Can honestly say I've never seen someone play the Didgeridoo like a badass until today.
I have not seen people using Didgeridoo in Rock Music even in Australia also...Thanks mate...
Straight up
We had a didgeridoo in the ex-garage band I was the keyboardist in, but never found an effective way to use it in any of our songs.
6 years later I discover this band and this comment made me laugh.
gotta get to ethnic music, like north european. this would sound excellent
The didgeridoo gets me every time cause that's one of the last instruments I ever expected to be used in a rock song, it fits this quite well though. I love it!
You should see some of the stuff Korn uses
Sounds perfect more sinister song
Normally didgeridoo makes me afraid but in this song relaxes me
it sounds good as doesnt it! :) i always turn the song up even more when the didgeridoo part comes up.
I keep replaying it over and over. I get chills
2024, anyone?
I just discovered this
Yep. I saw them and Hellyeah together several years back. It's still the best concert I've been to date! It was an amazing show
🙋🏽♀️
A decade and this song still rocks!
"I'd rather be an outkast than just bow down and obey..." this song screams meaning to my soul.
Amen 😉
Selena, same here.
Couldnt of said it any better
I'd rather die on my feet than live on my knees
Everyday 🎉
#1 SONG ON SIRIUS XM OCTANE! Thank you so much!
A truly amazing video by The. Best.Band.Ever. (in my humble opinion). :)
i heard this on xm before my dad quit paying for it out in the barn
The Didgeridoo is awesome.
Thanks for the free download! You rock! Thank you!
***** It's called a Didgeridoo, an Australian relic that humans use to communicate to animals in olden Australian times
Mad props to the musician rocking the Didgeridoo, It completes this song and makes it outstanding.
Wish it was prominent in more of their tracks. Not very many bands are doing anything beyond guitars, bass, drums, and keyboard anymore.
@Derrick Bonsell I agree, would be nice to see them add some more ibto their music. Korn with the bagpipes was my favorite but the didgeridoo goes hard too. 🤘🤘🤘

Right? An instrument my mind associates with Australia. The country built by criminals left to die there by the British. Yet they thrive and gave the biggest middle finger to England in doing so. Loved that it was used here, a symbol of absolute resilience and rebellion.
I certainly wish there were more bands like this in today's mainstream music!
I love this band but there's literally a thousand other bands like this lol.
Bullet for my vallantine would do it for you bruvh.
Or Smash mouth.
Absolutely

Would be a breath of fresh air for sure....
Won't happen because it is by far not bubblegum enough.
This song has one of my favorite drum solos ever.

Yui Shishido ...it is now
The didgeridoo sounds so badass in this song and become the enemy
Well hell it sure is fkn. Now.🙂
Apocalyptica: Are we a joke to you? We use cellos that not in their normal form.
... hold my beer .. post up the shots .. prepare to be cuffed to the bedposts
This has to be one of the best solos in any song ever. Plus having a cast credits list is simply badass.
I have to say, I met these guys in person, randomly at a hotel. Great guys, love their music, and love how down to earth they are!!!!
you lucky
Hell ya!!! Hung out with them during Through Fire and a few other bands that were playing. They were down to earth nice guys!!! They kick ass live
I met them at a show. They are indeed super nice guys
That's what makes better everything! It's centers self first. Maddatantions is like body mine and souls compression on next level ! It's facts! 🧟🌍🧭🌐🙀🪄🥇🛸🤖
A didgeridoo sounds fantastic in metal - well I never knew!
Its definitely unique, never heard on used in a metal song.
This isn't metal!
+Kevin Luper You're right. It even says in their description "hard rock band". People can't read apparently.
+P3RC3PT10N DevilDriver is metal. not this.
+Cody Tarpenning (FullMetalDonut) It's fun to see how the meaning of a word can depends of the people ... I consider everything with distorded guitar sounding heavy as metal, including hard rock...
These guys are badass! I used to be a stagehand at a local venue, where they were opening. They helped us load in/out their stuff and sat and drank beer with us after the show for over an hour! Great guys.
Wow, now how absolutely awesomely cool is that story!!! I LOVE hearing stuff like that!!! Great band, great guys, great story!!! Thanks for sharing it too!!! \m/
This man really just busted out the didgeridoo during a breakdown... and it was kinda fucking awesome
Who is still listening in 2023?? Awesome song, and awesome band!!

I love this song, it's message and I BLOODY LOVE the didgeridoo solo.

How am I just now discovering this band???? I can't get this song out of my head!
I have this song stuck in my head almost 24/7
Made in New Zealand, yea boi. This band rocks.who is here right now 2022!
I found out this band few years ago. Didgeridoo has been one of my favorite instruments since I was 8 and metal is one of my favorite music genres since I was 14. Finding a band mixing these two things was like "THIS is what I'm living for"
That fucking breakdown/bridge is the coolest thing i've heard in a while holy shit
+Tarby's Basement Amen!
Is that a didgeridoo they're using?! If so, I have got to give them props for using a bloody DIDGERIDOO in a ROCK song! That's badass right there. Epic song!
+Storyman09 it is!
+Ate Ve (veateve) I got to say then, that's impressive! This song is badass....Hmm, I wonder where I could learn to play a didgeridoo...
+Storyman09 last band known by me that used a didgeridoo was The Prodigy . but this is awesome aswell
+Bailey Ebk Heck yeah, I listened to this song pretty heavily every day for like a week and a half after I first discovered it. As I made clear above, the didgeridoo part was pretty distinctive. ;-P
+Storyman09 i would agree but led Zeppelin used a recorder in there most known and greatest song ever it take's skill to see the vision of where you want it in your some other then that it's just how you use odd instruments as beat peaces.
I feel like this represents all of us who are different! Awesome lyrics, they touch my soul and make me feel strong against my critics.
This is to the world at this point!!!!!
I just cant get over the "hate me" scream at the beginning and the end it sounds so freaking cool...i love it

All and everyone can pretty much fuck themselves
You'll probably never see this but: I work in childcare, ages 5 to 12. I talk with them about bullying, both being one and being on the receiving end and I often play this song and discuss what it means. Sometimes, music says more and can be understood easier then me simply saying things. They love this song, by the way. So, thank you for writing it and putting it out. Know that somewhere, you're helping a group of kids with their confidence and letting them know it's ok to stand up for yourself. (I play a lot of clean alt metal at work. pretty sure some parents dislike me for it lol)
Music is the universal language
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Great work. Thank you and thank you for sharing
As someone who has worked with pre-k through 5th grade kids in the past, I can see why the parents hate you. If you have not asked their permission to show this kind of thing to their kids before and you are working with YOUNG children, it will ALWAYS be bad and get you in trouble. 5 year Olds should not be exposed to this kind of thing period. Elementary kids, you need a permission slip from parents. If it were middle schoolers, it might be okay, but anytime you teach anything not in the curriculum that parents expect, it has a possibility of coming back to bite you. Maybe ask the parents first next time.
@@Sakachi18 lol ok, well, as someone who has worked with children from ages 6 months to 12 years for well over 20 years, allow me to enlighten you. Everything I play is clean. Any parents who dislike me for it, have misconceptions about this genre of music. It has nothing to do with the content of the song itself. I always give resources and explanations as to why it's being played. They are free to read the lyrics and ask any questions they want. The children never watch the video. I don't even play the video for "It's Raining Tacos" since we have a strict no-screen policy.
I don't need a permission slip for music of any genre. I don't work in a school. This cirriculum that you mention means nothing to me. I work in childcare. I work in a daycare/after-school care centre. Here in Alberta, we have what's called FLIGHT (they use caps not me). You can look it up if you want. Basically, the children lead the way in learning. We use their interests to plan and that can change one month to the next or from day to day. So long as the music is clean in content and language, it's all good. By the way, I also play classical (baroque period is my personal favourite), opera (Aida is the best one around) jazz, hip hop, rap, and traditional music from all over the world. I play all sorts of music because it helps the children learn many things. If you worked with children, I shouldn't have to explain what those things are.
Now for the song itself. This song is an anti-bullying song. I'm sure you can research yourself about the lead singer's experiences in school and understand why he wrote it. I use this song to teach several things: don't judge something until you personally experience it, that it's ok to have confidence enough to say "I'm me and if you don't like it, take a hike. I don't care.", it's a great sensory experience since most of them only listen to pop and don't really know how other music can sound, music lessons (noticing the beats, changes in instruments, high and low notes, flat notes etc), dancing to this music is a great gross motor activity. Most importantly, I use this song as a launch pad for conversations about bullying. Anything from being a bully to getting help and how to handle them. This is vital since children are being abused by their peers everyday. Music can be a great aid in that. If parents have an issue with how I do it, that's on them.
I watched my daughter go so down hill because of bullying, that I had to rush her the hospital so she wouldn't commit suicide. Twice. At 25, she still deals with what those abusive people did to her. Yes, it is abuse. Schools did nothing. The school board did nothing and when she was a kid, I couldn't bring in the cops. So, I will not stop playing anti-bullying songs, no matter what the genre of music. I will not stop using them to help children realize the behaviour needs to stop and it's ok to have enough confidence to get help or tell the bully off. Parents who have issues with it are free to talk to me. I'm very transparent about everything. If the rare one still has an issue, that has to do with personal prejudice and not the music. That, once again, is on them. I'm not stopping.
@ayumiving You work in a DAYCARE and your boss lets you do this? Wow. I guess where you live really does make a difference in what you can get away with. In all the courses I took about young children and their minds development and what was allowed and what was not, music like this was NEVER allowed. So when I began working with the kids, everything was done safe, clean and child friendly. Kids talking about their interests was encouraged if it could be incorporated into a lesson, but if the child's interest was something this heavy, then it was not allowed and we were supposed to keep them from sharing it with the other children if possible. The meaning behind the lyrics doesn't matter, if the song is screaming harsh and angry, it is not supposed to be played around young children since it impacts their development when they are young and can turn them into angry people. Even if the meaning behind the song is a positive one. Parents would KILL if I played anything like this to their young children. It is what permission slips are for. But I suppose daycare vs actual schools may be a bit different and you may be able to get away with a bit more. But still, I would think daycare still would be held to some kind of regulations about this if they have young children in the fold. Okay, but you are NOT the child's parent. Even if you think there is nothing wrong with it, it doesn't matter what the parent's reason is, if they do not want their child exposed to something, then you MUST respect that. If the parent says they don't believe in their child having any exposure to sugar, then you can't just slip the child a bit and say a bit won't kill them, you have to respect that parent and not let their kid have any sugar. You are being trusted to look after their child while they are away, protect their child in their place, not RAISE their child the way you want when they don't. Things like this may seem silly to you, but research backs it up, certain sounds can be classified as angry, calming, cheerful, etc. And while I personally like music like this song, it is proven that songs like this sound angry and can affect the person listening to it and put them in a more aggravated state sometimes. So even if the message is good, the way the song is played is NOT young child friendly. It's like why we don't let 13 year Olds play M rated video games. I'm not trying to tell you that you are the worst or that you should be stripped of your license and not be allowed to work around kids anymore or anything, bit did you really not get taught any of this stuff when you were taking your childcare, child development or educations courses? This is pretty standard stuff. It's honestly no wonder that some parents are seeing what their kids are being shown and getting mad, and you could save yourself a LOT of trouble by separating what is taught to the kids based on age range. Keeping the 6 year Olds separate from the 12 year Olds for things like this can really help. 👍
0:46 from here on, is truly amazing.
I work at home depot as a student. I ran into the lead singer today. Never heard of of the band until now. Fucking amazing!
I heard em bout 3 years ago and i totally dig em they show everyone who the king of rock is

Why is this didgeridoo going so well with this instrumental? Lmao I'm losing my shit
The Didgeridoo made this song way more bad-ass! Love the originality.
