Chaoseum is a band that was already recognized in the 90s and early 2000s , it was called KORN. However I do agree they have a dope sound which also keeps me listening

Anytime I play this song he gets excited and dances to it. He also bobs his head sort of like he's head banging. I have played so many different bands and he's never shown any interest in music, but he really loves this song

Anyways....my first REAL transition into a metalhead was when I was like 12, someone introduced me to Korn's Follow The Leader album and BOOM! I was addicted to it lol Korn, Slipknot, Chevelle, Marilyn Manson, Orgy, Coal Chamber etc and even Limp Bizkit lol, then Disturbed, SEVENDUST(one of my fav bands along with Chevelle, Slipknot etc) Linkin Park, and the list just goes on and on and on and on. But altho Chaoseum initially got hit with some "Korn rip-off" comments etc...but I call bullshit!! CK Smiles has a similar vocal tone as JD for sure, but for me they are so different from one another!! As a die-hard Korn fan beginning in 1998....I don't care one bit to admit that I love EVERYTHING this band has released since CK became vocalist...all their live acoustic renditions as well..and I personally think Chaoseum is KILLING IT and their music thus far IN MY OPINION is way better than 80- 90% of everything Korn has released since their Issues/Untouchables albums era. Was hooked on Chaoseum the first time I heard Smile Again and basically every other song I've heard by them too. Forever Anxiously waiting for anything new from these guys
The range of CK's voice is just amazing. I know he doesn't think of himself as a singer necessarily (he said that in an interview😂) but his voice and range from screaming to singing to higher notes is quite impressive. The whole band is quite talented. Great job guys!🤘👍👍

As a lifelong fan of Korn, I think this is absolutely beautiful stuff. To me, this is a band that shared that same love of Korn that we all had growing up, and now they’ve stepped up to carry the metaphorical torch and continue that legacy, with their own special touch.
Chaoseum deserves much more recognition. I see so much talent here, so much quality in every song. You guys are keeping nu metal alive! Please, never stop doing the art you're doing.
Yeah, many people heard "Smile Again" and immediately thought everything in their catalog was going to be derivative of Korn, but "Smile Again" is the most Korn-sounding song they have. Yes, CK's voice is similar to Jonathan's and the downtuned guitars that were a staple of nu metal are a hallmark of Korn's sound, but Chaoseum definitely has their own take on the style. It's a case where you can clearly see the influences, but have the sound evolve in a different direction.
I can hear a little bit of Faith No More, a little bit of Korn, a little bit of Mike Patton and a little bit of Jonathan Davis in this band. But despite all that; these guys fking kick ass.

Chaoseum are amazing at capturing a sad tone and sad lyrics with their heavy metal style, alot of people see the similarities to Korn and I'm not saying they aren't there but Chaoseum have such a good style that I wouldn't say Is purely Korn because it's not, Joanthan Davis had a really creative sound with Korn but CK smile and everyone else in Chaoseum have the sound but their lyrics and overall tone feels completely original.

It's abit like Korns natural progression from Untouchables onwards, ya know before Korn started writing boring songs, and if Korn learned to play lead 😂 still Korns first 5 albums are the pinnacle of nu metal

Been listening to hard rock and heavy metal since 86' and I have to say these guys are badass as hell..My favorite song by them is 'Smile Again' now this is my second favorite..🤘🤘 Never to old to enjoy real music..
Korn is my favorite band. They have been for about 20 years. I would never say any songs that are inspired by them are actually better than the real thing. Except this one... This has everything I could ever want in a song. It's like nu metal collided with thrash. It's amazing.
