this has easily got to be one of the best game boy games made
Fact
I could argue Hammerin Harry ghost building company would make for good competition, solid challenge, impressive graphics with catchy music as well
That stage clear animation is so fucking badass
Nostalgia at its finest. Times were so simple back then
I miss the good old days of GameBoy games.
That M.Bison looking dude with the AK looks so confused when you grapple to the roof. "Time to di........ where'd he go? AH-HAH! There you are! Time to di........ god damn it!"
As if it needs anymore proofing, the final boss battle music is in fact identical to Shadow of Ninja final boss theme. It's so sick!
Most Of The Soundbytes In The Game Are Taken From Shadow Of The Ninja. This Game, Was Made With The Help Of Sound Team Of That Game From Natsume, So You'd Hear Most Of The Soundfonts/SFX From That Game. The Second Stage BGM Gives Away The Vibe.
@@ZatohRondohoon3227 how interesting! Also the final stage is same BGM as Ninja Gaiden 3 Act IV, and I think I prefer this version. What a gem of a game.
Hearing to the BGM, it all comes flooding back. Love this game
pretty cool soundtrack
Natsume never disappoints. :)
30+ years and I'm still trying to get to the end of this game.
Thank you so much for playing all of these great games!
The title screen music and some SFxzz has a resemblence to SHADOW OF A NINJA for the nes....
Apparently it began development as a conversion of Shadow of the Ninja.
Ryu Hayabusa:3D or 2D,he's still a cool killer.
FUCK DUDE. You're bringing me back to when I was like 6 or 7 years old. I would go to my older friend's house and he would have all the cool video games including this one where I always forced to watch because I wasn't good enough to play.
this game might just be in my top10 Game boy games
Music and plot from Shadow Of The Ninja on nes? Wonder why the name change?
Stage 3 ost bring me here.. miss the old days..
In 5th grade, I lent a friend my copy of this game (which I received as a birthday present) in exchange for his copy of Wayne's World. Yyeeaahh...I never saw my game again, but still have his cart. I'm 38 now, and still regret the trade.
Dude, i literally stopped playing on the last boss, IM AN IDIOT, am goin back to beat this game
best intro music 🔥
Fun Fact this is actually a port of the nes game shadow of the ninja hence the similar intro
AKA "Blue Shadow" in PAL territories. Is Shadowserg from Europe?
I remember playing Ninja Gaiden on NES after having played this on GameBoy, thinking; how is the handheld version so much better..? :) Shadow of the Ninja is awesome too btw.
Played the hell out of this in 90s, as i remember was a fav.
So i am confused about "the battle". Is the intro referring to Ninja Gaiden 1 on NES? Or am I missing something?
I think so yeah
Shadow Of The Ninja, Natsume, You'll Get The Reference.
Here’s a tip: you can hit those globes and get items that you can use.
Impressive as usual!
Totally agreed!
Although it’s a NO DEATH run, I give you a B+ at best. You took a ton of unnecessary damage, intentionally missed an annoying amount of power ups, and you missed the two secret areas.
Stage 1- Drop down where the final rocket turret is before the boss fight at 2:31
Stage 3- Grapple up after ceiling turret at 8:18
This game was a sequel to Shadow of the Ninja, which was rebranded into Ninja Gaiden Shadow.
Totally!
i ninja this game to like a 2 grader cousin when i was 7-8-9 years old best game ever for GB!!
ALL BOSSES FIGHT :
2:35, 6:30, 10:14, 14:49, 20:06 ( FINAL BOSS )
I subscribed good job bro keep it up
No regrets.
Thanks, bro! :)
No prob
The ending reminds me of Castlevania.
Well Natsume like Treasure was also formed by people that used to work for Konami.
is there a secret area in stage 2? I remember finding one in stage 1 and 3 idk about the others
Hiding Tsai just 1&3 from what I gather. It’s only the odd stage sans 5
Great music
Got this at KB toys for $19.99 back then, totally worth it
Rest in Peace KB toys!
The best game for game boy sorry Pokemon Red.
The sound fx and music is very similar to Blue Shadow.
@The Goose With No Name Damn! Thought it sounded familiar! Makes sense now.
🤤 I didn't know it came out on GB
What's funny is this is made by Natsume (published by Tecmo). It was originally a port of Natsume's Ninja Gaiden competitor game "Shadow of the Ninja" for the NES. Then Tecmo paid them to rework the sprites and music and tweak the plot to make it Ninja Gaiden.
Ninja Dog...
If you play Ninja Gaiden Black Before...
finished year 1994 i miss this
3 years since what battle?
The Game Boys own Version of Blue Shadow/Shadow Of The Ninja for the Nes :)
I did not know there was a ninja Gaiden game on game boy
Como se hace ese ataque a distancia? ( Q combinación de botones tengo q hacer)
Arrow up + attack
i love ninja gaiden but one thing that i hated about the old ninja gaiden is that it took place in usa and not in asia like it's supposed to
I bought ninja gaiden on the nes recently fully expecting it to be better than the gameboy version. Oh how disappointed I was!
The gameboy version is just incredible! Better graphics, better sound fx, better music, better gameplay, more stable. On literally every measure, it’s far superior to the nes version. Such an incredible game, but why?????
@The Goose With No Name yeah the gameboy had much better graphics, stability, music, bosses - everything. It is easier, but not so easy that you can finish it first play round.
Саундтрек классный.
guess natsume work too on the track.... similar to kage....op soundtrack
wow no cutscenes at all?
Gaiden is cool
*Activates Super-Soulnoid X.*
the sfx is like KAGE though except the music.
OK so Ninja Gaiden and Shadow of the Ninja are same guy now lol
Un jeu qui te fait devenir épileptique.
*Runs with.*
Ais... 🥲
