably one of the worst things one can do. However, I think Miquella didn't fully understand the scope of his plan or the implications of a world devoid of conflict. He wasn’t evil-unless you count the soulless version we fight in the DLC-just incredibly naïve and ignorant of the true power and consequences of his actions. Out of all the characters in the story, Miquella's morality was one of the most upright. His biggest shortcomings were likely his influence over Radahn, who he forced to became an enforcer of his vision of a world without war or conflict-a vision that opposed everything Radahn lived for. Additionally, Miquella's decision to abandon all aspects of himself, including St. Trina, to become a god was definetly a bad decision. As for tricking Mohg, it was completely justified. Had Mohg succeeded in his plans, the outcome would likely have been as disastrous as the Dung Eater’s ending, or perhaps even worse, he worshipped the formless mother and the residents of his palace look like saw trap victims, not even including his murderous blood cult (excluding Ansbach), that was known to kill all manner of life just for their blood.
I feel like a lot of points against Miquella would be less what he was trying to do and more what he did do and what he was really gonna end up doing. Miquella did some bad things for an ultimately bad reason regardless of whether or not it had good intentions at first, and at the end he was just another monster that was devoid of the compassion he sought to bring to the world. Miquella was a failure and his deeds were villainous
Thats the story of many villains. Good intentions, blind to their actions, naive to the consequences of their actions. Just because you sacrifice something or some things, doesn't make you right.
Don't forget that it was Pontiff Sulyvahn who enabled the Deep and Aldrich to gain such power. He was an opportunist who turned his populace into beasts, while also using them to gain control beyond the magic wall of Irithyll to further out his own power. To me Aldrich was just a pawn in Pontiff's plan and Pontiff is the truest villain of the fall of Anor Londo.
One thing I understand from this is that Marika is the only one with proper understanding of the Outer Gods. Ranni blindly trusts their guidance, Miquella challenges them without knowing their potential, but Marika might actually be the only character to take down and replace those gods.
What other villains would you include in the list?

Both Marika and Gwyn rise from basically nothing but Marika's journey seems much more difficult.
Iron Keep's concept art is unbelievably good I wish they remake Ds2 with all the vision they had for it.
Volcano Manor lol
I need some Demon's Souls, Bloodborne and Sekiro villains here
Demon Souls can work
Bloodborne and Sekiro is more difficult but they are possible
Love what you’re doing with your content bro keep it up!
Don’t know how you don’t have more subs, you make very informative, good videos from what I’ve seen.
Thanks for the great video! I have always found the lore of Dark Souls 3 very fascinating.

I liked Marika even more after the DLC.
