@@kriswhite9324 I would say just get the knobbiest tire that fits(width wise) between the swing arm. Hey bud, great video! I have a question. The wheels you have linked one is 15mm bearing and one is 12mm bearing. Are they different back and front? If not, which is the correct size? Thank you!
I got them on amazon but not sure if the exact ones were still on there. You can check ebay as well. If you are getting the wheels to, make you get ones with the 12mm bearing. That is what the base/stock SSR125 uses.
That would be pretty cool! Yeah, you would need wider forks and swing arm. Would probably have to figure out how to get the chain to line up correct as well since the wider tire/wheel will place the sprocket farther out.
Possibly. I didn't have to change mine though. If you have your current rear wheel adjusted all the way back to get it tight, you may have enough chain to accommodate the bigger wheel when adjusted closer to the front.

Hello, my good man, and fellow drummer. I have recently picked up a 125 also, and found your video to be very helpful. The new axle that the wheels came with you used right? Did you have to adjust chain tension at all? was connecting the brakes, simple just sliding them in? My son’s rear wheel is now out of true, wobbles, and the spokes are loose. Did you make it a point to frequently tighten these spokes on the new wheels, especially on delivery? I apologize for all the questions but any insight is a tremendous help. Thank you so much.
Hey, this wheel setup did come with the axle. The stock 125cc uses a 12mm. Some of the aftermarket wheels have the 15mm axle. I had to adjust the chain some but wasn't much. The brakes should line up. Worst case scenario, you may have to cut down the spacer on one side, but I don't think you will need to. Regarding the spokes, I just made sure they were tight on the new one and haven't had any issue with them loosening up.
i love it, im still concerned about the rear it looks lkie u dont have much room with swingarm, what if it bounces off a jump? and should i just get a better rear shock in case for that reason?
There is a pretty decent amount of clearance. Chain length could make a difference though. I haven't really done any big jumps, so I can't really say how it would do, but I don't think it would bottom out super easy or anything.
With those size wheels it's probably a 70cc or 110cc. I would think a 12 would fit fine in the front. Just have to make sure it has enough clearance when hitting bumps.
@jgrinnell7431 Not sure. You should measure the gap between the current wheel and swing arm. If you have a couple inches of clearance you should be good to go up 2". Chain, brakes etc may be ok but could have to be adjusted if you add a bigger wheel/tire.
Not sure...it really depends on how much space you have between your rear wheel and the swingarm. I put 14/12 setup on a SSR 70. The front wheel hits the fender on big bumps and there isn't much clearance between the swingarm and rear wheel though.
Yes, I didn't modify anything on the bike...just installed the bigger wheels/tires. If your chain doesn't have much adjustment, you would possibly need to add a link or two so the wheel could be adjusted back some. This wasn't an issue for me though.
You should be able to put a 14/12 setup on a 110. Just have to make sure there is enough room/gap at the swingarm for the bigger wheel. I changed out the 10/10 wheels to a 14/12 on a SSR70 but it was tight.
