Tons of great songs... "And She Was", "Wild Wild Life", "Love For Sale", "Nothing But Flowers", "Girlfriend Is Better", and a bunch of others... and then don't forget Tom Tom Club's "Genius of Love" and "Wordy Rappinghood".
Before I even started, I couldn't help but think, "Brad is gonna frown in suspicion at any band that has humour or lightness as an aspect of itself." And that band manages to mix fun and serious subjects like no other. Sure enough, the frown was there. But it was nice to see it dissolve into a smile. The power of The Talking Heads. Talking Heads are a deep, deep rabbit hole worth jumping into. They started out Punk, evolved into New Wave, then morphed into something totally unique. David Byrne is a genius!

Talking Heads: 77 is a fun album, years ahead of its time. "Pulled Up" offers more freneticism. "The Book I Read" melds Afro-pop guitar licks with a stripped down four on the floor beat. "Uh-Oh, Love Comes to Town" grooves around the verses with an almost Jackson 5 vibe.
Talking Heads are definitely an acquired taste but the more you listen the more you love em, still to this day my favorite band of all time, check out, cross-eyed and painless

I was a big fan of Taking Heads in the late 70’s and early 80’s most people thought they were weird, it made me love them so much more.
