  • The RS-28 Sarmat missile is a powerful and advanced weapon that is capable of delivering a nuclear warhead to any target on Earth. Its advanced features, including a hypersonic glide vehicle and a variety of countermeasures, make it almost impossible to intercept by current missile defense systems.
While its development has caused concern among some countries, Russia has stated that the missile is necessary for its national defense. The RS-28 Sarmat missile is a significant advancement in missile technology and represents a major strategic advantage for Russia.

One thing the Russians have done well is in rockets and their development (electronic jamming as well). They are on par or even ahead in certain areas of these two fields. What they are truly capable of, both the US and Russia in a nuclear exchange will always be kept a secret. Judging by their space programs (which are ICBM’s for civilian use) both countries have reliably placed humans and payload to and from space for over 50 years now…. I can’t think of any other country that can say that. While the US did place men on the moon.. the USSR did win some parts of the space race. This is one part of there arsenal I wouldn’t underestimate at all.

I agree and disagree lol. On the one hand, yes the US military is highly sophisticated relative to the rest of the world. This includes a suite of very good anti missle capabilities. However, the prospect of a nuclear exchange seems to be lost on you. Every city with a population of over 100 thousand people has a target on it. In the event we have icbms incoming there will not be just 1 which our advanced systems could defeat. It will be hundreds if not thousands of launches all at once. Then once the missles re enter the atmosphere they will seperate into warheads anywhere from 8-12 warheads each. Some of them will have duds to soak up any attempt to stop it. So think about that for a second.. hundreds and hundreds of these things coming in hot overloading the system trying to stop it all. Then imagine if even a few of these things go off... electronics will go offline, mass panic, mass death, high levels of radiation, looting, murdering. Yup it would get bad VERY VERY BAD and no amount of anti missle systems could stop the MAD (mutually assured destruction).
