Fabio: I can’t believe it’s not Korn
FDA: we have approved Chaosevm as a Korn substitute
I'm listening to this song for the very first time and its very powerful and beautiful. I turn 61 this year and metal speaks to me like no other genre of music. I was a teenager when I first heard heavy metal and love how its transformed over the years. Back them if you'd told me that one day in the future classical and metal would combine into one I'd have laughed at you but along came symphonic metal.
I hope to still be a metalhead when I get to your age ( I'm 37) 🤟🏿🤟🏿🥰🥰
I'm happy for you. If you like it that's great. To be perfectly real tho there is WAAAAAAAY better metal out there.
Some Black metal also does that
If you like metal I want to suggest that three albums by bands that you might be into. These are bands that play a progressive black metal altho they are much more accessible then the majority of black metal. And instead of being "evil" or having lyrics that explore satanic themes or misanthropic topics these three band play unique styles that mix in bittersweet meloncholic sounds and extremely catchy and well written epic sounds. All three break with the traditional type of black metal and instead have a sort of uplifting way of writing songs.
Deafheaven-New Burmuda
Këkht Aräkh-Pale Swordsman
Ghâsh-Goat
@rockk9753 yes! I agree! Black Metal has a much wider range of emotion than most other styles of metal. Some Black metal has everything from epic upbeat and almost Triumphant highs, to atmospheric and moody, to sorrowful and meloncholic longing to raging and defiant. Pretty much the entire range of human emotions with only a couple exceptions. But I feel like those exceptions are so well represented in other forms of music that we are not missing anything by their absence. Black metal in a lot of ways is the Philosophical or "Thinking Man's Metal". Not all of BM fits this description obviously (lookin at YOU War Metal aka Beastial Black Metal!) But some of its best bands embody such a description.
I'm officially old when I'm listening to a band inspired by Korn.
Yeah man, my thoughts exactly with a little mudvayne in the dressing room.
well... in korn era that was common xD
Yea no shit. 42 here

"Chaoseum" emerges as a powerhouse in the metal scene with their electrifying track "Smile Again." Combining the raw energy of Korn with a distinctly 2024 twist, this band proves that they're not just late to the party; they're here to set the stage on fire with their unique blend of theatricality, dropped guitars, and unapologetic attitude.
"Smile Again" is a sonic assault on the senses, featuring pounding drums, crunching guitars, and guttural vocals that hit with the force of a sledgehammer. From the moment the first chord is struck, it's clear that Chaoseum means business, delivering a performance that is as intense as it is electrifying.
But what truly sets Chaoseum apart is their theatrical appearance and stage presence. With a nod to the likes of Korn and Slipknot, the band brings a level of showmanship to their live performances that is unmatched. From elaborate costumes to jaw-dropping stage antics, they command the attention of every audience member from start to finish.
Despite their late arrival on the scene, Chaoseum proves that they are more than capable of holding their own alongside metal heavyweights like Korn and Slipknot. With "Smile Again," they announce their presence with authority, leaving no doubt that they are a force to be reckoned with in the world of metal.
So if you're looking for a band that knows how to rock a crowd and leave them begging for more, look no further than Chaoseum. With their theatrical flair, dropped guitars, and undeniable talent, they are poised to take the metal world by storm and leave a lasting impression on fans everywhere.
How have I just found you now. I freaking love this.
