The Importance of Eye Health (Asia: English)

I'm not sure about any where else but in Chicago only Licensed Optometrists (Doctors of Optometry) give eye exams even in optical shops and Opticians are the sales people. For a comprehensive eye exam most Optometrist suggest patients see an Ophthalmologist.
