A-235 PL-19 Nudol (Russian: Система А-235 / РТЦ-181М RTTs-181M / Нудоль) is a Russian anti-ballistic missile and anti-satellite weapon system in development. It is designed to deflect a nuclear attack on Moscow and important industrial regions. The main developer of the system is JSC Concern VKO Almaz-Antey. The new system should replace the current one - A-135. The two main differences will be that the A-235 will use conventional warheads and it will be mobile.
Missile defense system A-235 will be using the Don-2N radar and the range radar Don 2NP / 5N20P with updated software and hardware; the guidance system of the A-235 complex will be similar to the existing system A-135. The A-235, when deployed, could be equipped with a nuclear warhead which would greatly increase its ability to kill incoming warheads. The yield on which it would be deployed is not yet known. According to reports in early 2018, the system will not be equipped with nuclear warheads. The system will be deployed at points surrounding Moscow by the end of 2018.
The anti-ballistic missile systems are located at the Plesetsk Cosmodrome, at the ex-launch site of the Tsyklon-2 rocket. The new PRS-1M (45T6) is a modernized variant of the PRS-1 (53T6 Gazelle) and can use nuclear or conventional warheads. It can hit targets at ranges of 350 km and altitudes of 50 km.
The A-235 will have missiles capable of operating at three different ranges: long-range, based on the 51T6 and capable of destroying targets at distances up to 1500 km (930 miles), at altitudes up to 800,000 m; medium-range, an update of the 58R6, designed to hit targets at distances up to 1000 km (620 miles), at altitudes up to 120,000 m; and short-range (the 53T6M or 45T6 (based on the 53T6)), with an operating range of 350 km (215 miles) and a flight ceiling of 40,000-50,000 m. The long-range missiles will most likely be equipped with nuclear warheads, while the others will have kinetic energy warheads. Testing of new missiles for the A-235 Samolyot-M system began in August 2014.

Just to clarify. A-235 Nudol is a mobile hypersonic Anti Ballistic Missile. Its speed is up to 7 km/sec, 1500 km range. It can also bring down anything on the orbit, missiles or satellites.
It's not S-500, which is a Anti Aircraft and anti-ballistic system and has smaller range and speed but is also more mobile. They are designed to work together.
A-235 not mobile. It loaded in to a silo on the video. So it is silo based missile. Under USSR/USA agreement each side may have one region with missile interceptors with nuclear warheads. USSR selected Moscow and USA selected NORAD center.
@@anton6643 No, you are confusing it with 15 year old A135 Amur. ABM treaty was broken by USA in 2003. A-235 is highly mobile and can be moved in any direction and in any numbers needed. What you saw was a silo test.

The A-235 program aims for a range of over 1,000km which puts it into a class of its own. It is an odd yet surprisingly obvious move to adopt an ABM platform for ASAT roles unless the Russians are planning to intercept ICBM re-entry vehicles in outer space, which, I'll admit, sounds kind of cool.

@@SuperGeronimo999 Everyone is impressed because it is impressive and I don't see why you find that offensive, it's not every day people see a missile ascend this fast when they're used to seeing cruise missile launches most of the time, besides, there is an equally impressive technical aspect at play here too, sure, both sprint and its sibling hibex achieved hyper fast accelerations but both fell significantly short on range, sure, the latest RIM-161 has a theorised apogee of around 2,500km but how long did it take to get there? this system takes the strengths of those two record-breaking missiles and finds the sweet spot in between and the result is a system that has substantially more strategic versatility then the abysmal ranged sprint and hibex and substantially better ABM capability than the comparatively slow reacting RIM-161, in my world that is impressive.

It might be that the Tsar Bomb is the regular warhead of the Status-6 "Poseidon" system? It doesn't have to fly, so can carry something special. Plus it's atomic powered anyway, so you add the reactor components to the situation.

Status 6 is enough to be equipped with "regular" 1MT or 2MT warhead and those are more than enough to start radioactive tsunamis (or to destroy large groups of sea vessels at one go!

Не надо забывать что "Нудоль" это что бывший советский А155 РТЦ181А(теперь А235 РТЦ181М) делался не только под "шахтный" вариант, но и под мобильный... в том числе под так называемую "Легенду-Плюс"(теперь "Лиана") для установки на "тайфуны" и тяжёлые атомные ракетные крейсера проекта 11442 "Орлан". Проще говоря вы наблюдали кусок советского SOI)
Отдельно скажу что кроме кинетических перехватчиков комплекс А155 РТЦ181А имел корректируемые головы-блоки лазеров с ядерной накачкой, нейтронные "шипучки"... ну и возможность выведения даже спутников хим-лазеров.
