I Dropped A GoPro In This MASSIVE SPILLWAY!!! (Unbelievably Loaded)

- Watching fish on livescope is fun, but.. There's nothing quite like using an underwater camera. You get to see fish in their natural environment, how they behave, how they group up, and most important of all.. How they react to things. Some of the fish in this massive spillway were spooked it the camera, and others were aggressive towards it. It's hard for me to stop casting at a place like this, but I'm glad I did because.. This place was more loaded than you could see from the surface, and I even got a glimpse at my favorite fish ever.

I'm a silly goose, I forgot to count the species. How many did y'all see?
I think 6 , carp , channels, largemouth, bluegill, drum bud and wiper
Um.... I think I counted like 420 ? 🤔 🤣
@@dadentist6757plus the flathead would make 7
7 I think. Channel, flat, wiper, carp, drum bud, bluegill largie
@@knightfishing There was some sucky boys as well!
As a fisherman when you say "last cast" you really have ten casts until your done fishing and it starts over if you catch a fish or forget how many casts your on. Very simple
That's exactly what happened. I caught a lot more than I put in this video too. They were bitey.
Last cast is to fisherman as one more 🍺 is to a drunk.
My pops had knee surgery not even 3 weeks ago.... right before PNW Salmon season was going to start around us.... got the a okay to take him out tomorrow in the AM.... Im jonesing man!!! Upload came at the perfect time to distract that itch I cant scratch for another 10 hours!!!! Thanks Stash Fam Leader!!!🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣
Hope you guys crush em!
@@ImPacosTacos Richland area is where I will be
Just got Home, Pops hooked both the fish we caught!!! Thanks for the goodluck Stash Man!!!!!
Plunking for sockeye in the morning. There running right now here in Washington. There not hungry you just have to piss them off enough to bite. Keep up the great content!
" but, yeeeeAH.." vibes of Mister Rogers 😂❤️
I say there's only 2 or 3 channels.
They just keep following you and photo bombing the GoPro.😂😂😂
Hi love to see all the fish and hope you catch some big ones soon
I hope so too.
Your underwater GoPro videos are cool! Lovin’ all the content from this glorious spillinway lately!
❤️👊💪🎣
You're not wrong, its always exciting to see the underwater footage!
Thanks for the video Josh ! I never caught a Wiper but I’ve caught Stripers in the Sacramento and American Rivers. My daughter caught a 28 inch Northern yesterday off the dock at our Minnesota cabin. That was great to see.
Sounds like a good trip!
Love your channel you and Jordan are on my rotation for UA-cam fishing channels. Keep it up stash nasty
I'll do my best!
Awesome video man 🔥🔥🎣🎣
Thanks dude!
Great job and Fantastic narration as always Thanks, where's Ashley? Luv to see you kids fishing together 💗😂😮😅😊
Yea we need to get out more!
The underwater footage was unique. I'm impressed with how you could see them above water as they approached the water camera! 📷
Wipers are my next species to go after! Just started fishing for whitebass last year and fell in love with the drag screaming!
I totally want to fish that place one day for sure!
It's pretty neato
I love that place, only been once and didn't catch much but no water movement at all... I lok forward to going back.. Thanks for sharing always love the under water videos.. You should put that underwater drone in there
What a wild spot!! Coolio
Thanks Josh 👍👌👍👌👍
O lord are you saying again 😂😂😂lol
Remember when you and Ben strapped a camera to a big rat's back and sent it back into the spillinway on a fishing pole?
As I am at that spillway right now and slaying the wipers!!!!
What a great place
Just got my Baby Whales and Finesse jigs in the mail. Can’t wait to head out to a couple spillways in my area. Hoping to get on to some walleyes and wipers. Never caught a wiper, so hoping to catch one. Caught plenty of white bass but never a wiper. Should be able to get out in a week or so. Can’t wait!! Thanks for the great vids on spillin ways!!
Awesome video again lol
Ever throw any worm buds in there?
They always get ate by 10" channels
1 MILLIONNNNNNNNNNNN Catfish!!! Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha!!! Later Brother! P.S. Singing Isn't Your Strong Suit!! LOL!
Boo says I have the voice of an angel
Love to see you come down to Louisiana
One of these years!
My sister has a house in Grand Isle get you a good rate
I'm definitely going here on Saturday. I'll be videoing too.
Nice
A lot of good fish
Would love to see a top water video here, like a whopper plopper or spook.
(Edit) would like to see them channels caught too
In years past I've tried Topwater either no luck. Also, crushed the channels a couple years back.
Let’s gooooooooo!
Where we going?
@@PigPatrolTV catching 🐖 🐷
You should drop a bait on the bottom right by the wall! Use the rig we use here for pier fishin.
Attach a sinker on the end of your main line (this keeps it on the bottom). Then tie a bobber rig with a clip at the top. Cast your weight out, or drop it straight down, then clip the bobber rig on your main line and let it slide down your main line. Dope technique, we catch a lot of steelhead with this method! Its legal here because there no weight below your hook, its considered two separate rigs.
The bonus to this rig is your bait stays put and your bobber doesnt drift all over hell and you can suspend fish where you normally cant. Give er a shot!
Extremely cool video . I wish Illinois would let us fish spillways. Be safe !
Try floating that old gopro out amongst the snags where the whale gets hit. By the stuff you say you feel them grind. Should be awesome. Love all your content, by the way. The good, the bad and the ugly so to speak. Lol. Keep it coming brotha stache
From the Des Moines Iowa area caught bunches of wipers !
How's the flooding these days?
@@PigPatrolTV it’s still going on they raised saylorville too max and are trying too ease the river down … but yeah it needs too stop, raining ! To sure how red rock dam is last I heard was lots of stripers walleyes and channel cats and huge flat heads … but below red rock can have every species . Holler next time your in town I’ll take ya too some hot spots
How do you not have 300k subscribers?
Yep! Even if I’m by myself and I say last cast!! I still throw out a few more times 😂
@PigPatrolTV - the ladies at my church would absolutely pass out if I brought those kitties back for them to eat. I will sign a NDR to come there and fish with you! Absolutely awesome footage! 😂😮
Definitely a cool video!! Try that original spot where you strapped a go pro to a kitty with Ben , if it's not dried up.
Wow, ..man. Your singin is brutal. I've never hated that song as much as I do right now. Lol
Never caught a Strippie. But now that you're showing how fun it is. It's on my bucket list for sure. We have White Perch in my lake which is Lake Champlain. So I'm sure the Strippers will show up Eventually... Maybe?? Keep on stachin.
Grew up fishing that spillin way and in 30 years have never caught a carp from it. Sad that catching a carp from there is on my bucket list especially when you can see them all along the edges. However, I once caught a 14 inch, 1.6 lb crappie there in the calm water.
Get out there at about 4 am and they will be up on the concrete where he was walking.
I love fishing for wipers on my ultra light with 4-6 pound test. My line doesn’t love it but I do 😂
Thanks for calling it a hybrid. To many people actually think those are striped bass. Dope video.
As a Minnesotan i have never caught a stash-wipey😢. I do not believe we have them. How ever, i have caught sturgeon, super fun catch. Thanks #stash-daddy.
Never fished where they have them unfortunately they look like a blast
Fun video Josh. I've always wanted to know what lurks below? The Baby Whale is obviously a productive lure. Here in Wisconsin I found a yellow 3 inch twister tail to be deadly on wipers and flatheads. PBwiper 12.1 lbs, PB flatheads, 64 lbs. A pair! Curious if this would work for for you down in Stach Country?
Where in Wisconsin do you catch wipers? I didn’t know we had them here
Never caught whiper hell not even any white bass around here.😂
Where at?
@@PigPatrolTV central Minnesota
3 bots in ten minutes now thats when you know youve made it big hahaha
They're multiplying lol
When is UA-cam gonna do something about that shit. I’m so sick of looking at generic bot comments on every video I watch.
It's gotten better, but it's still bad.
Caught a wiper? Hell, I never heard of them before!
Caught me my first wiper on accident lol. Was fishing for blue cats on a lake with a bluegill head
Never caught a wiper, but I Atlantic striper and big white perch are some of my favorite fish to target and directly related to white bass so I can imagine they are a blast to catch. Wish we had a fishery for wipers in New England but the ocean is a little cooler I suppose
I would like you to make a bracket for your live scope and set it up while you’re fishing so we all can see what is cruising by.
That is the only place that I get to fish, and I have yet to get a wiper. I catch everything else.
ya wonder how many of those swam down stream on their own
Probably lots and lots of
Hell yeah. I wish I knew where this was
I've been Whiper fishin twice. Both times on Barren River Lake in KY. Caught em on chicken liver. They start to feed every day, like clockwork, about 2 hours before dark. It's a stinkin RIOT!
a good place to fish and stuff
Enjoying your latest videos. Where are you fishing? Gavin's Point? Big Mac? Love those Wipers. I am in Omaha. Happy 🎣
Wiper are my 2nd favorite fish to target.
Biggest so far is 14.87 pounds on a 7" glide here in Illinois
What’s the deal with the girl head band? Also great vid. Thanks.
My 9 year old forces me to wear it on trips for good luck.
Would be cool to see you drop that GoPro off some of the dike tunnels
Alas! We don't have wipers in Oregon.☹
Excellent job I would definitely like to fish there looks way fun . Question can you eat wipers or no ??
You dirty ole stash snagger buds ❤
Cool footage, I would’ve tried just vertical jigging right by the wall.
I always spend a month or two chasing hybrids in the Ohio river. Hard fighting plus a current, can’t beat it. And some of them can get to pretty good size, I mean you get a 10lb hybrid on the rod, you got a fun fight for sure.
One species you forgot to mention the camera caught! The human species!
I managed a bucket list scenario last weekend. Caught a channel rat in the lips with an f7 Rapala. A rare event In general, but even rarer in Montana. Tight lines stache n smash
You actually followed through on your promises. You're the opposite of a popolitician 😂
What color do u use in the baby whales
Pro shad
Yes an lot of them
These vids are pretty cool maybe try a 360 degree cam i feel that would be really awesome and give you the best opportunity to see everthing down there as for E.D issue😂 maybe ziptie another stick to it stiffin it up a little
My biggest wiper was just a hair over 11 pounds. Caught it on a live gizzard shad at West Point Lake in Georgia.
You should try it at the loup power canal!
No wiper for this guy 😢 (2.5lb white bass closest for me) Unfortunately the Ontario government doesn't stock them. Although I have heard of flatheads starting to show up in one particular river up here. I'm hoping in a few years there will be an actual fishery for them. Great video as usual Josh.
I took an extendable paint handle and made a bracket for my GoPro
6 ft and extends to nearly 12ft, sturdy and takes 2 hands but is adjustable and they do come longer
Montrose powerplant (Mo. closed) , used to catch 8-10 lbs Wipers
What's up Stachemouth?
Just watching baby shark against my will
If you ever decide to take a trip to NW montana we can go mark that 40" 20# pike off your list.
Yes iv caught one or two , my best day at your fishing spot was 36 , and not a fish under 6
A Remote control submarine would be pretty cool to see go down there.
I have caught a “wiper” but we call them “sunshine bass” here in FLA
I love your channel dude. With all those cats hitting the GoPro, why not put a hook on it?!
Caught my pb walleye today on cut bait
Stuff and things
Pa pow
The dam at fairbury would be cool
❤
next time you should put the camera on a bobby boi and try to fish around it :P
All of a sudden Miliken wants to upload a spillway video lol. About time, all his videos are just views of his ass 🤣 damn bass fisherman.....
Wiper are the undisputed best fighters, in a lifetime fishing, only wiper have taken all my line off. FUN, Fun!!
I was there Monday using a baby whale didn't even have a bite
I think they turned the water down?
Got my 3 inch baby whales in the mail today, how big of a jig head do you recommend running, never really fished much with jigs or soft baits, here in utah we have alot of the same fish i see you catching, walleye being my favorite
Never caught a wiper, I’ve caught a bunch of pure bred stripeys though!
They are probably hungry !! They should stock some bait fish in their !! Seems like a lot of smaller predatory fish , would be monsters if they had more food
Yo! You need to make a trip to Oregon and come get on some giant Sturgeon. There’s a spot you can UA-cam called Jurassic park on the Willamette river. It gets stuuuupid in the winter.
I remember years ago I think it was the first time you dropped a go pro in a pond or outlet. I think it was you and dad and a little boy or something. My memory is foggy.
I did this not too long ago lol it was cool.
@@Iwilliams444 see a bunch of feesh?
Usually not one to ask where spots are, but i am super curious what lake / spillway this is.
You will have to research and find out for yourself, he has said many times he won’t tell the names of places so people don’t flood a spot
@@jordonpratt2604 ohhh i 100% get that. But western Nebraska is a pretty big place to narrow stuff down in, though its completely understandable.
@@k.robatasio9471 if you do research by stuff he has said you can find it, I found it from Tennessee and know exactly where it is
DP from Pawtucket Rhode Island is it me or is it f****** they put picnic tables out in the middle of the water awesome
Yes. I’m almost 50 and I caught 2 7 pounders when I was a teenagers. I thought they are stripers not knowing the difference.
Basically the same experience I'd bet
