I had a cleaning business for 25 years. We always dumped the water down the utility sink, if the customer had one. We would never put the water down toilets we just cleaned! If no utility sink, we would dump the water outside. Kim's Cleaning Service is doing it correctly!🎉🎉
I have a cleaning business too and I do the same thing!
@@reniehandler2595 Yes! Kim's Cleaning Service for the win! ❤ And if we wanted to get deeper, toilets are cleaned way before you wash the floors. You work your way down. So dirty floor water is the last thing you want splashing around that shiny clean toilet. We want our customers to come home to sparkling clean. The utility tub ( I used to call the laundry room "my office" lol) and laundry room is the very last thing you clean because it was your dumping ground during the whole house clean.
Personally I would much rather put dirty water down the toilet I'd clean it last or flush quickly after.
@@dee4716 The toilet gets flushed to to the same area the sinks drain. Do you clean raw meats & fish in your sinks? It;s all about the sanitation of the sink afterwards. Just cleaning your own home doesn't make you a "pro". I did this back breaking work for over 25 years , thousands of times cleaned floors, toilets (over 40 hours a week). It works for you, that's great.
Yeaaaaah 🎉🎉 Kim’s cleaning service over here doing something right! Woop haha thanks for the reassurance! Tell me more secrets 😂
My hubby, walking out of the bedroom, closing the door behind him, so he could take care of the kids while I slept in once a week. ❤❤❤❤ SO ROMANTIC 🥰
Why are we not making that contractor pay for fixing his error? How frustrating.
The murphy door would be FREAKING COOL.
My ❤hurts so much every time you talk about the addition, you have waited so long and worked so hard you deserve so much more
Hi Kim, You should not have to be paying for their mistakes. My husband is an electrician and if he makes a mistake he pays for it. That is what a respectable company would be doing. You deserve so much better. But when it is finally done you will be happy. SO much more room for your amazing family. Hugs and blessings
Kim. You are so positive. My husband is also in construction, and my heart hurts too. You are a wonderful woman.
Wolfgang's little hands 🥰
I'm sure your addition is going to be beautiful! However, your architect and contractor should be soooo ashamed of themselves, all of those details that they missed is absurd, especially since that's why you have them, to make sure these things don't slip through the cracks. I'm sorry you guys have had these issues. I love the Murphy door idea!
Kim, I was/am a stay at home mom of 3. (empty nester now) But I scheduled 1 day a month that was circled on the calendar so everyone could see! That was my day off. I got to sleep in, no cooking, no laundry, No carpooling, no extra kids over. Everyone knew and I could always point to the day on the calendar if they asked anything of me! Of course hubby had to help. But it was so needed!
I love this! So smart!! I will be implementing this. I am a SAHM and have four kids: 1 yo, 2 yo, 4 yo, 5 yo and would love a scheduled break. 🙌🏼
I love the hidden door idea. I know it's not ideal but I have a similar hallway that heads to the other side of the house. Being able to shut the door helps SO much with noise. My teenagers really love it.
It really would be great for the noise especially when they have sleepovers and get noisy and the smaller kids may be sleeping!!
May be a blessing in disguise 🥸
@@thewadsquadGlad to see you posted again love your videos❤
You can tell him that you will seriously think about the jacuzzi if he will let you have the nice chairs for your office!😊
Yesssss I agree
And he is in charge of cleaning it and chemicals
Problem is Alex believes (and is right) that Kim deserves everything her heart desires so would insist she gets the chairs no matter what.
Alex needs jacuzzi for tired muscles after pickle ball. 👍 Super nice for family as well. I say go for it you only live once👍
You are probably more tired from more frequent work outs.
Wolfgang is Hilarious! He's everywhere doing everything... SO funny!
May the blessings of God never miss your doorstep. Wishing you joy and happiness on this beautiful Thursday. Have a nice day!
I have a 16 month old who is still nursing all night and I get at most 30 mins of consecutive sleep and unless you’ve gone through it, no one will ever understand the sleep deprivation and how it affects your day to day 🫠🫠🫠
Oh I feel you! My kids are older now (6, 9 and 12) but I've breastfed each of them for about 18 months (nursing all night) and I barely got any sleep..they kept waking up every 20 minutes and I kid you not, the 1st time I had a full night sleep was after 8 years but time flies by so quickly and I often think back..woe how did I survive? 😂 LOL! but the memories of nursing and being close to your babies is just the best. Hang in there, I promise it will get better! ❤❤❤
I think nursing makes nights easier and I get more sleep. I have a teething 18 months old who gets sick every other week (he goes to day care) and I nurse him all the time when his sick... He sleeps next to me so I don't need to get up at night or anything. Maybe you feel more tired because you are not co-sleeping?
Sleep deprivation is such a body wrecker. It will throw all of your systems off…. When my son was 4.5 I finally started getting “some” sleep and it slowly changed me for the better… hang in there!
Yes!
I don’t mean to be disrespectful or anything but a 16 month old doesn’t need to nurse at all at night unless he or she is extremely underweight. It sounds like possibly you are co sleeping and every time you move he wakes up to nurse so neither you nor baby are getting good sleep. It can really effect the baby’s mood and well being to be sleep deprived just like you. Maybe it’s time to introduce him or her to their own bed in another room and see if they sleep better. It’s something you do slowly and patiently and eventually you both will get better sleep.
I love your girls going to visit their grandmother!!! I am a grandmother and my relationship with my grandchildren is one if not the most important and beautiful relationship that I have. ❤❤❤
I am also a grandma. That is so true. My relationship with my granddaughter is just wonderful she spends a month with me in the summer and I see her every couple of months. There is no greater joy than a grandchild.
Kim, get the Jacuzzi but with the understanding your husband takes care of it! 😉
Retired teacher here… our district provided iXL for all of our students. We love it!
Yes you must bargain.
Oh Wolfgang. What a good pitter patter. 😂
Former health and science teacher here. In my health unit, we taught that caffeine uses energy faster. So when you drink coffee or an energy drink or soda, that surge of energy you get is you running through your energy faster and that’s why you crash. But you only get energy from food. Water and rest help your cells recover so you can utilize those energy reserves
Sourdough is a living thing. Living things don’t have to breathe though. They respire (all living things do). Which basically just means oxygen and carbon dioxide exchange
Wolfgang is the cutest boy ever and every time I see him I automatically smile. He melts my heart, and yours as well I know. Love your videos!
I would also say NO to the jacuzzi, it is one more thing to maintain and more laundry/towels!
I used to clean houses full time. I would either throw the water outside or down the toilet, carefully (then I just wiped the toilet one final time).
I started out using the utility sink, but cleaned for a plumber and over time the trap can fill up with sand/dirt from scrubbing the floors, so I changed the location of my disposal of water from then on.
Now, I’m a stay at home mama (cleaning very parttime for others nowadays) who also dumps my own water either down the toilet or outside at home.
I am always amazed at how different people are. Not good/bad...just different. I literally have anxiety when I see you just "dump" all the laundry into one load. I wish I could be that laid back.
Thanks for the happy, Kim! To my Wads Fam and Party People, YOU are NEEDED and LOVED more than you can imagine! xoxo
As a retired teacher you are an amazing parent. Your children will go far! Keep up the good work.
Kim your hair is gorgeous. Don't cut it too much. I had hair past the middle of my back and got sick of pulling it up like you do. After getting it cut in a short style, 3 days later I had a seizure and was hospitalized for a week. This has happened 3 times now, years apart. I'm almost afraid to brush it now. I guess my name was Samson in a previous life. lol!😂
Sending you a hug. I'm so lucky to have my Mom close. Shes finally retired and I have a 6 month old, its my first time ever having help with a baby. Yesterday she played with the bigger kids, helped my daughter do ger class Valentine's and folded my laundry. My baby is sick with a cold and i just got to hold him and not juggle like usual. It was glorious. Take care my friend.
I teach virtually and I use IXL every day! We couldn’t survive without it!
I was thinking, could you not do a pocket door right there like a custom one even so it’s a larger opening. Then when you have it open it’s basically a hallway. Just a thought ❤❤
I think it's great that the two oldest get to do something on their own, without the little ones and all the stress and always having to consider and include siblings - not matter how much you love your younger siblings, sometimes it's just nice to do something m9re mature and "older" alone 👍
I love the idea of a Murphy bookshelf….makes the hallway magical. It’s fun to have things in your home that most people don’t. Loving Wolfgang, such a joy. Wonderful the older girls are going on such an awesome trip!
We renovated our old house before selling it, and then built a new house. And let me just say, nothing anyone says can prepare you for just how stressful, time consuming, and expensive the whole process is. I feel your frustrations in my very core. So so so glad to be done with that chapter of my life. Now we get to see our kids grow up in our nice new house, and it feels worth it. We just try to ignore the little mistakes around the place, and be grateful for what went right.
You are so right! When we are listless, finding it hard to do the everyday things. As a mom and wife we just keep going and the water helps!
Wolfgang is just the cutest… I would squeeze him all
Day long as well…make sure you do it he’s growing up way to fast!!!
Can I share my fav BROWNIE recipe…it’s literally the BEST and so easy … hope u make it and love it as well
3 C sugar
3 C flour
3 cubes butter softened
6 eggs
3/4 C cocoa powder ( hersheys)
Salt
Vanilla
Bake 350 -- 30-35 min
Gooey brownies so check your ovens cooking time to what you like.. so you aren’t just eating batter which wouldn’t be bad either😛
Have a great weekend!!!
If Alex wants the jacuzzi then he can buy it and clean it, you have so much going on and your forever cleaning, take a break and have a lie in for one day, you’ve earned it!
Looks beautiful! Love the addition!
The reason for dumping liquids with solids (like mop water) down the toilet instead of the sink is due to the difference in drain size. The toilet has a much larger drain size than a sink, which means the liquid goes through the pipe faster, making it less likely for sediment to build up and block up the drain. Not sure if a utility sink is the same size drain as a regular sink though. At the end of the day though, if you haven't noticed your utility sink backing up often and needing to be cleared, then it's probably fine. You do you. 👍
I absolutely loved my time with my grandparents ❤ these are memories your girls will cherish forever ❤
Love the idea of the Murphy door and love the tiles.. One day everything will be done, hang on. Thank you for the field trip. Bonne journée Kim
Yes! Sleep is GOLD!
I saw it 3 seconds in, field trip, field trip! Thank goodness for video chatting, that is how I keep in touch with my great grandkids. We chat daily, so in between visits ( they only live less than 50 miles away) it’s a lot of video chatting. It’s the best way to keep in touch when we can’t visit frequently.
Thanks for another Kim. And that cardigan is a GEM!!!!!
Love the addition! I hope it's finished soon and you can move in. It'll be so nice! My great grandson is almost two and loved pushing the water thing on the refrigerator. He just left it run on the floor. I had to lock it when he was at my house. My favorite subject was science. 😊
The addition is going to be so fabulous when it is finished but my goodness you have been through so much just to get it where it is today. I feel your frustration but as you have said in previous videos it will get done eventually. I can hardly wait to watch you decorate it and get your office at the front of the house too. ❤🇨🇦
There is such a thing as burn out. Your body's telling you to take a break. Delegate, shate some tasks with your husband and children. Take care of you xx
Ma quanto bello è il bimbo ,stupendo ❤
Kim, sending hugs & big wishes for some darn good rest! ❤ You know you are not alone, and I so appreciate your honest look at your busy mom life! Take time for some self care…❤
You always bring "The Happy" Kim but I'm thinking you may need to up your game a little 'cuz ..... I think Wolfgang is stealing a bit of your thunder!!!
Oh my, how I loved that chubby little hand grabbing a handful of flour and seeing those little fingers sneaking a taste of the cookie batter! And then I can't help but mention how cute he looked with his "bedhead" hair-do! Brings back sooooo many wonderful memories to me!
Thank you sweetheart, for doing what you do ... I never watch one of your videos that I don't walk away better for it - whether you've given me recipe ideas or simply made me smile, I look forward to each & every one!
With much love, admiration and lots of virtual hugs from this little old lady way over here in Central Texas! God bless you darlin' & that sweet little towhead you're always toting around too!!!
Loved all the addition! It's beautiful. Hope the hallway door gets finalized soon.
Note: salt in cookies takes that weird flavor out that you thought was your arrowroot.
That precious little hand helping Mom💙
Hello Kim and family! WOW, that is trusting your children. Glad they get to see snow.......STTB
My favorite subject was reading! My grandson i turning 5 on Monday and really could use the help! ❤
Girl, i had one of those inflatable hot tubs for a couple years. My husband is the one whi wanted it. I ended up in there almost every night for fall, winter, and spring. Listening to relaxing music just 20-30 minutes and being under the stars was just unbelievable. A cold weather snap broke our pump. I feel lost!😂
Love the hidden door idea with the book shelf, Wolfgang is so adorable!!
I totally understand and you are hilarious
Hang in there, Kim. I know it’s exhausting having littles, but it really goes by so fast. I’m praying for you and thank you for sharing your life with us…you are so amazing. ❤️🙏🏻
Happy Thursday Kimberly !!! I have been waiting , thank you !!! ❤🎉
Pretty sweater…🌸💕🌷
I love the ‘NO’ answer to everything… it’s real life Kim and you’re a super mom … have a friend take Meredith and Wentworth and go out for a few hours with Alex and Wolfgang change of scenery …. Take a break and drink some coffee, try a latte to start with 😊
Wolfgang's little wave just melted my heart♡ I like the idea of a hidden door, & kids will love showing their friends! When I was a teen, I had an actual, 6-panel door inside my closet that led to a little room. My Mom bought the house while under construction, & when they said there was enough dead space to put a room, she said sure! I turned it into a study/art room, & loved it! I know w/e you do will be great, & functionality & practicality, of course, must come 1st:)
We love IXL! It really helps with the kids learning!
Love the idea of a secret passage to the add on....your bookcase door sounds so fun for the family.....I will be buying IXL for my granddaughter soon, she is turning three.....It looks so amazing and it will help my daughter to check progress easily to! You are adorable, have an amazing Supebowl sunday
Love the sweater!!
The addition is definitely looking good. I think there is nothing wrong with dumping the mop water in the utility sink. The ktchen sink is what I would have a problem with. You are awesome Kim!
Good morning beautiful! Favorite subject math, hands down! ❤
I loved language arts growing up and didnt realize all the components there is to it. Thank you for letting us know about IXL!
This is good content that's for sure!
The bookcase idea is fantastic! It will definitely keep the noise down with sleepovers, etc.
I love seeing Wolfgang, such a cutie. We need to see his fridge water skills😂
Good morning from Germany 😊 Love your videos ❤ Greetings to you and your family 🙂
Aaw hello neighbor 😊 I'm from the Czech republic ❤ 😁 love watching Kim's videos 🎉
@@monikaLovesSkz Hello neighbor🙋🏻♀️😊
Great video! Love the addition so far. I liked math in high school but I had an amazing teacher. Great teachers can make a boring hard subject fun! ❤
I love your channel. You do great.
Take your sleeping bag and a pillow and go hide out in the addition! 😂😂 see how long it takes for them to find mom 😂😂 haha
You can dump that mop water where ever you want! You have a septic, it all goes to the same place anyway. You are totally fine. I just loved all the Wolfgang moments. He is too adorable with the bedhead! Love all the baby fingers dipping in the cookie dough. Oh it brings back some sweet memories for me. 💓💗
Loved all of school subjects! Nerd!!!😂❤
I totally feel you on the touched out, talked out, why am I up early always. Silence is amazing some times. But mom life still rocks and your amazing
So glad the girls came up here and experienced snow❤..I wonder were they here a couple weeks back at same time we got our first snow of season? I swear ur addition is stressing me out and it's not my house but it is coming along and looking nice😊 Wolfgang is so precious his👋🏾👋🏾....the Murphy door wud be great🥰
You are amazing. xo
Happy Day Kim Always nice to share your day with you🥰
That’s why it’s called a utility sink. I worked as a hair stylist for 30 + years and we had utility sinks for mops, rags, for cleaning not for food purposes
Wolfgang's full on arrowroot powdered hand being used as a measuring device - hilarious! #KimberlyWhisk
I also understand the sleep issue. My almost 10 month old still hasn’t slept through the night. My first was sleeping through the night regularly by 6 months I’m pretty sure. I’m convinced it’s because he’s just hitting milestone after milestone since 3 months so it’s a never ending regression. And I’ve had a dakboard for years and love it! I have a whole weather section with radar on ours cuz we’re weather nerds. lol. We have ours mounted on the wall so it’s not on any counters.
That electronic calendar seems interesting! And Wolfgang is so handsome ❤❤❤
I love the bookcase doorway idea.
I have a hot tub they dont take much maintenance. Go for it!❤
Your hair is so gorgeous. ❤
Thanks for sharing, so much fun.😊❤🙏Ms.Ruby.
I loved science and my daughter loves it too!! ❤❤❤❤
Oh yes! Always make sure you get enough sleep. My mom was hospitalized recently for hallucinations and OCD type tendencies. She had not been sleeping very much, due to stress. I always drink water when I wake up. I do not like coffe.
Good morning friend! Look forward to your videos every morning after a total of maybe 6- hrs (nursing mama) makes me feel ALIVE! Looking forward to using IXL right now baby is only 8 mos. Okay, byeeee
I ordered my cake batter extract from amazon, never seen it in store. It does add a delicious flavor.
Happy Wednesday night. Love your channel so much. Sending you ❤ from Australia.
I dump my dirty floor water down my laundry sink... and I clean my paint brushes and shoes in that sink... isn't that what a laundry sink is for??? you do you Kim... some folks give too many opinions...lol... watching from Nova Scotia Canada
I'm sorry you're so tired ☹️❤️ I can understand you just needing a little time for yourself in the morning. Hope some day soon you can get some more sleep 😴
That's so fun that your girls got to go up north and enjoy some snow. I live in Ohio and I'm actually irritated that we only got one (maybe 2) days of snow this winter. With the exception of children I'm probably the ONLY person that gets irritated about that lol. Our winters here have changed drastically since I was younger and are nothing like they used to be. I feel like that's one of the reasons to live in the north is to have all of the seasons, but lately we really don't have winters anymore, and to me that's sad lol.
Yes that’s what the utility sink is for
Shiney tile!
Honestly the door isnt that bad. I would just accept it and it's going to be like an insane amount of money like you have the extra space I mean aesthetically maybe it's not the look you were going for but the fact that you have more room for that bus line household full of beautiful babies is good. Also I totally think like a hidden door would be really fun there because it would be like the kids have some secret passageway and being a kid like that would just make it more exciting for them.
That's what the utility sink is for!!! Lol 👍 to Kim's cleaning service!!
Love your channel. Drinking water with lemon in the mornings is excellent.
Per family members with a jacuzzi---it's a lot of work.
Here in England, I use self raising flour for cakes, plain flour for pastries and biscuits and bread flour obviously for bread. I have never heard of cake batter extract.
Omg yes honey jalapeno hummus! Just tried it last week!
Hi Kim!! I love that the girls are going to spend time with their grandma ☺️. They’ll remember this trip forever 😊. At this point of the addition the labor should be free…like the whole thing. If only…right? 😉. Hope you have a good day today! 🕊️
